Welcome back, lovelies!
It's Wednesday, the day you all know what that means... a brand new Pink Tutu World post! Grab your fanciest teacup and settle in for a thrilling trip through the cosmos with me, your intergalactic ballerina extraordinaire. This week, I'm bursting with excitement because guess what? We're back on Planet Earth!
The stars are sparkling, the lights are twinkling, and I'm getting ready to twirl my way across London! It's always such a delight to be back on this little blue planet, and it feels especially magical after a week spent zipping through the vast unknown. I wouldn't trade those space adventures for anything - especially the stellar views from my spaceship, which is absolutely bursting with glitter, neon pinks, and all the fabulous things you'd expect from a pink tutu-clad cosmic voyager.
Speaking of pinks, oh my darling darlings, you'll never believe what I found in my spaceship luggage: A beautiful new tutu in the most heavenly shade of coral pink! I think it's even prettier than my classic Barbie pink tutu. It's going to look divine when I perform my special ballet routine for all of you tonight.
Speaking of performing, I know you love a good back-story, so I'm about to give you a juicy dose of 'Emma's-fabulous-adventures'. Last week, I had a magical gig on a tiny moon orbiting a giant, gas planet called Jupiter, known for its swirling storms and beautiful, colourful sunsets. They loved me there! Even though they weren't very familiar with Earth ballet, they were totally captivated by my graceful leaps and pirouettes, especially when I donned my specially designed 'outer-space' tutu - you know, the one with the constellations twinkling all over it? I did three performances every night to packed houses, and I even managed to snag a new spaceship outfit – all shimmery gold, think space princess, only way more dazzling! You just wait, I'll post a pic of it next week.
And don't even get me started on the outfits I picked up in Jupiter's main shopping hub. It's a bit like London's Covent Garden, except much, much bigger! Imagine an entire space station devoted to glittery jumpsuits, feathered boas, cosmic tutus, and everything imaginable, with a bit of extra space magic sprinkled on top - that was it!
After Jupiter, I decided to whisk myself off to Venus for a spot of celestial sunbathing. I just adore the golden glow of the setting sun on Venus. It really makes the pink tutu I was wearing (my most vibrant one with the extra fluffy, rainbow-hued pom-poms - it was an absolute winner, even for a planetary queen like me) pop like crazy! Oh, darling, it was fabulous!
Then, back to Earth! I arrived a little bit later than planned, thanks to a little detour to Alpha Centauri - they were having a pretty grand ballet competition. Naturally, I had to pop in and show them how it’s done. They loved the bit where I danced on top of my suitcase – a vintage, cherry red Louis Vuitton - you know, the classic model? I always tell the boys to stay away from my favourite luggage. I mean, I'm not the only one on board that likes a little luxury! But back to my ballet performance. Well, I totally rocked it, of course! Even beat the Alien Ballet Queen - a truly terrifyingly-dressed diva, by the way – she always has those huge purple eyelashes.
But here we are, back on good ol' planet Earth and, guess what? This week is extra-special! Not only do I have a thrilling ballet show in London's West End – and don’t you worry, darlings, you can catch me swirling in the heart of the Theatre District at 7 pm this evening! – I also have some very exciting news!
I am officially launching the first ever Pink Tutu Tour, a travelling performance that celebrates everything about pink tutus! I'm kicking off with a massive show at the Derbyshire Performing Arts Centre on Friday, a place so special to my heart! As a proper Derbyshire girl, it wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t bring my little pink magic to where it all began for me, you see. My dream has always been to inspire girls, women, and even boys – yes, you heard right, darling! - to embrace their love of tutus, their love of pink and dance with the joy and grace of a ballerina, all while spreading positivity throughout the galaxy!
Now, you may be asking yourself, why the sudden focus on pink tutus, darling? Why the tour? And where on Earth can a ballerina find the time for all these planet-hopping adventures? Well, I am delighted to say, the reason is simple, really. The Universe is begging for it, sweetheart.
It’s no secret – I just know you feel it too! – that our world needs a healthy dose of pink!
That gorgeous bubblegum shade has been so unjustly vilified, darling, it’s truly sad.
I remember the moment that I fell head over heels for this exquisite color, darling! I was a sweet little ballerina – you know, with big dreams and an even bigger heart – just a mere ten years old! Back then, my life revolved around our Derbyshire Dance School and, in my mind, ballet was just one of the greatest things that had ever been invented – so graceful, so expressive! And the ballet teachers, always with such elegant buns! You’re never too young, darling, to find yourself a good hair bun inspiration!
Anyway, where was I? Ah yes. It was just after a special, annual Christmas ballet at our school, with a theme of 'The Snow Queen'. Remember her, the beautiful one who had lost her magical ice mirror and her sweet-heart? Well, the teachers had to pull together, darling, as last minute as always, because, naturally, all the girls just HAD to have pink tutus, naturally. And mine was divine, you wouldn't believe it. A gorgeous pastel pink, absolutely stunning! It wasn't long before every girl in Derbyshire was talking about how lovely it was and demanding their own, but, darlings, a perfect tutu is an investment. A classic tutu is a lifetime's commitment and I knew that mine would take me far beyond Derbyshire! And this was just the beginning of a lifetime affair with this divine colour, the magic pink! I even convinced my mom that the only possible pink colour for my first real ballet shoes was the beautiful, shocking pink – you can’t miss them, my darlings.
You see, it was my first true tutu moment!
Of course, we couldn’t afford the perfect tutu, which meant we’d had to have a real budget tutu, all sparkly and with some fabulous beads to boot, you know the sort, a true ballerina princess classic! But darling, when you have that passion for something, especially pink and ballet, then everything is possible, you just have to make it happen. And for a sweet, young ballerina, this little tutu wasn't just the best ballet garment - although I did say it was fabulous back then, and it absolutely was – but it was an experience. Every time I danced, it was like my feet took flight, soaring high above the stage. You see, it is always the small things that can take us so high, especially when we truly believe in them, and even more so, if they're pink. That’s a real cosmic truth, sweetheart, and let me tell you, it has never let me down, especially when I wear my very special ballet shoe boots!
It's true. The pink tutu and the little ballerinas inside me had a kind of mystical connection, darling, like we were all one. I am eternally grateful to that tutu and for what it taught me.
But what if this magic pink can unite everyone and everything in the galaxy, in a big, pink tutu celebration, darlings? Imagine it!
The Pink Tutu Tour is going to be incredible! I'm bringing my very best, my very fanciest ballet moves to every town, planet, moon – yes, you heard me correctly darling, every moon I visit, from here on in, shall get a little pink tutu action, you have my word on it! – all to spread the love, laughter, and glittery magic of the pink tutu!
So, prepare yourselves for the biggest, most sparkly pink tutu celebration in the history of the universe, because we're bringing the pink tutu revolution to your local celestial neighbour, planet, or solar system, darlings, and it’s going to be amazing!
The show will feature an exclusive performance – no spoilers darlings, but it will feature an all-new space tutu inspired by Jupiter – yes, the big one, with the lovely red storms! – followed by an all-star cast of dancing superstars. Think big pink ballerinas, a pink tutu ballet, pink sparkles, pink feathers, and even some very special pink surprises!
Pink Tutu Tour: This will be a global (or should I say galactic, darling?) experience, with live performances, exclusive fashion shows, even dance workshops where you can get up and twirl to your heart’s content. Oh, and if that’s not enough for you – but why would it be? – we'll also be sharing the Pink Tutu Love on social media and the wonderful Pink-Tutu.com. It's a tutu-filled fiesta, darling, and you’re invited!
You’ve got to get your tickets early because they are selling fast! Don’t worry though, there’ll be more shows on Planet Earth and loads of performances across the galaxy!

Yep, a grand space wedding is on the cards. It’s all a bit hush-hush for now, darling, I'll spill the deets next week. And yes, naturally, I am wearing a tutu, the pinkest of pink tutus, and this time, I even found matching ones for my bridesmaids! Oh, I do love my brides maids, especially when they have good taste, like mine, that’s for sure!
