Greetings from Planet Earth, darling readers!
It's Wednesday, 18th March 2020, and as usual, I'm here to bring you another dose of Pink Tutu World, brimming with delightful delights from my recent travels! Today's post is dedicated to my intergalactic ballet escapade, a whirlwind of cosmic twirls and extraterrestrial tutus!
As you all know, I'm a passionate ballet enthusiast, with a particular penchant for tutus, especially the fluffy pink ones. And my love for all things sparkly extends far beyond Planet Earth! This week, my spaceship (which, I must confess, has been newly upholstered in the most exquisite pink velvet – you're welcome, Universe) whisked me off on a celestial tour, and boy, was it a treat!
Cosmic Choreography
Our first stop was the stunning planet of Zorb, a turquoise gem shimmering with ethereal nebulae. This place is home to some of the most graceful and expressive alien dancers I've ever seen – think intricate formations, fluid movements, and some seriously impressive aerial acrobatics! Their costumes were particularly mesmerizing: shimmering, iridescent tunics with ethereal trails of glittering stardust. And they even had their own version of pointe shoes – these ones were actually shimmering spheres, gliding across the surface of the planet with the utmost finesse! I've been told it's quite difficult to get the hang of Zorb's gravitational pull – apparently it takes some time to get the hang of the gravity defying manoeuvres, but I managed to get a few wobbly twirls in and wow, what a buzz! I felt a bit dizzy at first, but then realised what it was! I’d lost a bit of my Earth gravity, so to speak, and had floated a couple of inches in the air – a little disconcerting at first but now I quite fancy giving up Earth life and trying to walk around Zorb in just the spheres – all that effort getting up in the mornings!
A Tartan Tradition
Next, we landed on the breathtakingly beautiful, and very cold planet, Arcturus VII, a world of snow-capped mountains, shimmering ice plains and glittering lakes – truly stunning! My heart went aflutter, because the locals wore tartan – like kilts but in shocking pink. Talk about stylish! It's fascinating how different cultures embrace ballet in their own way! Apparently, ballet here isn't so much about pointe shoes but is based on expressive leaps and swoops – a bit like high kicking and then stopping mid-air. I mean, the moves are impressive enough with Earth gravity but try leaping in a negative gravitational world! The show ended with a spectacular finale that was straight out of a dream. Imagine a celestial aurora borealis, with the Northern Lights dancing to a whimsical symphony. It was nothing short of breathtaking, a testament to the beauty of artistic expression throughout the galaxy.
Interstellar Shopping Spree
No trip is complete without a little bit of shopping! And believe me, you wouldn't believe the fantastic finds I snagged on Arcturus VII. You know how much I love a good accessory, and well, on this planet, there were beautiful, delicate diamond and pink crystal tiaras that fit perfectly around the top of my space-helmet. (As you can imagine, wearing a full tutu in the spaceship can get a bit awkward, I tend to pack light). The tiara sparkles nicely under the helmet and I even picked up some beautiful glittering planet-shaped pins. Oh, and they have the most exquisite shoes, crafted with intricate woven threads, each strand reflecting the colors of the nebulae that danced across the night sky! They had an ethereal look about them but they are surprisingly practical as well, and surprisingly good on a space ship, especially the ones that need constant adjustments, unlike my helmet which I can easily tuck away in my luggage, thankfully, they've figured out a way to create a stylish visor that doesn’t detract from the tutus in my pictures – a perfect balance, don’t you think?
The Cosmic Ballet Network
Oh, I also made a delightful discovery! There is a vibrant network of ballet studios across the cosmos – a real cosmic ballet family, you might say! Apparently, it all started with the Ballet Federation of Sirius B, a truly inspiring organization that connects all dancers, aspiring and professional, from across the universe! You could call it “cosmic networking” I suppose. I even managed to snag an invite to the annual Andromeda Galaxy Ballet Gala, and I can't wait to witness this spectacular event! I hear there's a legendary star-studded performance by a renowned team of nebular dancers. My little black book, or “Black Galaxy Book” as it has been aptly named, is already filling up with names, with contacts I made in Zorb and Arcturus, just this week! This is great, for, as I’ve often said: "more tutu, more dance" as we used to say in Derbyshire.
Back to Planet Earth
And with that, I must bid farewell for now, dear readers! My spaceship awaits, and I have a plethora of planets to explore. I can’t wait to share my cosmic ballet escapades with you all next Wednesday! And remember, darlings: * spread the pink tutu love and dance your heart out! I can't wait to bring you more intergalactic news! Keep an eye on my website www.pink-tutu.com.
Love and tutus,
Emma
P.S. Keep your eyes peeled for a special “Tutu Tuesdays” where I share my own ballerina inspired outfit photos! Let’s have a fabulous “Pink Tutu World” year together!
