Pink Tutu Travels: A December Delight! (Post #108)

Hello my lovely pink-tutu-wearing friends! It's your girl Emma here, back with another exciting escapade through time. This month, my trusty steed Magic Meg and I galloped right back to 12th December 1669, a date brimming with ballet history. It was like stepping into a painting, except with far more energy and grace!

As always, I donned my favourite, fluffiest pink tutu โ€“ a touch of 21st century flair for the 17th century! The soft fabric twirled around my legs, creating a vibrant splash of colour amidst the rich velvets and silks of the time. And Magic Meg, her golden hooves gleaming in the sunshine, was a sight to behold!

Now, 1669 is a rather exciting year in the world of dance, as you all know! It was the year that The Royal Academy of Dance was founded, officially establishing the world of professional ballet. Imagine the excitement, the creativity bubbling up in the Parisian streets, a whole new stage being created for the dance world! I can just imagine the swish of the petticoats and the tinkling laughter of young ballerinas, their eyes alight with anticipation!

I had the most wonderful time! It was a chance to meet the founders, Louis XIV himself, and some of the first professional dancers - those very first stars who paved the way for the dance world we know today! They were truly magnificent. It was like watching the birth of something brilliant, a spark that would light up the entire dance world!

In my rucksack, I tucked away some of their costumes, so full of rich silks and beautiful embroidery, they reminded me of blooming flower petals! A touch of theatre in every single stitch! It's always amazing to witness history's grand events - and nothing quite excites me like seeing those historical figures, whose talent ignited a revolution!

Speaking of exciting, what a year 1669 has been for ballet! The King, you know, the man with the sunshine in his hair, he's a real dance aficionado! And he, just like me, believes everyone should own a tutu! You should have seen his exquisite dancing shoes, the design is nothing short of a work of art!

But the highlight of this trip wasn't just seeing the King. It was, of course, the Ballet performance! My, oh my! A grand theatrical spectacle with music, dance, and costumes fit for a queen! There was so much energy and so much love for dance; the air practically buzzed with excitement! You could feel the magic in the air! It was, of course, my favourite part of the trip.

And as I sat amongst the fashionable ladies of the Court, I couldnโ€™t help but wonder โ€“ where did their favourite tutus come from? You see, fashion back then was more about flowing robes and rich brocades, a stark contrast to our vibrant tutus. I did wonder, what if these women were given the choice, what would they wear? Would they pick the elegance of a flowing robe, or would they embrace the swirling joy of a pink tutu?

It got me thinking โ€“ maybe, just maybe, a pink tutu can truly bring people together, even across time! Maybe, thatโ€™s my purpose, my destiny โ€“ to take this little piece of magic, this explosion of pink tulle, and share it with the world! Maybe, someday, we will see all the world dressed in their favourite tutus, twirling together under a shared love for dance and joy!

For now, I leave you all to imagine, and dream about that magical pink tutu, as vibrant and full of possibilities as a starry night sky. Until next time, keep dancing, and remember, the world looks better with a touch of pink!

Now, go forth and find that perfect pink tutu! And if you need a little inspiration, pop over to my website www.pink-tutu.com!

Stay sparkly,

Emma.
