With my leather rucksack brimming with anticipation, I’m off to gather stories and secrets from a bygone era, adding them to my growing collection of ballet treasures.

My 10th October 1858 Adventures:
Magic Meg and I arrived in Paris just in time for the opening night at the Opéra de Paris! Oh, my darlings! I just HAD to share! The air crackled with excitement, and as the orchestra began to play, I knew I was witnessing something special.
We watched the renowned dancer, Fanny Cerrito, execute a complex series of fouettés – truly mesmerising! I scribbled furiously in my journal, adding a little of the magical energy of the performance to my collection of ballet memories. I felt like a true ballet aficionado as I took it all in – the opulence, the costumes, the passion, the beauty – all so captivating!
The atmosphere was electric, the whispers of approval blending with the elegant rustle of fabrics as the ballet unfolded.
Afterwards, darling, Magic Meg and I visited one of the most esteemed dressmakers of the time, and let me tell you – we're talking about a fashionista's paradise!
I purchased the most divine pink satin fabric - imagine, delicate silk, swirling with pink tulle - a total DREAM for a new tutu design! Just thinking about it sends shivers of excitement down my spine. I know my next performance in this masterpiece of a tutu will be an absolute showstopper!
Oh, and as a little something extra to show off my Parisian adventures, I found the most exquisite feather boa, shimmering pink, of course. You see, it's not just the tutus, it's about embracing the full pink ballet fashion experience!
And now, as we head back to Derbyshire, I already can't wait for next month's adventure! It feels so special to connect with this magnificent history and celebrate the art of ballet. You never know where the pink tulle might take me next!
I'll keep you updated, my dears! Remember to check in with me every month here on pink-tutu.com for new tales, and keep those tutus twirling!
Much love, Emma
P.S. What’s YOUR favourite colour for a tutu? I adore a pink, but let me know your thoughts and maybe I’ll add it to my time travel bucket list for our next adventure!
