Hello, darlings! Emma here, your favourite pink tutu-wearing time-travelling drag queen blogger! I hope you're all well and thriving, and that your days are filled with glamour and glitz!
This month, I've been twirling through the time-space continuum on a whirlwind tour through history - a bit of a throwback this month, wouldn't you say? Itâs May 2034, and, frankly, it's a real trip! We're getting into some exciting trends, both on and off the stage, and you know me, darling, I just have to share!
But first, a little about my journey this month. As usual, my magical pink tutu whisked me through the decades with a snap of my sequined gloves. First stop - a quick pitstop to 1950s New York! Now, New York is always a thrill, but the energy in the Village back then was just sparkling, particularly in the little cabaret clubs where the drag scene was blossoming. They had this fabulous thing called a âdrag ballâ which basically involved queens showing off their finest gowns, performing for glory and, of course, to win trophies! It was so much fun!
Next up, a jaunt to Paris in 1970s. Imagine it: a glamorous Parisian night with music pumping and everyone dressed in dazzling outfits. I have to admit, the fashion was a bit avant-garde â think oversized platforms, leather, and a dash of theatrical sparkle! The drag scene there was all about breaking norms and being unapologetically you - so liberating!
Moving onto 1980s Los Angeles - a whirlwind of sequins and glamour! That decade, my dears, saw the rise of mega-queens. You've heard of RuPaul, but did you know there were so many other queens captivating the crowds? This is where we see drag really become big, from those underground shows to mainstream TV!
Then, finally, I found myself whisked to present day - the world of drag in 2034! Well, the world of drag in 2034 is simply phenomenal! The future, my darlings, is bright, diverse, and, let's be honest, totally dazzling!
Drag, as I always say, is not about any one look or any one stage, but about empowering individuality through fabulous performances, expressive costumes and boundless talent.
And what's better, there's an amazing online platform for drag performers everywhere called Drag World, a huge online community for queens to network, show off their artistry, share knowledge and, well, just be gloriously fabulous! They even host a monthly Drag Olympics where performers from across the globe compete in a series of exciting, entertaining challenges! The platform is literally booming - talk about global inclusivity!
Now, let's chat about what's happening in the drag scene this very month:
This Monthâs Top Shows!London, England

The Fashion: It's A Tutu-tastic World Out There!
Now, you know how much I love a fabulous pink tutu, and the great news is - they are officially having a major moment this month! Forget your sleek and minimalist black gowns - itâs all about ruffles, frills and flamboyant colors, darling! Pink, of course, is my personal pick!
Here are some trends Iâm obsessed with:- The Power of Pink: Weâre talking shocking pink, hot pink, pale pink - every shade, baby, every shade! Think playful pink feathers, ruffled pink tulle skirts, sparkling pink bodysuits and even pink platform boots!
- More is More: It's about showcasing personality, and in this seasonâs case, plenty of personality! Iâm seeing layers, tiers, exaggerated ruffles, intricate beadwork - let your fabulous flag fly, baby!
- Go Global: Mixing global elements into your fashion is huge this month! It's a kaleidoscope of colour and influence! Think Chinese silks, Japanese prints, Indian embellishments and all that vibrant South American charm!
This is just the beginning of all the wonderful, magical, glitzy things happening in the drag world this month, and thatâs what I love! I believe itâs the beginning of a truly glamorous era! So get out there and have fun with your outfits, dance like nobody is watching, and be proud of who you are.
As always, if you see me in my magical pink tutu on your time travels, be sure to come and say hello! And keep the sequins sparkling!
And please, darling, tell everyone: The world needs more pink tutus!
Lots of love,
Emma xoxo
