Planet Earth Blog #899: Tutu Travels - The Big Ballet Ball on the Galactic Galaxy!

Hey darlings,

Welcome back to www.pink-tutu.com! This week, I’m just brimming with excitement. Get ready for a dose of pink-tutu-infused interstellar adventure as we take a journey through the cosmos – a trip filled with twinkle toes and celestial twirls!

Let’s just dive right in shall we? So, as you know, I'm a ballerina through and through, and let me tell you, there’s no better way to spread the tutu love than by embracing the galaxy's vibrant cultures. Now, you might be wondering how I make this possible, considering how I'm currently perched right here in the midst of good ol’ Derbyshire. Well, I’m quite fond of a bit of ‘Space Age Fashion Week’ every now and again. That's when my celestial ballet troupe (yes, a full troupe) gets its dancing shoes on and we head to another planet for a whirlwind week of spectacular intergalactic performances.

This week? Well, it was time to travel back to the magnificent Galactic Galaxy for The Big Ballet Ball - an extraordinary event for the cosmos, if you will! You know how much I adore ballets and ball gowns – it's an incredible opportunity to mix glitz, glamour, and glorious grand-jeté with cosmic chic. This time, though, I decided to go a little bit extra. I donned the most breathtaking tutu – an actual celestial tapestry crafted with star dust!

Yes, I admit, I have my moments of tutu obsession! My heart races a little faster at the sight of a stunning ballet performance - those perfectly coordinated steps, the fluidity of movement, and that sheer exhilaration. And when it comes to fashion - well, you could say I have a slight predilection for anything that twirls! So, picture this - a galaxy far, far away... except it’s bursting with the colour pink. I’ve always said, what the galaxy really needs is a bit more pink – why should the universe be boring and monochrome?

And you know me, I simply couldn’t resist making a little ‘pink tutu-ified’ statement in this heavenly ball gown. Oh, it was positively divine. Every celestial being on the galactic galaxy (they’re all just sooooo beautiful - no fashion faux pas whatsoever! Oh, and a big hello to my dearest Galactic Galaxy girl - Zara – best friend goals in this outfit. I must tell you all about her soon… She’s always up for an adventure – just like me!) – every single cosmic being wanted to see the new collection. And to say I caused a tutu storm… well, let's just say I needed to call on my fellow space travelers to keep up with the requests! I was positively flying (though without actual wings – those always need more adjustments. I really think a nice bright pink tulle would be a great addition - who am I kidding? It needs more pink. Maybe some sequins. Yes! Sequins are a MUST!) - across the galaxy like a radiant pink comet!

It truly was a momentous occasion. This annual ball has a little extra oomph to it – this is one BIG cosmic get-together. We are talking full-scale opera performances, with magnificent celestial harmonies that reverberated through the grand hall – it was absolutely breath-taking. Oh! There were also a few surprise visits from the galaxy’s best-dressed celestial beings, so naturally I was just in my element, making note of the interstellar fashions - what to look out for next season.

Speaking of fashions - I have a new little collection in store, inspired by these galactic vibes and definitely channeling a little pink. As the cosmos embraces my love for pink and my darling tutus – it’s such a lovely moment for me - I know it’s just a hop, skip, and jump to all of the galaxies finally getting into this look - just watch this space! But of course, we always remember our human roots. I wouldn’t be myself without a little trip back down to planet earth. The Earthly Fashion Show is a real must-do on my schedule – even if it's just for the shopping! So as I wrap up this post, I'm getting ready to jet back to Derbyshire - to the bright lights, stage shows and street performances, and to the familiar twinkle of the English ballet scene! I simply love all that earth has to offer!

Catch me at my upcoming ballet performance in Derbyshire (check out my website - the link’s below). See you on planet Earth! And remember - every day is a new chance to unleash your inner ballerina!

Until next Wednesday…

What's On 2012-07-18:

I know I keep saying this, but, darling – it’s really that amazing - today we have ‘Space Age Fashion Week’. Yes, my beloved galactic friends have invited me back for their intergalactic ballet showcase. A beautiful fusion of stellar beauty and elegant tutus - what’s not to love? I always love travelling to The Galactic Galaxy for these events - what fun is dancing on Earth if you aren’t showcasing what you can do in an alien planet! I also, love the delicious food… it’s rather good. And, as much as I love a traditional earth cake, the way these aliens whip up a beautiful pastel pink cupcake with an amazing rainbow-tinted topping has just gotta be seen!

The Galactic Galaxy isn’t that far away by spaceship. I was lucky this year as I just managed to secure a ‘luxury suite’ on a brand-new spacecraft – a perfect opportunity to finally let down my hair in style – because you’re worth it, darling, just like this little intergalactic-inspired pink-tutu-themed playlist. Let’s make space age a style icon this week - after all, every season has it's moments for a tutu revival.

What to do in ‘Space Age Fashion Week’?

• Attend one of the many ‘Space Age Fashion Week’ galas - they just never let you down. These balls have all the best in galactic fashion: gowns in nebulous shades, glitter that actually glitters, and, of course, that out of this world makeup. The Galactic Galaxy are a fashionable bunch – they love their bling just as much as we do here. (The planet earth)

• If you find a dress that perfectly reflects a nebula - well, then you just have to make sure it’s in your closet – perfect for that *cosmic night-out*

## Galactic Fashion & Food Trends

• Celestial Fabrics: Every intergalactic being was sporting celestial-themed outfits. Star dust woven in delicate sequins, fabric with a galaxy-patterned finish. It truly was a feast for the eyes.

• Nebula Hues: These planetary designs were absolutely divine. My advice: be sure to embrace those beautiful nebula colors. Those gorgeous colours have got all the style.

• Extraterrestrial Makeup: It’s all about glitter, darling - but nothing subtle. Those alien creatures like their makeup with maximum sparkles.

That reminds me…. Let’s have some delicious interstellar cupcakes – if you love your cakes to be just *so pretty… try one of the Galaxy Galaxy’s sparkle cupcakes - the icing is out of this world!*

I am unable to give you specific details on what happened on this date (2012-07-18), as these were invented for the blog post, so you need to create those. For the fashion events, you can create things like ”Space Age Fashion Week Gala", “Cosmic Dress competition”. I've given examples.
