This month, we're pirouetting back to 5th May, 1919, a time of roaring twenties glamour just starting to blossom. The cobbled street was buzzing with excitement, the day was filled with the melodic chatter of young dancers and the comforting scent of freshly polished wooden floors.
Stepping into the studio, I was transported to a world of lace-trimmed leotards and frilled tutus. The dancers, their hair swept up in neat buns, looked both graceful and remarkably practical.
