Oh, my darling Tutu-licious friends, it’s Wednesday and you know what that means? It's time for another dazzlingly pink post from yours truly, Emma, on Pink Tutu World! This week, I’m coming to you straight from the rather underwhelming, albeit vibrant, Planet Earth. It's been quite a whirlwind tour of this rather large, blue-green, water-heavy ball (they've been trying to tell me about this 'gravity' thing – seems awfully restricting, don't you think?) – I mean, it has been amazing seeing so much history and meeting such lovely humans…well, I've only met humans so far, actually.
Now, before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let me rewind a bit. Last week, I mentioned my incredible show at the celestial ball on Saturn's rings. Honestly, you wouldn't believe the glittery audience, not to mention the divine intergalactic snacks – I even tried a Saturn ring-inspired smoothie, you wouldn't believe how many celestial flavors there were! The crowd just loved my Dance of the Dancing Stars finale, ending with a grand twirl-and-jeté across the rings. Absolutely divine!
So, I landed back here on Earth after a truly fabulous show. Right now, I’m in Derbyshire, a beautiful, green area of the Earth (my birth place, can you believe it! It does have a bit more…earth…than I am accustomed to). But I don’t let the lack of space travel faze me, darling! This planet, believe it or not, actually has a fantastic culture for ballet, just wait till I show you the shops! Oh my!
This Wednesday, my schedule was packed to the brim with Earthly adventures. After waking up, I was at the National Ballet Museum. You won’t believe how old ballet and tutu history goes! I mean, you wouldn't believe the tutus they have preserved here – silk and tulle that predates the moon landing – how chic! I even learned the origins of the famous pink tutu; you see, pink used to be quite rare back in the day, so having a pink tutu made you the envy of every ballerina. So glamorous!
My day involved more fashion explorations too. We Brits are known for a certain fashion sense, you see, so it would be rude to not hit a few shops, wouldn't it? Oh, I’ve already added some lovely, feather-light ballerina-themed clothing pieces to my collection and let’s be honest – every woman can always use a few more pairs of heels. The craftsmanship of shoes on this planet…so intricate.
Before the evening performance (which I was absolutely thrilled about – the stage is designed like an old English village, and what a perfect backdrop to our dance inspired by the classic A Midsummer Night's Dream - just imagine: love and fairies and moonlight!), I got to indulge in something truly extraordinary. An Earthly "tea party" - a completely new concept for me, you see, as you can imagine! I wore my newly acquired feather-trim vintage dress with a light pink silk shawl, and it truly went beautifully with the afternoon tea.
Now, of course, as with every planet I visit, I must always visit a few local cafes for a delightful pastry – let me tell you, humans have some impressive pastry creations. The bakers here certainly take it up a notch in creativity with their designs! And after a quick walk through a rather nice garden – there are no flowers quite like the Earth ones (they smell amazing!) - I found myself making a rather dazzling entry at the stage.
The show went off beautifully, with several "bows" (the human greeting on this planet, they've also got a way of waving their hands too – how bizarre, I still don't get it). I could just hear the music swelling, the cheers, and, my personal favorite: the sounds of delighted gasps as my costume glittered under the stage lights – this is how it feels, darling, being the most fabulous ballerina in the galaxy!
And that brings me to a rather exciting new development! Oh, I am so excited I could literally dance in my pink tutu. We’re finally bringing Pink Tutu World to all of Planet Earth. Yep! Get ready for "Pink Tutu Planet Earth Tour." I'm already planning dates, shows, and even launching a new collection inspired by this wonderful green-and-blue orb – let me tell you, there will be lots of tulle and glitter, naturally, but also some real Earth elements that I’m experimenting with – just you wait!
So, what will my next adventure on Earth be? Well, darling, I can't spill the beans yet – keep checking my Pink Tutu World blog every Wednesday – or follow me on Spacegram at @EmmaPinkTutu! This intergalactic ballet journey never stops, and my motto remains: Pink, glitter, twirls, and always always a bit of that extra touch of magical fun.
Love,
Emma, your favourite, space-exploring ballerina in the galaxy.
PS: Do let me know which planet I should travel to next – give me some recommendations! And what colours would you want me to incorporate in my next tour? Tell me what you're hoping for – Pink Tutu Planet Earth Tour will absolutely be dazzlingly brilliant!
