Hello, my darling tutu-lovers!
It's Wednesday, August 29th, 2018 and it's time for another Pink Tutu World update! Can you believe it's already August? Where did the summer go? I must say, Planet Earth has been particularly beautiful this summer, filled with gorgeous sunshine and blooming flowers. The colours here are absolutely exquisite!
As you know, I am, of course, a huge fan of ballet, so I'm thrilled to be back on Planet Earth. As soon as I landed, I was off to see a stunning performance of "The Sleeping Beauty" at the Royal Opera House in London. Oh my, the costumes! They were like a dream come true! It was all swirling silks, glistening jewels, and just the right touch of pink. They even had a magnificent, billowing pink tutu that took centre stage during the Grand Pas de Deux ā utterly magical!
Speaking of tutus, you wouldn't believe what a fantastic vintage shop I stumbled upon in London! Tucked away on a side street, it was full of absolute treasures. Imagine my joy when I found a stunning vintage pink tulle tutu, just waiting for its next performance! You know I had to snap it up.
Now, as you know, I'm always looking for the perfect tutu ā one that embodies both elegance and whimsical fun. For those of you who haven't tried on a vintage tutu yet, you simply must find the time! They often have these exquisite details that are lost in modern tutus. Imagine delicate embroidery, perfectly draped layers, and oh, those vintage buttons⦠simply a dream!
Speaking of dreams, did you see that beautiful moonlit night last night, my darlings? It was the most beautiful shade of pink Iāve ever seen. I stood outside my spaceship, staring at it, thinking about my mission: spreading the joy and elegance of pink tutus across the galaxy! And, as I twirled around my ship in my new vintage tutu, it felt like the universe was encouraging me! Thatās what it's all about, right? Sharing the love and excitement of ballet and all things pink, no matter where we are!
You see, when I put on a tutu, I feel invincible, powerful, and full of life. I truly believe that wearing a tutu is a symbol of courage, confidence, and self-expression. This might be why there are already quite a few ballet companies on different planets who now incorporate pink tutus in their performance designs! Itās been such an honour to inspire the cosmos!
So, hereās the call to action! This weekend, grab a pink tutu, dance like no one is watching (because really, youāre probably not the only one in a tutu! ;) ) and feel the power of ballet magic. Whether it's in your living room, a park, or even your spaceship (if you happen to have one!), embrace the beauty and fun of ballet. It's never too late to feel like a ballerina princess, my dears! And donāt forget to send me a picture of you rocking that tutu!
*Outfit inspiration for this week: * My current favorite outfit is a sleek, emerald green dress thatās as sophisticated as it is stylish. I added some sparkling gold earrings, a fluffy white bolero, and the most perfect, pale pink, ballerina flats ā which perfectly complement my new vintage tutu! (Which is pink, by the way! ā did you expect anything less? Haha!). It's all about elegant layering and colour contrasts, which really helps my new vintage tutu stand out. It is the star of the show, of course.
Let's take a quick peek at my itinerary for the rest of my Planet Earth adventures:
August 30th: Shopping trip to Oxford Street! Itās an absolute must-do when I'm in London, I always find some dazzling new shoes or tutus!
August 31st: Touring Buckingham Palace! Whatās a trip to England without a trip to the royal palace?
September 1st: Back to the Royal Opera House in London ā to see an evening performance of āThe Nutcrackerā (Because every good ballerina must see "The Nutcracker" in the capital).
September 2nd: Back on my ship and soaring across the Milky Way! I'll post a little peek at where I'm going on Instagram tomorrow. Stay tuned for more cosmic adventures, dear tutulovers.
As always, be sure to share your own tutu experiences with me! You can post on my blog, leave a comment, or send me a message via my social media accounts (find me on @pinktutuworld on both Insta and Facebook!).
Until next Wednesday, my darling tutu-lovers,
Emma, signing off from Planet Earth.
P.S.: Don't forget to check out the amazing pink tutu shop I found. You can find it online at "Vintage Tutu Wonderland", and let's make Planet Earth a tutu haven! Remember: You're all stars! (And I don't mean the celestial kind ā although I must say you sparkle just as bright.)
