Pink Tutu World: Planet Earth Blog - Post #758

Wednesday 4th November, 2009

Hello my darling Tutu Tribe! 💖✨

It's Emma here, and let me tell you, my little heart is still fluttering from the most fabulous trip to Planet Earth this week. Oh, the adventures! The fashion! The FOOD! 😍 I had to get straight back here to my keyboard and share every sparkly, pink, twirling detail with you!

This week, my space travels took me right to the heart of Derbyshire, England, the place where it all began! Now, my darling tutu lovers, I know you’re all super-excited about my trip. It’s where my story began! Where I fell head-over-heels for the sheer magic of ballet. Honestly, every cobblestone and country lane brought back memories of my own ballet training! So many happy memories... (but we’ll get to those later – after we've seen the sights!).

Before I reveal my Earthly escapades, let’s rewind to my last interstellar ballet trip to the planet Mars! 🤯 We saw the most glorious ballet in a huge theatre in the Martian city of Chryse. The Martians had even started wearing a few pink tutus, a fantastic achievement, my darlings! 💕 However, they weren't as comfortable as I’d like. They have much thicker limbs than we earthlings! It took the choreographer a lot of adjustments to get their spins right, and you’ve never seen so much sequins flying through the air! It's good to know my Tutu Revolution is spreading throughout the galaxy! It is all in a day's work for Emma and Pink Tutu World, isn’t it? 💃🏼✨

Now back to planet Earth! Let’s talk travel:

You know my love of spaceship travel, so I must tell you how utterly delighted I was with the recent upgrades on the Galactic Fleet’s Earth routes! No more three-day stop-over on Venus for a quick energy boost – just straight to London in my new sparkling-pink spaceship (the design is definitely inspired by my Tutu Empire - wouldn't have it any other way! 😍) My spaceship's interior, with its pink leather seats and swirling celestial ceiling, truly sets the mood for an intergalactic voyage, don't you think?

Oh! Speaking of Earth! 🌎

My journey began at Heathrow Airport! Yes, it was every bit as exciting as you might imagine, (except, of course, for the incredibly long queue to the toilets - there seems to be an extra planet's worth of tourists trying to go at the same time!). Even the security scan had me twirling to keep up the energy (my tutus do help a lot there, my dears!), But let me tell you, the London Tube has really stepped up its game! They now have special carriages for passengers wearing tutus, a divine and highly welcomed new development. Oh! Such wonderful attention to detail! 😊 You know me, always trying to add a little flair to any situation.

First on the Earthly to-do list? London’s Royal Opera House, of course! We must pay our respects to the grand old Dame, the original! 👵🏼 I must admit, darling Tutu Tribe, seeing that glorious building – well, you really just have to be there. So grand! So beautiful! And did you know it’s older than many planets in our galaxy? The fact they still present such wonderful ballet programs makes it extra special! 💖

The evening was one of absolute enchantment! A perfectly orchestrated show with the most glorious costuming, you know, I have my little eyes on a particular (but of course, only slightly) modified design that I plan on incorporating in the Tutu line for next season. 💖 We just can't be seen wearing those other colours. What fun! 😉

The most magical bit though? They have a museum in the Opera House! 🤯 You’ve got to visit it - an absolute tutu lovers paradise. Ballet memorabilia as far as the eye can see - shoes, costumes, sketches! It was almost too much to take in, I couldn't have been happier. But, I am sad to say, my darling Tutu Tribe, there was only one tutu on display and it was from the late Victorian era (I’m already brainstorming on how to bring the Tutu Empire to the notice of the curator).

Right! So, my Earthly itinerary also took me to Sadler’s Wells! Now, Sadler’s Wells has become so chic – I have heard tell that a certain starlet even wore a pink tutu here recently (I mean, how glamorous!). My dear darlings, what a delightful turn of events, especially as we all know she loves the colour turquoise. But let’s just leave it to be said, there’s no finer colour than Pink (oh, except perhaps baby pink!)

My friends on Planet Earth always suggest visiting London’s Royal Albert Hall. But they just don't get the real importance of ballet. What I need is to find the oldest theatre in London! I'm thinking... Drury Lane maybe? I think that was even around when those ballet pioneers from Italy first brought the tutu to this fine planet! We need more theatrical venues like that! I need to get down there and check it out, I mean, what can be more magical than stepping onto the very same stage where the legend of the tutu began?! ✨ I am off on a grand adventure later in the week! 😉

Back to London now, and the very, very exciting announcement! There is now a Tutu Boutique right in the middle of Soho! It's even named after me! Yes, my little darlings, it’s called Pink Tutu World London. My first Earth-based Tutu Boutique - this is what I've been waiting for! Of course, you all knew I was working on this! This is huge! We have finally found the best designers who know exactly what my fabulous tribe desires!

There’s a gorgeous cafe upstairs in the shop with its own pink tutu seating! I can assure you it’s even more delightful than a cafe on Jupiter’s moon (you’ve never seen such sparkly space ice cream!). You know, those Earthly drinks with their funny names, well, I’ve incorporated all my favorite colours and added my own “pink touch”. This cafe will make even a spaceship travel enthusiast like me wish they were back on Planet Earth! 😉

Of course, my little dears, I had to spend at least three days exploring the best places for a Tutu Princess! I simply adore how London makes each experience feel like its straight out of a ballet. Even those red buses remind me of the firebird costumes, no? We all know pink and red are so in, in fact, they will be the new colour combination this season for every single galaxy. 💖🔥 It's definitely more fun that orange and blue - wouldn't you agree?! 😉

On my Earth journey, my Tutu Tribe, you are going to be so jealous. It happened on Friday afternoon. I mean it happened, really happened. A spaceship landed. A big, very beautiful spaceship. This was the big one – it had a rainbow-coloured exterior with swirling celestial colours, not a pink one but a beauty just the same, and a sparkly spaceship, one even more magical than mine. They all wore those gorgeous outfits with long, sparkly capes, I could tell you the capes matched the new ones at Pink Tutu World right down to the smallest sequin. But their main fashion choice?

They all wore pink tutus. 🤯🤯

My heart fluttered with joy and my spirits soared.

This really is happening!

But you can't tell just from a little post - You have to be there - I was able to experience this grand event in the midst of so many fashionable stars! Honestly, darlings, it was more exciting than anything you could ever imagine. My eyes lit up with so much excitement! The energy in the air was electric! A very fashionable dance of the cosmic scales happened right in front of me! I still can’t believe how wonderful this journey to Planet Earth was. There's even an article on the Earth website that I am sure you will adore - 'Pink Tutu Mania'! The very name of my ballet legacy, in pink print too!

Just so you can’t stop smiling - I am going to post a couple of videos of my visit to planet Earth! I will post a little vid showing some of those stars in tutus. I’m keeping my tutu travels hush hush, because, well, the big unveiling at the Earth Boutique will take place on the next full moon – it will be super spectacular! 😉🤫 I hope I’ll have even more to tell you about that!

Before we move onto our last post, remember darlings – a pink tutu never goes out of style and we are so going to revolutionize the universe, one little tutu at a time. Keep smiling! 💖✨

And of course - Keep checking back for all the new adventures from Planet Earth next week! The Pink Tutu is coming!
