Pink Tutu World Blog Post #346: Ballet on Planet Earth! šŸ©°šŸŒ

Hello darlings!

It’s Wednesday, so that means it’s time for another Pink Tutu World blog post! And guess what? Today’s post is all about my latest adventure… back on Planet Earth! Yes, you read that right! After weeks of exploring the colourful galaxies, I’ve found myself back on home turf. Don't get me wrong, I've been absolutely loving all the celestial stardust and interstellar shopping sprees, but there's nothing quite like a good ol' fashioned trip to the ballet in good ol' Derbyshire, England, my birthplace! šŸ’–

I know, I know, I say it all the time, but I can’t get enough of my tutus. I actually found myself missing my massive collection while exploring the cosmos! Don't judge, darling! A girl's gotta have her tulle, especially when it's pink and sparkly! ✨

So, on this Earthly jaunt, I knew I had to do something very special. It’s December 12th, and today marks a date that's pretty momentous for me, at least. Why? Because this is the day I finally finished writing and performing a ballet called ā€˜Cosmic Swirl’ about my cosmic travels!

Now, I’m a firm believer in celebrating everything. So naturally, I’m throwing a Pink Tutu Extravaganza to commemorate the event, starting with a big ol' "Tutu Tea Party" at the Derbyshire Dance Centre. Expect mountains of pink cupcakes, mountains of tea, and mountains of glitter! We'll be watching my dance film "Cosmic Swirl," followed by a good old-fashioned tutu parade. Think fabulous frills, glorious gowns, and everything in between. Of course, all are invited! It’s a "pink tutus for everyone" policy, darling!

And to top it all off, I’m going to take a class in the very room where I took my very first dance lesson – how cute is that?! 🩰 I’m expecting it’ll bring back a few childhood memories, and, let’s be honest, it's just an excuse to spin, twirl, and feel the joy of ballet.

But my Pink Tutu Extravaganza doesn’t stop there! I've got some super exciting plans in the pipeline:

  • A Pink Tutu pop-up shop! It’s been way too long since I've shopped on Earth, and my closet has got a serious pink tutu deficiency. So, I’m hitting the shops, grabbing every last scrap of pink tulle and sequin, and setting up my own pink tutu paradise. Imagine if you will, all shades of pink, from soft bubblegum to shocking magenta, all expertly assembled into fabulous tutus, designed by none other than your humble pink tutu blogger, Emma! This is a rare chance for all you ballet bunnies on planet Earth to add a bit of celestial sparkle to your dance wear!

  • A tour of the Royal Opera House! Who could say no to a backstage tour of the world's most famous ballet theatre?! Well, I'm not about to say no! I'm going to delve into the world of grand ballet performances, explore the history of this glorious institution, and see what's happening behind the scenes! (Maybe there’ll even be a few extra pink tutus lying around, and if there are, well... šŸ˜‰).

  • And finally, to cap it all off: a visit to a brand-new ballet school in Nottingham, where I’m planning to inspire the next generation of ballet dancers! Who knows, perhaps my talk might inspire a few young ballerinas to take on the cosmos and explore the galaxy in a pink tutu – now wouldn’t that be something?!

You might be thinking, ā€œEmma, how on Earth are you affording all of this?ā€ Well, darling, it's no secret – ballet has a way of funding its own adventures. In case you’ve missed my past few posts, I’ve been taking my passion for ballet all across the galaxy, giving performances here, there, and everywhere, to pay for my extravagant lifestyle and, you know, spreading the gospel of pink tutus.

So, now that I’ve gotten my planet Earth fix, it’s time to prepare for my next cosmic jaunt. I’m jetting off to the vibrant city of Neosol on Planet Zarya next week. I hear it has amazing shopping and even better nightlife! And don’t even get me started on their ballet scene. If you have any suggestions for things to do on Zarya, please feel free to send me a message via the www.pink-tutu.com website. You’ll find the form right underneath this blog post, which you’re currently reading, darling! (Just so you know, this post is number 346 on the planet earth blog. I also post a new blog post once a week on Wednesday! Keep your eyes peeled for post 347!).

Until next week, stay fabulous and always remember…

… Pink is the new black!

Xoxo,

Emma

Fashion Focus: Pink Tutu for Planet Earth ✨

Let’s be real, a ballerina’s wardrobe just isn't complete without a planet-appropriate pink tutu, so naturally, my new Earth wardrobe has got a fabulous new pink tutu on full display.

But why this particular tutu?

  • Tulle: We're talking luxurious, cloud-like tulle, so soft you could wear it for hours on end. Think a graceful cloud of pink loveliness!
  • Satin: A shimmering satin waistband adds a touch of opulence and polish, and it contrasts beautifully with the softness of the tulle. It's like a perfect embrace of delicate and luxurious!
  • Embellishment: No tutu is complete without a bit of sparkle, right?! I've opted for a scattered dusting of pink sequins on the bottom hemline, just enough to add a playful touch of sparkle with every pirouette!

This little gem is going to be perfect for my Earth-based adventures. It's feminine, elegant, and oh-so-fabulous.

Ballet Bits: Cosmic Swirl ✨

In this ballet, you can join me on my cosmic adventure through the vast expanse of the universe. Imagine dancing galaxies, ethereal light shows, and breathtaking nebulas. And did I mention it's got plenty of sparkly pink tutus in it? ✨

Let's explore a little further into what makes ā€œCosmic Swirlā€ so special!

  • The Music: You might expect this dance to be scored with some futuristic, synth-y electronica. Wrong! It’s actually a blend of classical ballet with the kind of enchanting cello, violin, and piano music that often accompanies classical space movies like Space Odyssey. This music beautifully reflects the grandeur of the cosmos and evokes a sense of mystery, a key element in ā€œCosmic Swirl.ā€

  • The Dance Choreography: My choreography blends ballet tradition with more contemporary forms of dance to really convey the unique feeling of flying through the cosmos. There's even a lot of partner work with the stellar space creatures who've become my companions, as well as solo sections that really allow me to express the thrill of seeing the universe in all its beauty.

  • Costumes: Where else are we going to talk about costumes? In case you haven't been paying attention, all my dancing, on Earth or in space, is always in pink! This ballet is no different. "Cosmic Swirlā€ is like a celebration of pink tulle. It's all about big, puffy, vibrant pink tutus and gowns.

  • The Message: I'm a big believer in spreading kindness, love, and joy everywhere I go. And ā€œCosmic Swirlā€ reflects this message. This ballet tells a story of adventure and discovery. You'll see themes of inclusivity, kindness, and joy, because that’s what I see every time I’m out in the universe!

If you haven't had a chance to see my ā€œCosmic Swirlā€ performance, I'm posting a behind-the-scenes snippet from the show on my Instagram story tonight! Catch the link on my blog and check out some of the stellar moments!

From my tutu closet to yours:
