Pink Tutu Time Travel - Post 3035: 11th November, 1913

Hello, darlings! Emma here, and it's time for another exciting adventure in the pinkest, most twirly time machine this side of the English countryside. It's 11th November, 1913 today, and wouldn't you know it, I'm in London town, ready to soak up all the fabulous ballet that this era has to offer.

Now, you may be thinking "1913? Surely, that's ages ago! What's going on in ballet then?" Well, my little loves, 1913 was a real golden era for ballet! And if you think tutus were only about that traditional fluffy white look, you'd be mistaken!

Magic Meg, my beautiful pink-sparkling Shire with those golden hooves and that flowing white mane, whisked me here in record time (we do love a good trot). Now, the day I'm in London to visit the Royal Opera House (fancy!) to see Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes perform "Le Sacre du Printemps". Yes, that very piece which was quite the scandal at the premiere a few years back!

Imagine – staged in the very heart of London, by the most innovative dance company of the time. What’s more, I hear rumours the costumes are just spectacular, even the ones that weren’t in that stunning pink shade, darling. A splash of pink would really set those earthy colours off!

This, my darlings, is why I love time travel, it’s like stepping into a whole new ballet world, with its own fascinating stories and fashion moments. You're probably wondering what I've already found to stash away in my leather rucksack today – because, my dear loves, every time I visit a new era I have to pick up a few little souvenirs. Well, let's just say I'm already planning my shopping list. After the performance, I'm going to hit Bond Street in search of some 1913 fashion inspiration.

Imagine, it's all about luxurious velvets and soft chiffons, with a hint of lace. Who knows, perhaps I'll find some delicate ballet shoes, just the sort I love to collect and add to my own dazzling collection.

But it's not all about the shows, darling. My passion for ballet extends to everything – from street performers and even the lovely old Victorian dancing classes still popping up here and there. And trust me, I'm always on the lookout for some pink tutus to add to my ever-growing collection. They say that "ballet is like a conversation you have with your own body," and that certainly seems to hold true. It's like stepping into a beautiful dialogue between artistry, grace, and the history of the art form. And speaking of beautiful stories, you all know my mission is to inspire every woman to try on a pink tutu and experience the sheer joy of twirling.

I believe that pink is the most elegant and magical colour - don’t you agree?

I’ll leave you with this thought as I explore the wonders of 1913, my darlings: When it comes to ballet, every era is filled with magic and mystery, a real invitation to explore the world with a little bit of grace and elegance.

Don’t forget to tune in next month for a fresh, pink time-traveling adventure! Remember, you can follow my time-travel escapades on www.pink-tutu.com.

Happy twirling, loves!
