Hello my darlings! Welcome back to Pink Tutu World! It's Wednesday, so you know what that means – another fabulous blog post, filled with all things pink, fluffy, and utterly delightful. And let's be honest, this week has been an absolute whirlwind of glitter and grace!
I'm back on Planet Earth after my latest galactic adventure. Yes, that's right, darling, yours truly, Emma, your very own tutu-wearing intergalactic travel blogger, has been busy gallivanting across the cosmos, spreading the message of pink and tutus, one stellar hop at a time.
But first, a quick hello from my lovely home here in Derbyshire, England. The air is crisp, the sun is shining, and the birds are singing – all of which are wonderful things to inspire the creative spark, even more so when you're preparing for a busy day of rehearsals. As always, you know my Wednesday mornings are dedicated to refining my own pirouettes, and getting the choreography just perfect for my upcoming show at the Royal Albert Hall. You wouldn't believe the tutus I've been whipping up! Think sequined swans, feathered flamingoes, and glittering gold – all custom-designed, of course, because a Pink Tutu World ballerina never settles for anything less than pure fabulousness.
Now, before I delve into the enchanting details of my cosmic escapade, let's catch up with a little bit of Planet Earth fashion. It's no secret that London is my favourite city for fashion, darling! And you know, I just have to mention the extraordinary vintage fashion exhibit that I recently visited. The clothes on display were simply breath-taking, like a symphony of colour, fabrics, and, of course, tulle! I was practically in a tutu trance as I admired each exquisite gown and elaborate hat.
Ah, speaking of hats… let me tell you, my latest obsession is anything vintage and feathery. Feathers! Those majestic little plumes, I simply can’t get enough of them. And speaking of the colour pink, don't get me started on the amazing pink and white hats! If there were more feathers, well, you know me - it would be a total outfit win for me. It's such a joyous colour - it’s truly a shade of sunshine and sugar spun sweetness!
And on that delightful note, it's time I tell you about my adventures.
I whisked myself off to Planet Avani for this latest galactic escapade, which was actually quite interesting. It’s in a slightly less glamorous galaxy, just across the Andromeda nebula from our own Milky Way. I'm learning to be much more careful about travel now as it has happened a few times I have travelled a long way and there wasn’t even a ballet show! Anyway, they are quite passionate about their ballet traditions on Planet Avani. You wouldn't believe their style, it's very... organic. Lots of leafy patterns, and surprisingly few sequins. I made it my mission, of course, to add a touch of sparkle to their productions! You should have seen their faces when I walked in, sporting my very own custom-made, pink tutu, that shimmered under their slightly less vibrant, double sunset, lighting! Their entire perception of fashion completely shifted. They didn’t need persuading! After the show, they were rushing me into their fabulous costumes departments, where they have to wear elaborate feathered outfits that completely hide their lovely pink outfits, even if their pink was a very deep crimson – more on colour next week! - I persuaded them, after hours of persuasive argument and ballet, to have an optional pink tutu day for all their ballet performances! Now I know that even though I didn’t convince them to abandon their customs entirely, we can find some shared common ground and, as they said to me before they said goodbye “Avani has learnt the language of elegance through the ballet and tutus”. Well that’s just lovely, don’t you think?
As usual, my trip back was as exciting as my voyage. I was lucky enough to grab a ride with the space fleet returning to earth after a diplomatic mission to a particularly hostile planet in a far, far away galaxy.
Did you know, in 2005 they opened up another galaxy in the Orion arm to tourist travel? I just got the time in to go - next week, maybe. The whole planet is devoted to dancing and ballet in a fashion and with a tradition completely different to the usual styles – it’s so far away, but I’ve heard it’s an adventure that I just have to try for myself!
In any event, I always have a fun story to tell, whether I’m on earth or dancing on other planets - after all, what's better than a bit of star dust in your tutu, right? You've got to embrace life, ladies, dance your way through it, and most importantly, spread some glitter wherever you go! That's what I've learned from this fabulous adventure. And you can, too, darling. Just put on your favourite pink tutu, and dance your way through life, one pirouette at a time!
Now, I have to go, but remember to check back next Wednesday for more exciting tales from the life of your pink tutu-loving blogger. Until then, be sure to keep twirling and smiling – and most importantly, stay fabulous!
Love, Emma xxx
A Look Back on July 20th 2005!
This is really a date I want to share with you all – because, ladies, something fabulous happened! Not only did we reach a historic 1 million visits on the Pink Tutu World website – something I couldn’t even imagine - on this date I actually got to have my name mentioned in the news. On 20th July, the Derby Telegraph actually featured Pink Tutu World as an excellent website with lots of tips for our future generation on keeping ballet alive – so exciting and also something quite momentous. You know how much I love sharing this crazy dream of mine with others and sharing that it’s possible! And a nice big thank you to them for giving my own little website a nice mention in their article!
I really love this planet. And if you didn't get enough pink in today’s blog, you can check out my very own, custom-designed pink tutu dress collection - I have new stock and colours and will post a blog soon with all the details - my last post of the summer season! You won't regret checking it out.
Lots of Love Emma
