It's that magical time of year again ā the festive season where twinkly lights and a touch of snow are simply divine. The crisp, frosty air is positively begging for a performance at a grand old theatre in a Derbyshire town centre, all glittering and full of wonder. Now, where was I? Ah yes, 2025! Now in this year, the world of ballet was, shall we say, bursting with life. It was the era of experimentation and innovation, with everything from immersive multimedia performances to street ballets shaking things up! Imagine, ballet outdoors in the midst of a London winter wonderland! Think beautiful choreographed dances on the ice of the Serpentine in Hyde Park!
So what were the big shows in 2025? Well, hold onto your pink tutus, my dears, because we were spoilt for choice. The Royal Ballet debuted a breathtakingly modern interpretation of The Nutcracker.
