Pink Tutu World: Blog Post #1282 - Ballet on Planet Earth (2019-11-20)

Hello my darlings! Welcome back to Pink Tutu World!

It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another fabulous blog post. I'm absolutely bursting with excitement to share my adventures with you all. This week, I'm back on Planet Earth after a whirlwind tour of the Andromeda Galaxy. Oh, the colours! Oh, the tutus!

Speaking of tutus, you wouldn't believe what I found on my travels this week! There's a whole planet dedicated to tutus! I mean, they haven't perfected the pink ones yet, but they've got some rather fetching neon greens and vibrant oranges. I even picked up a few sparkly silver ones for my collection – just imagine the possibilities for my upcoming intergalactic performance!

And guess what?! It's the Royal Ballet season here on Earth! Can you believe it? I absolutely had to attend a performance of The Nutcracker, because who can resist a bit of Tchaikovsky magic and the utter perfection of that snow scene? Honestly, I cried like a baby (but with impeccable mascara, obviously). And afterwards? The grand finale is always such a thrill - and of course, I caught up with all my favourite dancers for a post-show champagne. There's truly nothing quite like the energy of a grand ballet finale - it sends shivers down your spine!

While I'm back on Earth, I'm also doing a spot of ballet shopping in my favourite Notting Hill boutiques. Let me tell you, there are some stunning new tulle designs available, perfect for all your twirling needs! And did I mention they have pink ones?! Naturally, I've been on a pink spree, and I can't wait to show you all my fabulous purchases when I'm back on my spaceship. Speaking of my spaceship...it's undergoing a serious upgrade to make way for my ever-expanding tutu collection (did I tell you I've been practicing my 'pirouette' routine with my trusty travel tutu - I think it's coming along nicely).

Now, as I mentioned before, I'm heading to a Ballet on the Street event tonight. Honestly, I can't wait for this - it's always a riot of colourful tutus and a blast of energy. They’re taking over the town square with street dancers, performances and street food! I might even have a go at a bit of impromptu twirling - it's all in the name of bringing the joy of ballet to the masses. I'm sure you can see that this is very much aligned with my personal mission, my dearest darlings.

I'm also keeping a close eye on all the amazing new tutus and tutu trends happening on Planet Earth this season, including the absolutely gorgeous 'retro-tutu' looks for 2020 - you wouldn't believe how exciting the resurgence of the Victorian era's fluffy tutus is (I just got my hands on some amazing floral velvet and feathered accessories – divine!)

Of course, my travels always inspire me to come back to Planet Earth full of new ideas for my ballet performances. The intergalactic tutus I picked up are going to be amazing! Imagine the glittering effect of a silvery tutu on stage! It'll be simply divine! I'm dreaming of choreographing a piece inspired by my recent travels through the Andromeda Galaxy. Can you imagine a spaceship ballet in the style of Cinderella ? I'm thinking it could have some wonderful elements of magical, shimmering, sparkly tutu magic - and maybe even a celestial disco ball. Now wouldn't that be an out of this world performance?

Now, while you're reading my latest blog, do go take a look at my latest tutu creations - they're up on my website www.pink-tutu.com . I've added a brand new tutu just for those with an adventurous, intergalactic fashion sense - it's perfect for the budding galactic ballerina, so I do hope you'll check it out. You know me, always creating new pieces inspired by my amazing adventures, for you and your beloved tutu wardrobe.

Of course, this all takes funding and my little Pink Tutu World fund is ever growing thanks to your ongoing support - and of course, my brilliant ballet performances - and my newest ones are certainly inspired by this most wonderful time of the year! I simply have to show off the fabulous pink tutu outfit I designed! It is sure to take your breath away - even in the grand, vast, universe! I'll share images in next week's blog - just imagine the pink fluff! You won’t want to miss it!

I'll leave you now - I have to prepare for a little ballet fun at Ballet on the Street. Don't forget to join me for a little dance in the comments below!

Until next week, darlings.

Lots of pink love, Emma xxx

P.S - If you see me out and about on Planet Earth, be sure to say hello! (Just shout "Tutu!") I love meeting my fellow pink tutu enthusiasts and I can't wait to see your pink tutu designs. Maybe I can add you to my online tutu-fashion magazine (think Vogue, but with a little extra glitter). And while I'm at it - make sure you head on over to www.pink-tutu.com. And tell me your dreams about pink tutus!

Emma's Pink Tutu Journal: Planet Earth, 2019-11-20

My Diary:

This evening has been wonderful - even if my tutu's a little crumpled after my travels -I'm *totally going to iron it out. It's not the ideal thing for dancing on the planet but I’ve got a special spray! Honestly, it's worth the extra effort. Plus I had an amazing time! The best moment? That little girl dressed up in a fluffy purple tutu, dancing in the centre of the square with her father! He was so enthusiastic - twirling her around, singing along, laughing and enjoying it all - that kind of thing is simply irresistible! That's what it's all about for me: seeing those moments and bringing a bit of sparkle to peoples' days - even if it's just a little flash of pink!

Now... onto this giant bottle of bubble-gum pink nail polish! It'll match the pinkest pink tutu in my new collection - I just *can’t *wait to see if I can pull it off - the galactic tour outfit needs the most vibrant, perfect shade of pink! And that’s what makes being back on Earth so much fun. It's all about getting those ideas out there, making them happen and creating the perfect tutu wardrobe for every situation. And who knows? Maybe I'll even inspire a few future ballet dancers. They can help me with the plan I made about taking pink tutus all over the universe!

But for now, sleep calls. I've got a huge week ahead of me and my pink tutus will be making quite a splash on this wonderful, colourful, glittery planet!

Fashion Focus: Pink Tutu Trends 2020

Oh, my darlings! Let’s talk tutus! The biggest trend of 2020? You guessed it. It’s all about the vintage tutus. Those puffy Victorian styles are coming back big time! (Just check out those stunning tutus at The Vintage Tutu Store in London! They are breathtaking!) Think soft, floral velvet, feathers, lace and iridescent tulle! There’s so much opportunity for dramatic designs, and of course - pink is my go-to. (A big shout out to Vintage Tutu Boutique for sending me the amazing collection of pastel pink and coral pink tutus I received last week! Honestly, breathtaking). And guess what?! I’m going to show you all the incredible vintage outfits I have picked up - maybe next week's blog post? Now, back to Planet Earth for now, but next week you will all see some very stylish vintage tutu designs - guaranteed to get your twirling muscles going!

I'm also seeing some really exciting new materials, and even more emphasis on environmentally friendly tulles (especially eco-friendly pink ones, how exciting!). It's all about being kind to the planet, darlings, and to your skin, and the future! Those fluffy tutu trends are just as popular as ever but with a modern edge, and don't worry, you won’t be left in the dark - the new light up tutu trends will definitely make a splash! I've got some amazing pieces I can't wait to show you - tutu lovers will absolutely adore the colour combinations - it's like wearing a piece of the Milky Way!

Keep an eye on Pink Tutu World to stay on top of the hottest tutu trends this season, and of course - feel free to add a little sparkle to your looks by adding some tutu magic! Don't forget my Pink Tutu World website www.pink-tutu.com for some amazing pieces you'll want to add to your own tutu collection! And keep it sparkly!
