Dearest Tutu-Lovers!
Welcome back to Pink Tutu World! Today's blog is all about a trip I took earlier this week to one of the most captivating and unique places in the galaxy - Planet Earth! It was quite the journey, as you can imagine. You see, darling, getting from one solar system to another in this big, beautiful, universe ain't like hopping on the tube to Piccadilly Circus, is it? Oh no, darling. This journey was quite the affair!
It's all a bit complicated, really, the whole time-space continuum thing, but, suffice to say, I took the usual spaceship, the "Pink Sparkles". As we're all about pink here, darling, the 'Pink Sparkles' always gets us to our destinations with maximum panache!
The reason for my trip, you ask? Oh, it's all part of my mission to make sure that the whole universe gets to experience the joy, the elegance, the absolute pure beauty that comes with wearing a pink tutu! The "Pink Tutu World" project, as I call it. It's quite ambitious, yes, but we must aim high, don't we darlings?!
As a fellow Pink Tutu World ambassador, you already know, of course, that everyone can rock a pink tutu!
I arrived in this rather intriguing planet called Earth last Tuesday evening, in the most incredible outfit - think silver sequins, a vibrant pink tutu, sparkly white tights, and, of course, my signature pink stilettos. A true goddess, don't you think?
The first thing I had to do, obviously, was indulge in some fabulous shopping. The city lights, the street musicians, the shops! Earth is definitely a visually vibrant and exciting place! I visited all sorts of exciting shops: Harrods, Topshop, Debenhams - oh, the extravagance, the decadence, the utter loveliness!
Of course, my mission was about to begin! This time, the mission had me performing on Earth. Can you believe it? Not in some spaceship in the depths of space! This time, in front of Earthlings. Now, that is exciting, isn't it?!
Earth is such a fantastic place. For example, this whole "theatre" thing. Apparently, in the olden days - we're talking way, way back, darling - theatre wasn't an established thing, but I do like the way this place does theatre now. What a delightful place for an "ensemble", or for an "ensemble" to meet! "Ensemble" - that's a French term!
I landed a slot in one of these theatres in London (another of their exciting cities), on one of their, what did they call them, their “stage”. An actual "theatre stage" - quelle surprise! You should have seen it darling - they had red velvet seats and these sparkly little things on the walls called “stars”. Imagine a stage filled with a Pink Tutu World audience in all those glittery stars and beautiful pink tutus... that’s what I hope we’ll achieve with the "Pink Tutu World" project darling. And who knows? Maybe I’ll be up there doing a pink tutu show with my stars and my audience one day!
Of course, no trip to this fascinating planet would be complete without visiting two of Earth's other amazing destinations - the iconic, the iconic Royal Ballet in the city of London, and the London Palladium where they put on incredible theatrical events! The people were wonderful - the Earthlings, I mean! So very warm and welcoming. There are some great things to explore on Earth, you know. Not only that, but Earth's theatres are full of history and ballet's rich tradition.
There's something so magical about walking through a ballet theatre or watching a beautiful production, isn't there? Ballet's always had that incredible energy about it, which is something that Earthlings just can't deny, and with good reason! There's always so much to see and be inspired by when it comes to the “classical” world of ballet. I mean, it has had a long tradition, but it can still be very stylish - if you do it right!
I spent a long afternoon in one of these delightful stores on Oxford Street, which is apparently a world-famous street where some very important "fashion" stores, like a place called River Island, were situated. I found a pink tutu and two white and pink floral ones that, you'll never guess!
Perfectly* matched* my silver sequined bodice and my sparkling white tights - what a divine stroke of luck! They are all destined for Pink Tutu World, that's for sure.
However, this trip was not all about ballet. Yes, it is Pink Tutu World and yes, it is a mission to get the whole universe wearing a pink tutu! But we can't ignore a bit of festive cheer at this time of year, darling, because even a pink tutu ballerina girl loves Christmas! The most charming, most festive holiday. Christmas on Earth was amazing! Imagine sparkling lights and the smells of mulled wine, cinnamon and ginger.
They also have something rather strange on this planet called "carols". They do make a strange humming, though I can't deny that there's some beauty in them and of course, I always manage to find the positive in everything. Maybe next Christmas we'll be singing Christmas carols in a pink tutu. And why not, I think we should definitely make some ballet Christmas music in pink tutus - the "Pink Tutu World Christmas Ballet". Can you picture it? All these graceful moves set to some Christmas carols in the pink tutu most lovely festive spirit? Well, I can and it will be spectacular! You just wait!
I know it seems like a huge project but what I hope is to take "Pink Tutu World" to new and exciting heights. Who would have ever thought a small village girl in Derbyshire with a passion for dancing would turn her life's passion into an intergalactic project?
Well, I will let you all go now, my darling "Pink Tutu World" followers, so you can start planning for your own amazing trips to Earth in 2023. The universe is waiting to be conquered - with a Pink Tutu!
Keep twirling! Emma * www.pink-tutu.com*
