Pink Tutu World: Intergalactic Ballet - Planet Earth, 10th October 2012! (Post No. 911)

Hello darlings! Emma here, from your favourite pink tutu-loving ballerina blogger, writing to you from…well, right here on Planet Earth! It’s been a busy week, but I simply couldn’t let another Wednesday go by without a little pink tutu update from my travels. And oh my stars, you’re not going to believe where I've just been!

This week's adventures took me to a world so unlike any other. Picture this: starlight glittering through swirling nebulae, sparkling cosmic dust swirling around, a landscape painted in shades of magenta and violet, and… a ballet class! It’s hard to believe that even in the vast emptiness of space, the elegance of ballet is finding its footing, literally!

As always, I had my trusty pink tutu with me, even though a cosmic breeze almost whisked it away at one point – let’s just say my star-powered hairspray is pretty essential out there! The dance class was led by a being with seven arms and iridescent skin. Apparently, ā€œIntergalactic Ballerina,ā€ was a big career path amongst the extraterrestrial community.

Speaking of careers, how wonderful is it to be doing what we love and being able to share it with the world (or should I say, the universe)? My ballet performances are the fuel for my spaceship – my beautiful custom-made ā€˜Pink Pearl’. It even has a space-age pink tutu for a front section, don’t you just love it? You’d be surprised how many star systems take requests for tutu performances – it's truly tutu-tally brilliant!

Now, onto the more earthly happenings… Today’s date on planet Earth, 10th October 2012, is rather exciting, even in the intergalactic travel-obsessed mind of a ballerina. Did you know it’s World Animal Day? That’s why my tutu, as you know, has a cute little, hand-sewn cat face sewn on it for this special day. I find animals to be some of the best, natural ballet performers. They just have this inherent graceful beauty, even when they're being naughty! You just can't help but want to do a graceful twirl with a cheeky kitty, don’t you agree?

Of course, before my interstellar journey, I made a pitstop in good old Derby – a girl needs her English country fix! Derby’s such a haven for all things ballet. This week’s ballet class at the Derby Arts Centre was phenomenal! You wouldn't believe the intricate leaps and elegant turns – you really must see a class there. It's inspiring!

Before my galactic trip, I found a stunning vintage tutu shop! I’ve been searching for years for the perfect ā€œDancing Among The Starsā€ pink tutu, and, voila, I found it. A breathtaking beauty with shimmering celestial-themed fabric. Let’s just say, this blog post might have inspired the purchase!

But of course, no adventure on this earth (or the intergalactic one!) can happen without the magic of shopping, and the lovely Derby shop ā€œThreads of Romanceā€ was an absolute delight! I found the most fabulous ruby red velvet cloak with a gold satin lining. It will be the perfect accessory to wear during my next ballet performance under the celestial dome! You’ll have to wait for a picture until my next blog.

The beauty of fashion is it allows us to be playful with our individual expressions! I’ve learned this, you see, on my numerous planet earth travels. We’re constantly learning about fashion, culture, and, yes, of course, all things tutus. Remember darlings, there is a ballet within each of us, even when we’re not wearing a pink tutu – we are all beautiful, capable beings!

Speaking of capability, do any of you fabulous readers have any stories of your own planet Earth adventures, ballet inspirations, or tutu experiences you want to share? Remember to check out the www.pink-tutu.com blog! Post a comment below! My mission is, as always, to spread the tutu-tal love and magic of pink around the entire galaxy – and it wouldn’t be possible without you all!

Until next Wednesday, darlings, let your tutu dreams twirl,

Love,

Emma, from Pink Tutu World!

P.S. Do you fancy entering a raffle to win a copy of my brand new tutu design book, ā€œTutus for the Universeā€? Leave your details on the website. I'm picking a winner this Wednesday!
