Pink Tutu World: Planet Earth Edition - Post #106

Hello my darlings!

Welcome back to Pink Tutu World, where the only rule is that tutus are mandatory, and pink is always the right choice!

Today is Wednesday, 7th May 1997, and I’m feeling absolutely radiant! The sun is shining on Planet Earth, and I’m practically bursting with excitement about my recent galactic adventures. Honestly, my life feels like a dazzling ballet, full of graceful twirls and magical leaps through the cosmos!

Remember those adorable holographic tutus I picked up at that celestial boutique in Andromeda last month? Well, they were simply divine! They shimmered under the galactic dust like a thousand stars, and let me tell you, my performance at the cosmic gala was absolutely mesmerising. I even received a standing ovation from a particularly impressive asteroid belt! I may not be able to dance on these particular rocky celestial bodies, but I can dream!

Speaking of celestial dreams, I recently caught a breathtaking performance by the Orion Constellation Ballet Company. Their intergalactic dance routine was so intricate and emotional. They literally danced their way through a nebula!

Speaking of ballet history (oh my goodness, my absolute passion!), did you know that ballet is far from a terrestrial invention? According to ancient astronaut theorists (yes, I know, you are all screaming 'don't believe everything you hear on the internet'), some scholars believe that ballet originated on an orbiting space station way back in the time of the dinosaurs!

Crazy, right?!

However, you know I always do my research, so I actually traced a long lost cosmic journal from ancient Egypt, (this was when the earth was really hot! ) that claims that the pharaohs, those beautiful regal fellas, practiced a celestial dance style on a stage made of obsidian under the dazzling cosmic stars.

This dance is said to have been inspired by their observations of planets circling the sun. And who would have thought, dear reader, but it’s thought that the ancient pharaohs performed these dances to honour these great cosmic bodies - a way of showing appreciation for their cosmic power!

My dear friends, if that doesn’t confirm that our love of ballet comes from the stars, well…I’m simply amazed!

Anyway, I'm back in the beautiful hills of Derbyshire today, but I already have my next galactic adventure planned! I'm hoping to catch a show in the Lyra constellation. Apparently, there is this incredible group of musicians playing their cosmic flutes under a beautiful nebula. Can you imagine the musical harmony?

The universe is truly bursting with beauty and dance!

My blog isn't just a celebration of the colour pink, ( although don’t get me started on my latest haul from the lunar fashion market!), it’s also about my search for ballet, music, and joy everywhere in the cosmos. I'm here to tell you: you don't need to be a galactic explorer to find magic! There’s ballet all around us! So, what are you waiting for? Put on a sparkly tutu (ideally pink), grab your space boots and get ready for an exciting adventure!

Remember: the world is your stage, and the sky’s the limit. Literally!

Until next week, my darlings. Remember to dance, shop and explore the vast universe! And don’t forget your tutus!

Your intergalactic ballet queen,

Emma

This Week's Recommendations:

Well, on 7th May 1997 we have some cosmic treats happening:

Venus Retrograde: Venus in retrograde (oh darling, don’t even get me started! It’s the time when love is confused and even the smallest spark can set off a planetary inferno! ) will be affecting our relationships on the earth and maybe even on your favourite galactic station. This is going to cause all sorts of issues, my darlings! We may get unexpected dates from handsome, handsome interstellar sailors or find that we need to learn to love ourselves a bit more (ouch! ) so make sure to indulge yourselves in your favourite fashion buys or take a luxurious ballet trip, my darlings!

May the 4th be With You: (Now why am I mentioning Star Wars? Well I just think the film has some spectacular costumes!) On the 4th of May this week it was ā€˜May the 4th be with you’. This day celebrates everything about that film franchise, my dears! It was an amazing intergalactic escape - full of great costumes (so many wonderful outfits!), cool lightsabers and epic battle scenes. We had fun at the Planet Earth May 4th intergalactic celebration. I can’t lie, I think Darth Vader’s costume was inspired by some ballet costumes! (I think!)

Don’t Miss This! For a fantastic intergalactic experience, try ā€œInterstellar: The Cosmic Balletā€. (It’s at the galactic cinema on 7th May 1997! Go see it, darlings!) This stellar musical spectacular is performed on a custom-built platform and includes a cast of professional cosmic dancers. Be warned – it’s a tear-jerker! The plot will absolutely make you sob with joy! I hear that there’s one part about a beautiful dance under a spectacular red supernova that is an emotional roller coaster! Oh my stars, how I just want to see this for myself!
Shopping Spotlights:

I have to tell you about the latest trends for cosmic ballet in my planet earth blog, darlings:

Glitter is Here To Stay: I saw the most stunning galaxy-print holographic tutus on the galactic runway (yes, the catwalk, darlings, is floating around the whole celestial space now!), and the designs just blew my mind. Seriously, the sparkle and shine are just amazing, but don’t even get me started on how the colours in them seem to come to life. If you don't have at least one cosmic-print tutu, it's a shame. Get out there and find one, darlings!

Sequin Statement: It’s not all about tutus, though! And sequins on our outfits, darlings! The fashion scene has shifted. I recently watched a stunning celestial catwalk show (you’d better believe I was sitting front row) with the most gorgeous shimmering sequin capes – they were actually reflecting starlight. We must never forget the magic of sparkly outfits!

Accessorise your Way to Cosmic Style! Don't forget your accessories. You’ll want to show off a cosmic statement. How about a black-hole choker with some fabulous meteor showers! Don't forget your black holes sunglasses! (It was hot, darlings! Don’t burn your eyes off on the star, they can give you a nasty headache)

Tutu Talk:

I was lucky enough to find a wonderful old, hand-stitched tutu in a dusty attic here on earth that belonged to an ancestor of mine! ( It even had the tag ā€œMade in Derbyshire! Oh the fun memories! It is now back in the Pink Tutu collection! )

It took me weeks to get this beauty cleaned ( and of course a full colour correction!), but I’m just absolutely besotted with it. I think it's vintage in every sense of the word. This tutu represents our dance heritage, the legacy of beauty and grace we continue to build upon as a cosmic community.

However, I can't stand still when I see something lovely - you already know I'm absolutely obsessed with tutu designs! And as part of my cosmic travels, I made sure to check out some amazing tutu shops on the planet Jupiter! They had everything! (You could say, they have everything under the sun) My latest acquisitions are just wonderful. You wouldn't believe it, I found these adorable holographic moon tutus that are simply stunning and a few adorable sparkly rainbow galaxy tutus (so pretty and magical! ) I just know I’ll be showing them off soon at a local ballet show!

Looking Back:

I can’t let a blog post pass by, my dear friends, without me saying I am always on the hunt for amazing ballet dancers to inspire us with their divine moves. My blog is full of posts about the famous ballerinas of this planet: Anna Pavlova, Vaslav Nijinsky and Margot Fonteyn and even the more modern, iconic Micheal Flatley. I love reading their stories about how these lovely souls created the amazing art form we love so much. However, the one that continues to amaze me is Dame Margot Fonteyn, this incredible ballerina, oh I just adore her so much! She danced through some really hard times but kept pushing ahead – true grit and grace.

Oh my, darlings. It is simply unbelievable that this amazing dancing style, that just lifts you out of this world, comes from planet earth. A legacy of cosmic grace, beauty and expression that transcends any galaxy we have ever discovered! And remember darlings: even if you're not an expert dancer or haven't seen a live show (what are you waiting for, darlings?) I hope that my blog makes you realize: Ballet and cosmic travel aren't as inaccessible as they seem. Get out there and be amazed!

See you next week darlings! Remember, don’t be afraid to twirl!

Love always, Emma.
