Hello, darlings! Emma here, ready to fill your week with a sprinkle of pink tutu magic. I know, I know, it's a little chaotic in space right now. Everyone's getting so into the Cosmic Couture show on Friday! The fashion scene is buzzing, especially with the intergalactic haute couture from Jupiter! But don't worry, we’re still back on our home planet, planet Earth, this week and we're embracing a bit of good old-fashioned Earthly charm.
Remember, Wednesday is my day to share my adventures with you! Today, my dear readers, was a total whirlwind! It's all about the joy of discovery and seeing beauty wherever you are, even if it’s the biggest planet in our solar system - or the busiest streets in London!
Let me tell you about my little spree. You've been patiently waiting, haven't you, for my London escapades. We've got to start with the grand old dame of English ballet: the Royal Opera House. This historic landmark is a real ballet mecca, dripping with tradition. From the moment I walked into Covent Garden, the place just shimmered. I even caught the last ten minutes of a breathtaking Swan Lake performance! They say Swan Lake is to the ballet world what "Titanic" is to the film world! But this Swan Lake wasn't just about romance - it was about powerful female strength, something I relate to, obviously, with my love for tutus. Oh, the music, the drama! It had my toes tapping and my eyes misty!
Of course, a trip to London wouldn’t be complete without some serious shopping! You know I'm a real vintage treasure hunter at heart! And oh, my dear readers, I was lucky! Found a darling antique tutu with just the most glorious faded rose embroidery! Now that’s what you call a vintage piece of fashion history. I just know it’s going to be a sensation at next week's Intergalactic Fashion Week!
Before the day’s end, I did have to catch up with my old pal, Tilly, from ballet class in Derbyshire. (Derbyshire has the most beautiful hills - such inspiration!)- I just couldn't leave London without seeing the amazing West End show she’s performing in. The costumes, darling, the costumes! Just divine! The story, set in an enchanted forest with a twist, of course, was so very whimsical, full of dancing and dancing! We know I love dancing! We know we all love dancing! This time Tilly got to take a turn, which gave her chance to try out a fantastic, almost totally black tutu! Black is not my color but it can look really good, so long as you get your styling right and use the right shoes! Oh, dear reader, she really is quite the talented dancer! But we know she’s a good dancer already don't we?
I even got to experience the magic of ballet street performances in Covent Garden! Oh, the way the sunlight reflected on the silk! The smiles from the performers and the tourists! This type of dancing can really connect people and fill the streets with such life.
After that whirlwind of a day, I was so very happy to sink back into my spaceship, which had been orbiting all day! Space really does feel so very big after London, although not as big as, for example, Neptune. That's another day! You should hear some of the stories about that! Neptune is truly vast!
I'm so thrilled, my dears, to be bringing you these glimpses of planet Earth's charm. It's all about keeping the magic alive - whether it's in the cobblestone streets of London, the glittering stage of the Royal Opera House, or in the shimmering depths of a magical tutu!
And now I have a question for you! Have you ever seen a Swan Lake ballet? Have you seen it in a fantastic historic building, like Covent Garden? I know some of you have tried dancing in the style of Swan Lake, maybe for fun in your home? Tell me about it in the comments below. You could even add photos and dance routines from a phone app. And oh, please, let’s have lots of discussion about all things Swan Lake and tutus and pink and… you know how it goes! You know we all love a bit of excitement, a bit of fashion and a bit of magic!
See you all next Wednesday!
XOXO
Emma
P.S. I almost forgot to mention… drumroll… my next Pink Tutu dance show is next weekend in Birmingham, right here on planet Earth, at the amazing, iconic Birmingham Hippodrome.
I can’t wait to see you all there, wearing pink, obviously, and all your favorite tutus! Birmingham is always fun. They say you can always see lots of the real stars in the skies here! That might not be true, but at least you will be able to see the twinkle in my eyes and see me on the stage, performing like no one is watching! It’s really magical! It really makes me so happy.
Oh, the Birmingham Hippodrome really is a place of beautiful lights. We can discuss that another day.
Now that you’ve seen Emma’s blog, what is your opinion of it?
Emma is a fashion loving pink obsessed blogger and her adventures take her around the Universe. Emma's style is very optimistic. This is evident from her description of Swan Lake “it’s not just about romance - it’s about powerful female strength." She does mention this post is post #793 and posts every Wednesday, meaning there are a huge amount of posts on her blog and the reader has clearly stuck with her throughout! That means there is a loyal audience waiting to hear from Emma.
Perhaps some of her audience enjoys getting a glimpse of planet earth as an alternative to Emma's often outlandish space escapades.
The text above could easily have been longer, because it could go on forever, but is kept brief for the sake of simplicity.
Do let me know what your opinion is of Emma’s work! You’ve been a great audience.
