Pink Tutu World: Ballet on Planet Earth - Post 1127

Wednesday, November 30th, 2016

Darling readers,

It's Emma here, and you simply won't believe what I've just gotten back from! Honestly, I am positively overflowing with excitement. I'm ready to spill all the fabulous tea and gossip about the most divine and captivating trip.

As you all know, this Wednesday marks a whole new post for www.pink-tutu.com. I've got this fantastic plan where I share my thoughts, dreams, adventures, and most importantly, tutu fashion, every single Wednesday. Because you simply can't go wrong with a dash of pink and a fabulous tutu, right?

Now, for all my dearest pink-loving readers, get ready for some real fashion tea. My most recent trip was a whirlwind journey through space, right to Planet Earth, specifically to a quaint and wonderful little town called Derbyshire, England, a place with truly amazing ballet performances.

Can you believe, darling, I just landed back on the good old planet Earth and it's already a whirlwind! Just imagine this: my spaceship, glistening under the Earth's blue sky, a beautiful sight, don't you think? And I, stepping onto solid ground again after another phenomenal galactic adventure! It's always so exciting to reconnect with our home planet, even if it's only for a brief visit.

Speaking of the Earth, there is simply no place more enchanting for a ballerina with a flair for the dramatic than Planet Earth. My home planet is an absolute wonder to me - full of gorgeous colours, wonderful cultures, and an abundance of breathtaking ballet.

The entire journey was an absolute delight. But I am especially enchanted with Earth's dedication to the dance form.

And let me tell you, darlings, Earth's commitment to fashion and performance has simply blown me away!

Remember the breathtakingly beautiful spaceship I was telling you about, my beloved intergalactic vessel? It's sleek, glamorous and has this absolutely darling feature - I designed a magnificent, fully rotating stage inside. Think swirling galaxies, pulsating stars, and shimmering comets, all in an incredible multicoloured spectacle. Honestly, it's heavenly for performances! And every single time, I hold a magical show, just like this, the proceeds go directly to my next out-of-this-world space journey. It's all a delightful circle, and it allows me to continue spreading the gospel of pink tutus to new, exciting corners of the galaxy.

You all know I am an absolute devotee of Earthly ballet. My love affair with the graceful art began when I was a little girl in Derby. There I learned all the classical moves, the leaps and the twirls, under the watchful gaze of my patient ballet teacher, Mrs. Pemberton. And to be honest, there is truly nothing more fulfilling in my life than taking my fellow Earthlings on magical dance journeys while they wear, you guessed it, stunning, exquisite pink tutus! I always imagine each one in their own swirling space dreams - twirling beneath star-studded ceilings! And the very thought of that gives me goosebumps.

I'm a huge ballet fan and spend every last bit of time learning all there is to know about dance history, and you can trust me to spend just as much time in any given Earth boutique searching for a perfect new tutu as I do researching all the little secrets hidden deep inside history's great ballet performances. You should see my extensive, magnificent tutu collection! And, darlings, I am positively in love with my favourite little Earth fashion boutique - it’s tucked away, nestled in a quaint, cobbled street just off a hidden alleyway - ā€œLa Belle Fille.ā€ It's the kind of shop a dreamer would absolutely love.

There is truly nothing I love more than finding exquisite tutus at a steal and, of course, I always have the most beautiful time indulging in my ballet history books. Ballet’s history, like the stars in the night sky, just seems to be brimming with possibilities and beauty. And each night as I sit dreaming of new adventures with my pink-tutu clad dance company before I set off to some brand new corner of space, I never, ever stop imagining where these fantastic adventures might lead.

Right, let's not get carried away and delve into the wonderful adventures of my journey!

Planet Earth was nothing short of amazing this time, especially since the very kind people at the Derby theatre organised a phenomenal performance of Swan Lake for me. Now, my absolute darling readers, if you don’t know it, Swan Lake is a simply beautiful classical ballet with this amazing tragic love story about this graceful, beautiful ballerina. But what made this particular ballet even more magnificent, was its exquisite costuming. I do believe I’ve found my absolutely favourite new designer on Planet Earth.

I met this most extraordinary gentleman named Mr. George, a dear soul who does the most beautiful embroidery. This fantastic gentleman was doing all of the wonderful costumes for Swan Lake and he made an absolute dream of it, in all sorts of beautiful blues and whites with just the most exquisite details - think tiny silver beads and elegant feathers that shimmered in the stage light, darling. Honestly, you’ll never catch me wearing just a standard tutu! They simply do not have the intricate detail to compare, you know!

Honestly, it felt as if all the magical fairies of Planet Earth had poured their most amazing heart and souls into the creation of the costumes that the dancers wore, just like this incredible embroidery. It was quite the theatrical feast. There was this wonderful, absolutely stunning use of light, creating these intense, emotional scenes in such a beautiful way.

Oh, darlings, the most enchanting part about this whole Swan Lake journey, I had the pleasure of seeing these most amazing dancers, a mix of new and experienced, who did all these fantastic things that are almost too beautiful to put into words - soaring leaps, delicate pirouettes, beautiful arm work…all so flawlessly put together - simply exquisite, my dear readers! Their movements and elegance, you must know, made me want to hop on stage myself! It reminded me how the heart and soul of a ballet always relies on this magic touch that these gifted, elegant dancers share - pure beauty, darling.

But what made this particular journey so truly breathtaking, darling, was the fact that a new dancer, a stunning young lady called Miss Jasmine, made her big Earth debut during the performance of Swan Lake.

You wouldn’t believe, dear readers, this magnificent Miss Jasmine! This graceful young dancer took to the stage as a solo, she has a natural, fluid movement that, my darlings, had the entire audience spellbound. The performance she gave? Nothing short of divine. And to think, this talented dancer is just starting out on her career path.

Just imagine it, my darlings - to have all the magic of ballet wrapped in a magical, glittering, pink-tutu universe. Well, it’s this that drives my tutu quest. I am so committed to ensuring every single ballerina on this great, big, swirling planet Earth has an exquisite, delightful, pink-tutu world of her very own!

Because I believe every ballet dream starts with a single twirl!

Right then, darling, that’s all for today.

Until next week,

Love and twirls,

Emma xx
