Pink Tutu World: Ballet on Planet Earth - Post #1175

Wednesday, November 1st, 2017

Darling readers,

I'm back from an absolutely divine intergalactic voyage and just had to share all the exciting details with you lovely lot! This week, my travels took me right back down to Earth, which felt a little less otherworldly after the incredible planets I've been visiting lately.

But fear not, darling, my journey was far from boring! As soon as I landed in Derbyshire (always a delightful homecoming!), I immediately hopped on a spaceship, my favourite bubblegum pink tutu shimmering in the sun. My destination? The vibrant city of London, for an evening at the world-renowned Royal Opera House!

Now, you all know how much I adore a good ballet show. It's one of life's little pleasures, the ultimate escape into a world of artistry, beauty, and graceful movement. This particular night, the programme featured "Swan Lake", a timeless classic, that had me enthralled from the very first note.

Before the show, I did some essential retail therapy at Harrods. It wouldn't be a Pink Tutu World trip without a spot of shopping, would it? And what better place than the haven of all things chic and extravagant? I found myself a breathtaking vintage dress with a full tulle skirt – perfect for a princess-worthy ballet evening. And of course, I added a touch of pink with my ballet shoes and a delicate silk scarf.

The Royal Opera House, as always, was utterly magnificent. The plush red velvet seats, the grand chandeliers glittering above, the air humming with anticipation - pure theatrical magic! I even spotted a couple of famous faces in the audience, including the charming Lord Beaumont, a dashing figure who truly embodies the elegance of a classic ballet gentleman.

But let’s talk about the show, shall we? It was utterly breathtaking. The ballerinas danced like swans in flight, their movements fluid and graceful, every gesture filled with emotion. I was captivated by the intricate choreography, the exquisite costumes, the powerful music - pure artistry at its finest.

As the final curtain fell, the applause filled the theatre with a roar, and my heart overflowed with pure joy. A little tear even escaped, such was the power of the performance.

Later, I sipped on a delicious hot chocolate (with marshmallows, naturally!), as I strolled through the bustling streets of London. I bumped into a charming chap dressed in a tutu, who invited me to his street ballet performance, "The Tutus of Piccadilly Circus." Now, you know I can't say no to a little street ballet!

The group of dancers, all sporting dazzling tutus, moved with an infectious energy that captivated the crowd. It was truly heartwarming to witness such a passion for dance, even amidst the hustle and bustle of city life. I just had to share their infectious enthusiasm with you, my dears, so I caught a video of them, just to give you a glimpse of the joy. It's on my YouTube channel!

Speaking of sharing, you can join me and my wonderful dance troupe, the Pink Tutu Brigade, on my travels on Friday evening for our next ballet show in Manchester! Tickets are limited, darling, so hurry over to www.pink-tutu.com to book your place before they're gone. It's going to be a showstopper!

Of course, we can't forget the real reason for my journey: spreading the gospel of pink tutus, one galaxy at a time! After the magnificent show, I shared my signature pink tutu with a little girl who was staring at it with wide, dreamy eyes. Seeing the pure delight on her face filled my heart with so much joy!

I truly believe that every soul deserves the experience of twirling in a beautiful pink tutu, of feeling the confidence and joy that comes with embracing their own inner ballerina. That's my mission, and I'm determined to reach every corner of the universe.

My journey isn't over yet. Next week, I'm off to a mysterious new planet called Aventura - rumours say they have a dance scene unlike any other, with intergalactic ballets performed by multi-coloured cosmic beings. I simply cannot wait to see what delights await me!

Until then, keep those tutus twirling, darling!

Lots of love,

Emma www.pink-tutu.com
