Today's date is 23rd February, 2022, and trust me, I'm not just spinning this date out of thin air (although a twirl would be utterly divine right now!). It's the most marvellous time for ballet enthusiasts on this magnificent sphere, so let's dive in and take a look at what's hot on this fabulous Earth!
Firstly, darling, let's talk ballet classes! I know how much we all adore a good plié, and it's certainly not all about fancy pointe shoes and glamorous galas, as delightful as those may be. Planet Earth's ballet studios are truly flourishing, with such an amazing diversity of classes from beginners to advanced, you’d be mad to miss out! Whether you fancy a classic ballet technique session, or maybe something a little more contemporary like a sassy hip-hop ballet fusion class, Earth's got you covered. Honestly, darling, it’s like the perfect ballet paradise.
Now, for those of you who love a good show, we're spoilt for choice here on Planet Earth, let me tell you. The sheer variety of dance companies is incredible! You’ve got everything from national companies with world-class prestige like the Royal Ballet and The English National Ballet, to local independent dance troupes filled with passionate performers and fresh, exciting creativity. Every night feels like a dance festival!
This week, in the exciting world of earthly dance, there are several shows taking place that you just have to know about.
First up, The Royal Ballet is putting on their incredible staging of Swan Lake! I’ve heard whispers that this particular production is utterly exquisite. The ballet classic's story is as captivating as ever, the music is magical and of course the costumes are breathtaking, with a delicate blend of opulent swan feathers and opulent Victorian grandeur. It’s a guaranteed mesmerising spectacle that’s leaving the dance critics spellbound, and trust me, you’d be a fool to miss it!

I have the best job in the galaxy! Not only am I fortunate to see so many fabulous performances on this amazing Earth, but I get to meet other incredible ballet enthusiasts along the way! Last week, I even bumped into a fabulous space opera performer called Ziggy on Alpha Centauri B! Ziggy's a real dancing star, and his tutus, let me tell you, are phenomenal.
And that’s the beauty of it, darling – the diversity and inclusivity of the pink tutu world is quite simply wonderful. Whether we’re in a glitzy Parisian ballet or on a quaint rural Earth stage, we are united in the pursuit of ballet magic! Let’s talk about this week's look! For a truly cosmic and dramatic look this week, I decided on a shimmering, silvery, sequined tulle tutu that sparkles like the Milky Way. It’s the perfect contrast to my dazzling, ruby-red leotard. And what better finishing touch for a dance-filled week than my dazzling cherry-red velvet cloak and sparkling, ruby earrings? Let’s just say, the fashion here on Earth is absolutely fabulous!
Now, it wouldn’t be a proper pink tutu post without some shopping recommendations, darling! So, I have the perfect little place in mind for all of you celestial dancers and style gurus looking for a sprinkle of sparkle and fabulousness.

But what's even better than picking out a new pink tutu? Shopping with friends, darling! I was delighted to catch up with my delightful Derbyshire bestie, Millie, this week. Millie and I decided on a little retail therapy and went shopping for the most delicious strawberry milkshakes to wash it all down. Let’s just say, we had a wonderfully whimsical time discussing all things tutu-related! We’ve got such fabulous plans for some earthbound and star-bound dance escapades, we’re brimming with inspiration!
