Leotard Fashion Travels: 2032 10. #LeotardHistory

Hello darlings, and welcome to my #LeotardHistory time travel blog post! Today we’re exploring a most wonderful decade for leotard fashion - the shimmering, sparkling future! It’s me, Emma, from Derbyshire, England, and it’s so exciting to be back here on www.pink-tutu.com. This is post number 2086 - so I’ve been sharing my love of leotards and pink tutus for a very long time. But if you’re a new reader, a very warm welcome to you all - I am so thrilled that you are here, let’s get on with our little adventure.

As you all know, I fund my time-travelling by doing street ballet performances. My little shows all around the globe mean that my leotard wardrobe is ever-growing. It really is quite the collection by now, and of course my pink sparkling time travelling leotard has its very own special case in my little travelling trunk, in my very sparkly room back at home. You wouldn’t believe what a sight my bedroom is with my sparkly collection of leotards, all neatly labelled in little white cotton boxes. I find that having everything nicely labelled makes it easier to pack my trunk for these little jaunts. The colours, the textures, and the designs are absolutely breath-taking.

Each time I arrive at my destination - my most recent time travels have taken me to places such as Paris, Tokyo and Rio - the people who live there think that my little leotard wardrobe shows and my pink sparkling time travelling leotard, and especially the little pink tutu, are just a touch flamboyant. What they don’t know is that they should just go for it. Life is all about having fun, and leotards are such wonderful and flexible attire - and with the way trends are going in the world of fashion - leotards are a wardrobe essential for everyone - but they can be a touch pricey, so you may need to start saving. The average leotard in a high street store - if you can find one - is around £40, which really is the bare minimum - a little bit more and you can have your favourite ballet company look with the top brands - a perfect, well made leotard from a high-end brand will be around £80 or a little bit more - with some brands coming in at around the £100 mark. But it’s worth it, for a classic timeless and very hard-wearing design.

There really is nothing like a beautifully crafted, timeless classic piece - a lovely high-end leotard is always going to be an asset in your leotard collection. And that brings me onto my destination this month - 2032.

Yes - it’s 2032, it feels strange to be here and be looking into the future! It is such a thrill for me to step back into time. To see what fashion looks like in this era. To say it's amazing is just an understatement - I'm really struggling for words to tell you all just how wonderfully stylish this particular moment in time is. And what better place to explore what 2032 has to offer for leotard fans than London - I do love a trip to the capital. To catch up with my London ballet friends and see their collection. But oh the new styles in 2032 - oh! the creativity and beauty of it all. There’s been such a surge in popularity with a touch of the bohemian. I know you will be just as excited as I am - here is a selection of the styles to be spotted this year in leotard land – and the looks to keep you all totally on trend. I have taken a great deal of photos of all my new ideas - but for now I’ll let the text inspire you until I can post my full fashion-trend-setting collection.

Leotard Fashion in London 2032.

The world of leotard fashion in London 2032 - oh my. London fashionistas really have a unique eye for trends and the designers know that it has to be more than just the latest and most fashionable - leotard fashion is all about quality in the feel of the garment as well as its beautiful lines and designs. Londoners are demanding leotards with real, tangible, soft comfortable feels, as well as gorgeous looking lines. The world’s very best fashion designers, I am told, are now spending as much time looking at the tactile textures as well as how a leotard will drape and sit on the body as how it looks on the catwalk. The whole leotard experience has a strong focus on its texture - Londoners want their leotard to feel nice, not just look nice - and London really does have a leotard style all of its own. So let’s dive right into the fashion world of the 2032 Leotard.

The London Leotard look 2032: The key pieces to a stylish leotard wardrobe.

Firstly - to say London 2032’s leotard fashion is about comfort would be the biggest understatement ever, it's just the style, but also a strong message about fashion being sustainable, natural and gentle. It's really quite fabulous to witness. I think I’m in love with the London look for the 2030s. A whole world of different and unique colours - from bold splashes of orange and purple to the cool shades of grey and teal, mixed in with flashes of classic blue and black.

This really is what makes the leotard fashion here stand out so much - not to mention how easy they are to dress up with all sorts of fantastic new shoes. And I’m not talking about just heels and flat sandals - no, 2032 takes it all a step further.

So for the first few pieces, lets’ just get back to the basics, shall we. There is a very distinctive look about 2032 leotards – all very well cut and classic - a blend of classic elegance with a touch of a bohemian. It is definitely all about well-fitting garments which are flattering, stylish and so so so so, comfortable! It's hard to put into words just how incredible it feels to slip on these leotards - very very stylish! And it's not just a case of colour and texture, its more of a feel - a beautiful and natural feel for the skin. That is what’s so different about the 2032 leotard. Think comfort and fashion all wrapped up into one gorgeous leotard.

The second important piece of this beautiful London fashion look is what goes on top - there’s lots to explore, but if you want to look ultra stylish and make a statement – a fabulous jacket - oh I am so impressed by the jackets and coats in London, the variety of cuts, colours, and designs will keep your look right on trend. And so important - an absolutely amazing and very well cut jacket.

To help keep things in budget, I recommend a visit to your local charity shop. Some of the greatest pieces in the world of leotard fashion, especially the vintage stuff are to be found in charity shops at a bargain price! It really is worth making a weekend of it! You will be delighted!

London leotards are so well cut, they are flattering for every shape, they really are such an easy and versatile outfit. I’ve been out for lots of little meals, some beautiful and stylish theatre visits - which are wonderful. And that really makes leotards just so perfect, they make you look elegant for going to dinner or looking stylish and fun for a dance in the park with your friends - leotards really are versatile, adaptable and elegant, no matter how you style them!

Shopping, Food, Music and the Leotard

Oh! If you get a chance, go and have a cup of coffee or some amazing herbal tea. There's a beautiful organic café around the corner from where I am staying, called The London Leotard and Tea Shop. - with the most gorgeous vegetarian menus. It is very popular with the local people, all very relaxed and chic, and most of the girls are wearing the coolest leotard fashion.

Oh - and whilst you are in the cafe – keep an eye out for the amazing busker-ballet show, all leotard wearing performers of course! I did watch this little group. It was absolutely brilliant! It was wonderful, the girls just performed as they relaxed and had a chat. They did a mixture of classical moves, which was quite something in leotards!

Oh and talking of food - did I mention - one of the must have foodie delights is the new 2032 Pink Leotard Scone – just delicious. You can buy a beautiful leotard-shaped pink scone with little mini pieces of fresh chocolate-strawberry sprinkles. You need to have one - the perfect leotard-themed treat for any leotard fancier.

There’s such an energetic and electric feel in London. This era has taken things to a whole other level with leotard fashion – it is simply sensational, London 2032 has taken the leotard from a piece of sportswear for dancing into a stunning fashion essential.

Dancing to Ballet, Shows, Fashion Shows - My Favourite Moments

There have been so many lovely shows in London that have left me totally star-struck. You're in a little bubble of time when you’re sitting in the auditorium waiting for the curtain to rise - oh the excitement - and that magical feel! It’s not just me, it is the buzz that runs through the audience, that very tangible electricity as we all wait.

And of course, my trip wouldn't be complete without watching some classic performances - it is impossible to visit London and not go and see a couple of amazing ballet shows! Such amazing dancing - the beautiful outfits! It's hard to take it all in - so much style and beauty in one room! I did think, the leotard style is just as exciting here – and what better way to feel on trend – just wear a simple leotard and be done with it - all you need to add is a stylish bag to put all your leotard stuff in - maybe some lip balm or a lipstick and some pretty make-up, just a little mascara or a lovely eyeshadow to create your perfect ballet look - with lots of black liner, you just need that dramatic look - the little cat’s eye is just perfect with this 2032 look.

But to tell you the truth, there are just too many fabulous shows here to mention, so to get you up to date on this amazing fashion world I think it would be better to just share the best leotard outfits I have spotted from all the best shows.

First up the Ballet in London.

The outfits in ballet performances - have to be seen to be believed - oh my how utterly fabulous it was! Some stunning new designs and some wonderful classic cuts with beautiful patterns! You cannot go to London and not see a ballet - you can dress up or wear a stylish and chic leotard - the fashion world of the theatre really is amazing in this era - lots of velvet and soft fabrics and the most beautiful, sleek, high-gloss colours - with lots of wonderful sparkly fabrics, especially in pink! And of course, this is the time for pink in all its different colours - hot pink, baby pink and all the colours in between!

So just let me show you some of my top 3 must have ballet leotards for the year - some real trends! The outfits in ballet are so well cut - lots of really beautiful long leotard outfits - all so sleek – with soft but really high-gloss coloured leotards – the ballet performers really do make these clothes look utterly brilliant!

My number 1 top must have look was this long, elegant ballet outfit - such a perfect fit - with lots of layers and so soothing and beautiful! I would wear it all day, it just flows! A timeless and really fabulous ballet outfit. The design is very soft-looking - a beautiful charcoal grey with a classic design, not too much pattern, but just a beautiful soft, well fitted ballet outfit with a beautiful flowing scarf - the design just flows as you move. The grey colour made the outfits stand out - there were splashes of colour throughout the outfits, like silver or white to just give a touch of light and shine.

And the final look of the 3 must-have- looks of the 2032 leotards was this gorgeous long and really stylish flowing number, with long straps of the softest velvet to tie around the neck and lots of beautiful movement, with touches of deep red and bright fuchsia, in amongst lots of classic black - it really did flow as they moved - you could feel how light and easy it would be to move around the stage. So, so chic! I need a trip back to London, now - it has me hooked on leotards again.

What a great era 2032 is, there really is something in it for everyone - I have no idea what time will bring next, but whatever happens - you can count on me to be out exploring. So do have a look at some of the shows on your doorstep - and let me know what you’ve been up to! And why not wear a tutu – what better way to enjoy life, especially with the pink colour being a major trend of 2032, - the trendsetter that I am, I will make sure I’ll keep you updated on all the trends as I travel around! I must say – I really am smitten with leotards – it really is such a versatile outfit. What’s not to love? You look great, and they are so easy to look smart in and of course they can also be just so fun – all for that stylish look. Until next month, keep exploring!
