Pink Tutu World: Ballet on Planet Earth, #689

Hello my darling dears, and welcome back to Pink Tutu World!

It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for another fabulous blog post from yours truly! As you know, I love ballet, tutus and travel, so when I get the chance to combine all three… well, it’s just the best, lovelies!

This week, we're venturing right back down to ol' Planet Earth for a little Earthly ballet fun, something I don’t do very often now that I’m galavanting all over the galaxy, but let me tell you, I missed it terribly. This week was an extra special trip as it was also the anniversary of one of my favourite ballet events.

But first, darling, let’s have a catch-up, because you’ll not believe what’s been going on since last week’s post!

Right, where to begin? Firstly, let me tell you, I've just had the most glamorous time! A new fashion show in the Andromeda Galaxy – and did I mention it was completely inspired by tutus? Imagine – sequined starships, celestial-themed tutus with shimmering fabric trails… Absolutely exquisite! It was definitely the highlight of my week.

I did, of course, have to pick up a few new things for my ever-growing collection of tutus. And can I just say? My favourite purchase was a luminous lavender-tutu, with an intricately beaded belt and trailing wings… So gorgeous! And you won't believe who I bumped into… a legendary fashion icon! She said my outfit was "just utterly smashing"! My darling, I nearly swooned!

But let’s get back to Earth! This trip was quite the affair, let me tell you! I took the time to go to the Royal Opera House, a bit of a classic but so delightful nonetheless! This theatre, just… iconic. Such gorgeous costumes and a fab show about ballerinas, can't even remember the name of it, something with Swan… it's an absolute must-see if you get a chance to visit good ol’ London. I saw dancers like, whispers dramatically, D* s D* and L s D. I mean, if you are a ballerina you want to be in this ballet. Let’s just say that the performance was, as you might expect, pretty stellar. You wouldn’t have thought from all those fancy outfits they wear they could actually move in them. It just goes to show, you can achieve anything with hard work, dedication and, naturally, a lovely pink tutu.

Now, let's talk about the anniversary…

Today, July 9th, is a very special date in my world! It's the 2008 anniversary of my favourite ballet… a show that will stay with me forever! Remember when I was back home in Derbyshire, good ol’ Derby that is, back when I had just started performing… well I got tickets to see ‘Giselle’… whispers theatrically It's about love and tragedy. I really loved it, it made me want to be a ballerina more than ever before!

You wouldn't believe it, lovelies, but seeing 'Giselle' actually inspired me to take up my dream career… ballet and tutus full time! Now I am fulfilling my life-long dream… that’s to get the whole galaxy wearing tutus, laugh it may be ambitious but what else can a pink-loving tutu girl do, but dream? It's important, you know, to have big dreams and follow them wherever they take you! You might get to dance among the stars… in a tutu.

Anyway, lovelies, gotta go!

Do you remember seeing any ‘Giselle’ shows? How amazing is the dress? Let me know, darlings! Remember to keep dancing and smiling. It’s all I want for you.

Your beloved,

Emma
