Post #1205: From Derbyshire to the Cosmos - A Tutu's Journey to Planet Earth!

Hello my dearest tutu-loving friends! Welcome back to www.pink-tutu.com, your one-stop shop for all things sparkly and pink! It's Wednesday, so that means it's time for another fabulous post - this time about my latest galactic adventures, and what a journey it's been!

I have to tell you all about the truly spectacular, whirlwind, oh my goodness experience that was visiting Earth. I know what you’re thinking - ā€œEmma, you love tutus, you love travel, you've been to every planet - how is Earth different? What's so special about it?ā€. Well, my lovely lot, allow me to elaborate…

Firstly, Earth's gravitational pull is totally different to most planets. I thought my tutus were fabulous, let me tell you! All the whirling, twirling, jumping and jetƩing I managed was nothing short of phenomenal! Imagine the thrill - just try to visualize the feeling - like a tiny pink feather in a big, strong cosmic gust of wind, if you can imagine that. It was absolutely dreamy, even my spaceship had a giggle.

Let’s rewind a little. The spaceship landed outside the quaint town of Buxton, the capital of the Derbyshire Peak District (you have to visit!) on Planet Earth. I mean, it was truly stunning - like the most elegant landing platform on the planet! But that wasn't the biggest shock to my system. My gorgeous tutu-wearing, intergalactic bestie, Gloria, suggested, ā€œOh Em, we must find an earthling balet-ballet (ballet in English) class before we head to the big performance later.ā€ Just to put things in context - we usually land on a planet, head to a show, have a *marvelous time, do a bit of tutu-themed shopping at local boutique stores then jet off on our space travels* but Gloria has an odd love for ā€œreal lifeā€ and thought I would enjoy it - in a tutu, obviously - on a real planet - and she was right and she did such a wonderful job! It was absolutely magic - but I had a confession: after dancing all over this stunning real life planet with some truly marvelous people - they're a very "in the moment" kind of lot, if I'm being honest...they have great music too! so much to be discovered..and the most vibrant fashion colours - a million and one shades of green to be precise, I mean, if you thought pink was fabulous , try a thousand shades of green - I just love it, especially on all the vibrant leaves on trees which grow right up to the tops of mountains! They call them hills and I really do love the "peaks" around this place they’re truly *fab - as you'd expect me to love! But anyway, where was I…right - after class, we found a beautiful local boutique. All the best earthling tutus...with just a touch of bling-bling on them! Yes, Gloria even found some sparkle on Earth Now where was I, so that’s why this time was totally different, this journey!

And then it hit me! The performance - it was the Earth's largest performing arts venue! You wouldn't believe this...a *gorgeous 19th-century building in the city of London just screaming "Emma you have to visit this!", it is so incredibly opulent with beautiful dĆ©cor that reminded me of a cosmic ballet theatre I saw once, right outside the milky way (which has this lovely moon like a perfect crystal!). The theater - all done up in the most exquisite detail. Just lovely! It reminded me of my trip to Venus with her incredible, celestial moon garden - which just happened to be just off the main path where all the intergalactic spaceship routes converge to meet, where I found the most fantastically elegant white ballerina gown in a shop - it was heavenly! Right, but where was I, now this London theatre....this gorgeous theatre....where the performance of Giselle just transported me back to Earth and gave me an extra special twirl....it’s something I still think about! Oh how magical It was on this glorious, perfectly beautiful evening where I could have stayed all night. They really know how to party, with dancing and laughter at the best after party too, all dressed in a kaleidoscope of colour - just like the cosmos! What I loved was they even danced after the performance and kept the fun going at the after-party at a wonderful establishment they called "The Swan." It truly did have a cosmic air of the loveliest dancing, laughter, and the most magnificent, vibrant colors, so much color all just screaming out "this is my planet!" Right…So, when they got to the swans section, I think I nearly died, really…they weren’t even in my imagination… they just appeared and then, they flew.

I think I saw some little human earthlings looking with wonder at my sparkly tutu - even a tiny Earthling baby! I must be more *careful around those adorable babies* I told myself, with a chuckle, and tried to calm myself as I stood there with my mouth open…then it was just too magical. I needed a quick refresh…a touch of pink. You know my favorite thing to do, right? I pulled out my pink lip-stick and did a quick touch to make me feel all sparkly again! The most fabulous shade of pink.

That reminds me! I must add - that when I visit Earth - there is always at least one incredible ballet class going on at every hour! - Even in small local shops - you’ve got to try and get to one, when you visit, so don’t worry - there will always be a great show, no matter what you might find going on there...that’s why you have to get ready to be taken on an adventure in pink...because everything always turns pink somehow, once you’re in planet Earth.

## Shopping…Oh I love shopping! I'm just mad about ballet and shopping and this planet is definitely where you’ll have to go, to get a tutu upgrade (I say ā€œupgradeā€, because you are going to want to have a tutu that is absolutely gorgeous! And trust me when I say ā€œgorgeousā€ , it really does mean ā€œgorgeousā€ ! - and of course - sparkly, with a whole lot of pink, and, yes - with the perfect mix of pink of just the right colors to make it really sparkle and make the whole galaxy say, "Emma...I love your tutu...but can I borrow it?ā€.

You will definitely want to find all of the shops that sell tutus!

*And, to think of all those tutus - those little, pretty ballerinas in tiny pink tutus … and all those fabulous big, full pink tutus that the older ballerinas love to wear so much - a world of tutus, waiting for a ballerina like me to just go, ā€œI must wear you.ā€

Now, just imagine that with a whole city of little ballet dancers all just wearing the perfect tutu just perfectly fit to twirl - all these perfectly twirling girls who know exactly how to get a perfect spin!

I just can’t tell you how amazing that moment of wonder and discovery feels like - all that pink is just everywhere, you know?! I just knew that it must be time for an earthling makeover for myself... so I booked in at a salon! The beautiful Earthling stylists gave me a new fabulous hairstyle (in the cutest salon ever!) after which I just went to the theater ...you know me… to make my own big *arrival - all pink and all ready for that night of *cosmic joy. But where did I find that amazing salon - well that's a story for another day, my sweet tutu-loving friends... it was another lovely moment of serendipity! You’ll see it when you arrive here on your travels to Planet Earth. But if you have to ask me for suggestions my dear, you should look no further than... *Derby, and let me tell you, when you arrive at that place it’s as good as being on a cloud.

Oh! - How about this! Earthling fashion bloggers - who knows... maybe they'll make Planet Earth the new, must-have planet of fashion! Imagine wearing an intergalactic pink tutu here on Earth….it just wouldn't be possible...I must make it happen.

Now where did I leave that sparkly little space fairy thingamajig that tells you exactly how much sparkly pinkness there is in every part of the universe.... ah yes - that's it!

Sparklyometer! "Ooh, it’s just getting hotter. More pinkness!ā€ says sparklyometer…. It really must be Earth because that sparklemeter is saying that it’s more sparkly than the whole of the *Andromeda galaxy. What will they be doing here… on this planet - just to get all the pink out?

Well that will *definitely have to be something to *do on my next trip here on Planet Earth, I must see for myself, the place must be glowing pink! This trip to Planet Earth - it’s one to remember, for the ballet and for every time we land in the same location. You must know that if you arrive in Buxton (my new favourite town) it's just going to be all pink, even the sky.

Pink Tutu World. It really is just everywhere. And we should try and find some space on this planet Earth to make a really, really huge pink, tutu, ballgown to wrap around the planet, you know how we love it. It will be the biggest and most amazing tutu, with *all the sparkle that even we have never seen, with the whole of the cosmic sparkle...

Just try to imagine... that is exactly what this planet will be, in all of its glory!… You see how it’s easy to get into the flow of it here… this magical tutu-licious, pink planet is just going to make every ballerina feel all sparkly just by thinking about this place.. I know it does…I love Planet Earth.

Oh, and on May 30th, the Earth is holding this incredible event where there are going to be lots of activities that are all just super-cool - you should come, my lovely tutu-lovers - there will be music and dance and lots and lots of tutus! I’ve booked the spaceship *as we speak.… Oh my, you are not going to believe how much fun we are going to have.

That's it from me! It's been great sharing my adventure with you, as always. Remember to tune in every Wednesday at www.pink-tutu.com for another adventure and until next week, have fun with tutus - you can always add more pink! I do..

See you all next time…with a new sparkly tutu…and a new trip.

XOXO Emma
