Hello lovelies,
It's Emma here, your Pink Tutu Time Travelling bestie, and December is upon us! Can you believe it? This month, Magic Meg and I are whisking ourselves away to the vibrant and colourful world of 12th December 2002! We're embracing all the holiday cheer and sparkling lights, but most importantly, the fantastic world of ballet on that magical date!
You know me, I can't resist a bit of a festive fashion fiesta! This month, I've packed a gorgeous pink sequined tutu with glittering silver trim. It just sparkles and shines under the December starlight. For a bit of a wintery touch, I'm pairing it with a luxurious velvet jacket in a shade of rosy pink. Now, wouldn't that just make a perfect outfit for a festive ballet performance?
And oh my, wouldn't you just love the magic of 2002! Just imagine the thrilling ballet performances going on in the world:
The Royal Ballet, back at their gorgeous home, the Royal Opera House in London, was captivating audiences with "The Sleeping Beauty." Oh, to be there witnessing the delicate and charming story unfold! Just picture those graceful dancers in their beautiful tutus, dancing to the enchanting Tchaikovsky score. Swoon!
At the New York City Ballet, they were treating their lucky audiences to "Symphony in C," a joyous celebration of music and movement. The energy and spirit of that performance must have been truly dazzling! I can already picture the brilliant costumes, vibrant colours and dynamic choreography. Imagination running wild!
And across the pond, at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, the iconic "Swan Lake" was captivating audiences with its powerful story and breathtaking choreography. Just thinking about the grandeur of the sets and costumes makes me feel like I'm twirling alongside the dancers on stage!
But the magic of December 2002 doesn't stop there! Just imagine those vibrant and fashionable street performances, ballet schools humming with young dancers and, of course, all the gorgeous shops brimming with festive ballet gear! And wouldn't you just adore those glittering decorations and the festive feeling in the air?
Just picture this: Magic Meg, with her white mane and tail glowing in the December moonlight, galloping us through the streets. As I clutch my ballet bag full of sparkling hairpins and dainty ballet shoes, I see festive lights sparkling everywhere. We stop at a shop with rows of exquisite tutus hanging in the window, and I feel the twirl in my soul just looking at them!
And just like the glittering tinsel and bright Christmas lights, the memories we gather on our time-traveling adventures light up our hearts and make each day extra special. We might not be able to have real-life ballet parties every month, but we can share this beautiful journey with all of you, dear readers!
As always, thank you for joining me on another fabulous time-traveling escapade. And donโt forget to visit www.pink-tutu.com every month for a new time-travelling ballet adventure!
Donโt forget to wear pink, embrace the tutu, and never stop dreaming.
Much love, Emma and Magic Meg.
