Hello darlings! It's your favourite tutu-wearing, space-travelling blogger, Emma, here, and I'm back on planet Earth!
Space travel gets a little tutu-ed!
You know I love a good celestial adventure, and my latest trip was simply divine. It's hard to top a sparkly pink tutu on the spaceship, but when I got to Planet Earth... oh, the delights!
After spending weeks gazing at distant nebulae in all shades of pink and peach (my absolute faves!), there was something exhilarating about landing back in the familiar blue of our dear home planet. The air was crisp, the scent of freshly cut grass wafted in, and oh, the sheer abundance of flowers! Earth has the best floristry.
I always love returning to Derbyshire, that's my home ground you see, and I had to catch up with some of my old friends from the local ballet studio. We had the most glorious time sipping tea in the tea room, reminiscing about our old lessons and, of course, trying on a few of the latest tutus they'd bought.
You see, my darlings, this isn't just a blog about space travel. It's about celebrating everything that is beautiful and fabulous. And you just can't not mention tutus!
Let's talk ballet!
This time in Derbyshire was all about ballet (no surprise there!). I saw a fantastic production of Swan Lake at the Royal Opera House - my heart nearly burst from all the emotion! I can't even describe the gorgeousness. You had swans and princes, intricate sets, dazzling costumes, and those moves, those moves, darling! It was a pure joy.
But what really got me thinking were the little girls who were attending their very first ballet show. Their eyes were wide, their faces full of wonder, their dresses as twirly as their dreams. I thought, "You know what? This is what it's all about." To see the light in their eyes as the magic unfolded on stage, to see the spark of passion ignite โ that's truly something special.
Later in the week, I went back to the studio and taught a class with the older girls. They were all so eager, so ready to embrace the beauty of movement and artistry. And their enthusiasm, it reminded me why I became a ballet blogger in the first place. I want to share this passion, to help spread the magic of ballet to every corner of the universe. Pink tutus on every planet, I say! It's definitely my ultimate dream.
Today's must-haves
My darling, for this blog I'm featuring my new outfit that perfectly matched the "Swan Lake" feel. It was my new vintage white tulle skirt with tiny little silver sequins (my go-to ballet outfit is never complete without some glitz!) and my bright pink tulle bolero. This little outfit is made for pirouettes, but also totally great for walking down the space shuttle steps when I arrived back on Planet Earth. It's all about feeling elegant and a little bit whimsical. Don't you think?
This Saturday, I'm off to Paris for Fashion Week. I can't wait to see what the latest couture creations have to offer! Maybe some Parisian designers are already inspired by the cosmos, and there might be some pink tulle to be seen! Keep an eye on my blog - I'll be updating with all the latest, fabulous trends!
But in the meantime, my dears, never stop twirling, never stop dreaming, and always remember that the most important thing is to embrace your inner sparkle, no matter what galaxy you inhabit!
Stay twirly!

P.S. What were YOU doing on September 9th, 1998? Did you happen to see the Swan Lake performance in London? Share your stories in the comments!
Extra! Extra! (You might be wondering about September 9th, 1998...)
September 9th, 1998, was a very special day, and not just because I was busy exploring Planet Earth! On that date, a remarkable event took place โ Google was officially founded! Yes, you heard me right, the very same company that keeps your search engines going, that connects you to information and knowledge, and lets you watch cute kitten videos until 3 AM (no judgment here!) was officially established on September 9th, 1998. Talk about a big birthday for an important company!
Isn't it interesting how history interweaves with our lives? Imagine how much the world has changed in those 25 years. Just think, back then, a few forward-thinking visionaries started a business based on sharing knowledge with the world. Can you believe it?! Now, their invention connects billions of people around the globe, fostering learning, creativity, and, dare I say, even a touch of tutu-inspired glamour!
Just shows you, anything is possible with a good dose of optimism and creativity. So why not give the world a little twirl of your own?
Emma xoxo
