Hello, darlings! Welcome back to Pink Tutu World! I'm Emma, your resident cosmic ballerina, and it's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new post from Planet Earth! Isn't it fabulous to be back on our own little celestial gem? The atmosphere feels positively sparkling, and the skies are clear enough for my spaceship to have a perfectly smooth landing, which is always a bonus after travelling through a galactic dust cloud (the last one had an alarming number of space pickles - who throws those, anyway?!).
Anyway, enough about intergalactic woes! Let's get to the good stuff! I'm back on Earth, and I'm ready to take on the planet in my favourite shade of pink - can you guess? 😉 It's a pink tutu extravaganza, obviously! I've got my itinerary jam-packed with all things ballet, beauty, and fabulous fashion - and of course, there will be an abundance of pink, pink, pink!
A Dashing Debut!
Speaking of pink and ballet, did you know that October 27th is National Ballet Day? Oh, how I love a good celebratory dance! To honour this momentous occasion, I popped into the Royal Opera House for their gorgeous performance of "Swan Lake". The whole thing was truly divine, the dancers graceful and fluid, the sets simply stunning! My darling, imagine the scene, the stage bathed in an ethereal glow, and then, bam! The ballerinas emerged, draped in the most spectacular swan costumes (think delicate feather accents and sheer silk, of course). You should have seen the way those tutus twirled, like little wisps of moonlight dancing!
Ballet and Beyond
It's a shame, darling, but you simply can't get enough of ballet, even if you do live your life as a ballerina on the move! There are some things you just have to do when you’re back on Earth.
Firstly, you must pop into your favourite local ballet studio, even if it’s in the quaint Derbyshire village where I spent my childhood - there's no other place like home! And the studios near home always stock those gorgeous tutu skirts and silky leotards in a delicious range of pink, darling. Who wouldn’t be happy there? It's such a delight to feel the wooden floor beneath my pointe shoes, and smell that heavenly combination of sweat and lavender lotion... Oh, those memories are just too special!
Fashion Flash
This week's shopping extravaganza involved exploring the latest ballet-inspired designs! There's so much fantastic pink-tastic attire available right now, darling. Think pastel tulle overlays on luxurious silk dresses, whimsical ballet-inspired earrings, even sneakers with sparkly ballet shoe embellishments!
Speaking of fashion, I have a confession: I am, to put it mildly, obsessed with those gorgeous ballet flat shoes. Oh my goodness, the craftsmanship, the details! Some of those ballerina slippers, with all their hand-stitching and embroidery, they’re practically art! It’s little wonder they can be ridiculously expensive! However, my friends at the local boutique told me about a website that offers amazing deals on vintage and handmade ballerina shoes (you can even find them in pink, darling! 🤫). Oh, I’m definitely adding a few pairs to my spaceship's wardrobe!
Back in the Saddle
Right now, I’m feeling supremely inspired, and my celestial compass is pointed straight towards a new planet to explore! I can't share all the details with you, my dear friends, just yet - I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise! It's safe to say that my pink tutu will be put through its paces in more than a few stellar events – just imagine, my friends, dancing in the starlight!
It's time for me to catch my next flight, darlings, and I hope to see you back here in a week's time! Please do tell me, in the comments section below, where your favourite places for ballet shopping are - the more pink the better! Until next Wednesday, don't forget to dance your heart out and embrace the pink life, because everything's perfectly pink in Pink Tutu World! 💕

The Backstage Scoop: A Pink-Filled Adventure! In case you thought that my planetary adventures ended with my space shuttle landing, think again, my dearest followers! My time back on Earth this week was a whirlwind of activity, pink dresses, and plenty of ooh-la-la moments.
Let me start with a juicy tidbit - my trip back to the good old shire wasn't all darling quaint village delights (although, my darling, I am obsessed with those quaint Derbyshire village delights!) Yes, it included a lovely trip back to see my parents - but there’s a good reason why my family couldn’t possibly understand how much a pink tutu enthusiast can ever truly miss their little, rural village…
They had absolutely no idea I had booked a surprise trip with my best pal, Penny, back to London! I know what you’re thinking… what could be more delightful than a trip back to the city of lights, shopping sprees at Bond Street, and tea time in Covent Garden? Oh my goodness, the answer is nothing! I always get into the pinkest mischief with Penny.
That’s right, dear friends, *London was the destination for a few glorious days of exploring, with a touch of ballet, a hint of vintage fashion and oh yes, enough pink to turn the whole city bubblegum.
This week, you might see an absolutely gorgeous pink ballerina top that I picked up at an incredible vintage store (a totally pink boutique nestled amongst the quaint streets near Covent Garden), you can totally thank Penny for the inspiration for that one.
More Fashion and Frivolity
First off, you should have seen Penny, absolutely decked out in a darling little dress made of bright pink silk and lace. You know it wasn't going to stay in my bag for very long, we popped into the first boutique we could find, bought some absolutely spectacular accessories (we're totally talking more pink tutus and sparkly ballet shoes), and voila - we were ready for our first day exploring London's vintage treasures.
Our journey, naturally, started with a visit to the fabulous Vivienne Westwood Boutique, darling. Did you know that the original Vivienne Westwood is practically an old ballet shoe collector? My favourite boutique manager tells me that she has been known to even swap rare, hand-made tutus with very famous collectors just to acquire a vintage pair of those precious ballerina slippers - can you believe it?! Well, if she loves those ballerina shoes so much, I think that's more than enough justification for me to start a little pink collection!
Speaking of ballerina shoes, this little boutique has been the most fabulous place to start my search, for vintage pink treasures naturally. I picked up the cutest pink ballet flats in a lovely vintage shade of petal pink, (they had such a darling little vintage boutique tucked away near Piccadilly, just next to a few charming little bakeries), and my personal favourite, an irresistibly glamorous pair of shimmering hot pink shoes from the 1950s! If only those little heels could talk, I bet they would have stories about some of the most spectacular balls, my dearest friends, just imagine!
[This week's ballet adventures: "I think I love vintage ballerina shoes. It seems so glamorous."]
And you can too! If you want to take *pink and ballet to a whole new level, join me at the Ballet and Fashion: A Cosmic Ballet Experience show - that’s my newest show for everyone! I can teach you all the very best ways to get to the perfect vintage style, especially when you can find ballet shoes in a rainbow of colours! Check out my latest schedule on pink-tutu.com for all my show information. **
To Be Continued…
Now, you know I’ve had to keep you waiting long enough - how could I not give you the rest of the inside scoop from London? Oh, darling, where to even begin? How about an absolutely lovely tea party with some fabulous ladies - you just have to see those photos. And of course, there's the inside story about my first encounter with an absolutely delightful designer - and yes, he absolutely did agree to let me design a special ballet collection using only my favourite colour…
Well, you'll have to wait for next Wednesday, my dears. Until then, make sure you grab that delicious pink cocktail or tea, and enjoy the next week, dancing away in the most fabulous pink tutu you can find. And do tell me about your own personal ballet inspirations - they make my day. Until then, make sure that your life is a fabulous mix of colour and elegance, always, especially when it comes to pink! 💕
