Hello my lovely tutu-fied darlings! It's your favourite pink-loving ballerina blogger, Emma, here with a brand-new post just for you! This week, I'm whisking you all away to the most magical journey yet. Get your cosmic capes and sparkly ballet shoes ready, because we're heading for a galactic adventure like no other!
This past Wednesday (yes, I know it's technically Thursday now, but I was jet-lagged from travelling across the cosmos) I touched down on Planet Earth! 🌍 Now, you're probably thinking "Emma, you live on Planet Earth! What's so exciting?" Well, I may call Derbyshire, England my home base, but even this ballerina needs a holiday sometimes! It's been ages since I've properly indulged in Earthly delights, and let's face it, sometimes there's just nothing better than a good old-fashioned, Earth-based dose of tutu-rific fun.
So, before I jump into all the dazzling details of my planetary explorations, let's do a quick rewind, shall we? After all, it wouldn't be a proper Pink Tutu World post without a little trip down memory lane (or, shall we say, a cosmic wormhole?!) 🌌
A Whirlwind of Memories: Back to the Ballet!
Last week was a complete whirlwind of colour, movement, and magic, all thanks to a spectacular ballet tour in the Andromeda Galaxy. The performance was "Swan Lake," but it had a totally unique twist! Instead of just the regular swan-on-water action, the whole thing was a celestial spectacle. Imagine swirling constellations, shooting stars, and planets changing colours to reflect the story! Talk about breathtaking, darlings. Oh, and let's not forget about the costumes! Every dancer wore a custom-designed tutu - each one reflecting a different celestial body. I absolutely adored the moon tutu - the detail was exquisite, and I simply had to add it to my collection. You can be sure I'll be sharing some stellar photos in my next Instagram post!
Back on Planet Earth - Shopping & Sightseeing
Okay, back to Earth! My main mission for this trip was to stock up on more pink tutus. I mean, a ballerina can never have enough, right?! The planet's shops were absolutely bursting with so many styles! From classic to contemporary, shimmery to feathered, fluffy to flat – you name it, I tried it! Honestly, it's just too much to explain – my heart went a-flutter with pure excitement. I spent the whole day at London’s West End. I have a huge love of theatre. Even the bus journey had some very colourful vintage style poster advertising coming to theatre in a couple of weeks time in London. A musical play about a ballet dancing robot with tutus with a touch of “Frankenstein” 🩰 🤖 This is just up my street. I ended up buying several, so be on the lookout for them on my next post. Just you wait!
While I was at it, I had to soak in the city vibes. Did I ever tell you how much I love shopping and window shopping?! You won't believe what a stunning new collection of neon-coloured, metallic tutus I spotted at a London shop. Sadly, I didn’t get the chance to snap them up (the wait times were crazy!) but trust me, you guys are going to hear all about them soon. 🤫
The Date, Darling - January 20th 1999!
You're all dying to know what date my planetary travels brought me to, right?! Well, brace yourselves for pure magical mayhem, my lovelies - it's January 20th, 1999! Talk about stepping into a cosmic kaleidoscope of pink and fun. There's something totally magical about this particular date. 💫
Remember, my dearies, all those memories are just the beginning. I have so much more to tell you about my travels. More importantly, I must share my top secret plans on how you can get your very own Pink Tutu Galaxy right in your own backyard! Keep an eye out for my next post, as it's full of exciting adventures and inspiring ideas.
Until next Wednesday, stay fabulously pink and keep your dance shoes polished!
P.S - I promise you, I’ll try my best to avoid all the “space aliens stealing tutus” rumors! 🤫 Maybe…next week…
