Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-clad ballerina, Emma, back from another intergalactic adventure! It feels so good to be back on Planet Earth, even if just for a little while. I must confess, though, the thought of my flatmate's cat greeting me at the door always does make coming back home a little less…sparkling. Honestly, the cat looks at me like I've been eating his biscuits, and he isn't even a vegan! The cheek!
This week, however, I have something absolutely divine to share with you all. Imagine this: you’re floating through the galaxy, looking fabulous in your signature pink tutu, and BAM! You land on a planet entirely devoted to… ballet! Yes, you heard me right, a whole world dedicated to pirouettes, pliés, and all things tutu. It was absolutely sensational. I don't think my heart has ever recovered from the sheer number of tutus, oh my, it was almost overwhelming!
The people here, well, they're even more passionate about ballet than I am (and that's saying something!). They told me about this glorious ballet legend, a truly inspirational woman named Marie - she's basically their celestial prima ballerina! Turns out, she arrived on this planet from another galaxy long, long ago, bringing with her a magic, a kind of cosmic ballet dust that sparked the planet's eternal love affair with this art form. Talk about making a statement, huh? I'm sure, in the future, my Pink Tutu movement will have a similar effect on the entire universe. One step at a time though!
Oh, and did I mention the food? A ballet-inspired, gourmet pink-tinged spread with heavenly sweet treats – think strawberry tarts shaped like ballerina slippers and champagne cocktails laced with shimmering pearlescent flakes. Oh, my… The only problem is I couldn’t even come close to finishing everything they put in front of me. It's not everyday one gets the chance to indulge like that, now is it? And let’s just say my spaceship is rather heavy thanks to my overzealous appetite and all that beautiful pink packaging the treats came in! I need to stop adding things to my 'future Pink Tutu shop' ideas list – that collection of pastel delights just added about a dozen items… who am I kidding, they’ve always been there, I've just had time to reflect now!
But enough about me! Speaking of indulgence, how are you all doing back on Earth? You must be utterly swamped with Valentine’s Day planning. You know what? You should forget about the chocolates and flowers and take a break, ladies. What better way to celebrate than with a gorgeous, full-length tutu in your favourite shade of pink? Just imagine the looks you'll get twirling down the street with your beau! Don’t even worry about your Valentine’s plans if they don’t get it, because believe me, they’re definitely not up to par with the universe! I may be in the 'pink tutu world' now, but trust me, the whole galaxy can’t stop talking about tutus, and it won’t for years to come, no matter what you say! It’s true, if you listen really, really closely… tut tut tut tut you can even hear it too.
I’m in London this week and, what do you know, it's Valentine’s Day today, 14th February! How absolutely delightful to be back in a world obsessed with romantic affairs and… tutus of course! My mission today is simple - hit up the vintage shops to find some fabulous, fabulous outfits for my upcoming show this weekend at The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, and treat myself to something ridiculously pretty – I have a penchant for hats! Don’t worry, darling, I’m sure to share everything I find, complete with detailed descriptions of everything – that way you won't be left in the dark wondering where to get those beautiful pink tutus for your next outing.
Speaking of outfits, darling, remember how I mentioned that my space travel is all self-funded? That's because this little pink ballerina doesn't let anyone else do the hard work. My travel money comes directly from my show earnings – so, if you love what I do, spread the word, tell everyone you know! A sold out show allows me to fly across the cosmos and share these extraordinary stories with you, my lovely followers, all across the globe.
Now, off I go, time to start planning the next galactic voyage! My next destination is shrouded in mystery (shh… it’s top secret) but I'm already planning the pink tutu outfits for the event. You know me, it’s all in the details, darling, the more glitz, the more glam, the better!
Stay tuned, I have a feeling this is just the beginning… Stay pink!
