Hello, my dearest darlings! 💖 It’s Wednesday again, which means it’s time for another post on www.pink-tutu.com! Grab yourselves a cuppa, settle in on your spaceship’s most comfy couch, and get ready for some fabulous updates from Planet Earth! This week, I’m overflowing with excitement – I just returned from a truly magical journey to a rather unique theatre in London! ✨
But first, let’s chat about tutu-tastic news. As always, I'm living my life in a whirl of pink tulle and dreams, spreading my love of ballet wherever I go. Did you know that January 17th marks the birthday of the legendary choreographer, Sir Frederick Ashton? We must honour him for his stunning work in the ballet world, don't we, dears? It's a good excuse for a twirl!
My ballet schedule this week has been packed with a divine performance of Swan Lake in a fabulous new production by the Royal Ballet – oh, the choreography! The dramatic lighting! The exquisite tutus (naturally)! I simply can't wait to show you all the pics!
I even had the opportunity to go shopping for a new pair of dance shoes – sparkly gold, naturally. 💎 It’s truly important to have the perfect pair of dance shoes for each tutu, and let's face it, my dear, every ballerina deserves a little bit of sparkle! I mean, it's just so much fun, you can't beat that feeling! 💖 You'd think I'd be tired, but my energy levels have been through the roof since landing on Planet Earth!
Speaking of energy, have you seen those stunning new pastel-pink energy drinks at the space station’s supermarket? Such vibrant colours! I absolutely had to pick up a box (or twelve)!
But I know what you're thinking - you want to hear about my theatre trip! I was in London for a few days, soaking up the bustling atmosphere and taking in the sights – and the tutus, of course! You see, there's a tiny, intimate little theatre there that I simply had to visit. It's tucked away, but don't be fooled! This is no ordinary theatre. I’m talking about the West End’s very own miniature stage, The Vaults. ✨
Now, you're probably wondering, "Emma, what’s so special about that theatre?". Well, you see, it’s not the theatre itself that's special - it's the ballet performance that took place within its hallowed walls! 💖 It's an independent company called The Ballet Society. This wonderful little ensemble brought me to the edge of my seat – and then swirled me away with its magical storytelling. They brought us tales from Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet, the classic beauty of Giselle, and the playful delight of The Sleeping Beauty. And it's a bonus because it takes me right back to my ballet roots – remember those early days when it all started for me? Being that tiny girl twirling around a Derbyshire garden! 🌸
Every so often, it's important to remember where you came from. And The Ballet Society reminded me that magic and beauty can exist within any space, even in a tiny, dark room tucked away under the bustling city. It really made me think – perhaps we can create magic wherever we go, in any tutu. ✨
I truly believe every ballerina, no matter how small, has the power to bring a touch of wonder to the world. Every twirl is a journey and every pointe shoe steps with a promise.
It's such an extraordinary feeling to travel across galaxies and perform for the universe! The joy I see in the eyes of all my lovely space-travelling fans warms my heart, even through those thick, fuzzy interstellar space-suit jackets! 💖
Don't forget to keep your tutus shimmering! Remember to live your dreams, sparkle your best, and always twirl with grace and a sprinkle of pink! 😉
With all my love and a little bit of sparkle, Emma, Your Favourite Tutu Queen xx
P.S. Remember to check in next week for more updates from my exciting, ballet-filled adventures! And follow me on all the social media platforms for daily glimpses of my life as a ballet dancer. Until then, stay pink and twirly! 🌸✨
