Hello darlings, it's Emma from Pink Tutu World and guess what? I'm back on Planet Earth! It's Wednesday 13th April, which means it's time for my weekly blog post, and let me tell you, I'm overflowing with stories and sequins!
A Universe of Tutu
So, remember how I mentioned in last week's post that I'd be visiting some amazing planetary ballets this month? Well, let's just say itās been an absolute dream, but it wouldnāt be Pink Tutu World if it wasn't full of adventures, glitz and yes, you guessed it - tutus!
Last week I danced among the stardust on Planet Celeste. Now, I've been a tutu-wearing ballerina for years and thought I'd seen it all. Well, Celeste taught me a new dance. It wasnāt like any classical ballet I knew - a celestial, swirling kaleidoscope of movement and light. It was breathtaking. You could say I was dancing amongst the stars!
Then I was whisked away to Planet Aquamarine, which, if I'm honest, felt rather like my childhood dreams of shimmering ocean depths - except all those mythical sea creatures were dancing in stunning shimmering scales and glittering fins, their tails creating underwater waves and a ballet performance more magnificent than any underwater circus imaginable! I was mesmerized, even got caught up in a quick swim with a charming blue jellyfish - a proper fairy-tale moment - who'd ever thought a ballerina could be so at home in the underwater world?!
And, it wouldn't be Pink Tutu World without some serious shopping! On Aquamarine, they have a truly stunning underwater emporium with all manner of magical fin-tastic costumes and shimmery seashell accessories ā perfect for a special, glittering evening ballet, naturally! Just look at these new mermaid scale accessories I picked up!

Now, I'm back on Planet Earth. It's a familiar but magical place, with lots of excitement. And, it seems, there's quite a bit to celebrate. You see, it's a special day for ballet! Did you know that today, on the 13th April, marks the anniversary of Marie Camargoās landmark debut in 1716 at the Paris Opera? A historical ballerina moment worthy of a tutu and some sparkles! It was she, the first of a lineage of great ballerina talents, who defied the conventions of her time. Weāve got so much to be thankful for, not only for her ballet innovation but also for the elegance and joy it continues to bring into the world.
The Power of Tutu-ing Around the World šš
You know, this journey has given me time to think about the amazing potential of tutu. This magical garment. Imagine, a world full of tutus! Pink tutus, red tutus, blue tutus, whatever colour you desire. This could be our next ballet revolution - a tutu movement spreading across planets with every pirouette!
While Iāve been gallivanting around the universe, I haven't forgotten what my mission is: To inspire everyone on Planet Earth (and all planets in the Universe) to dance! And the best way I know is through the magic of the pink tutu! Think of it - we're creating a colourful universe filled with ballerina smiles and whirlwind tutus. Itās an ambition that deserves to be twirled into life, wouldn't you agree?
Sharing the Ballet Magic
As always, thereās more in store! While you're embracing the tutus here on Planet Earth, I'm going to share some ballet moments with you, here and on my social media channels: @PinkTutuWorld! Let's make some magic together!
Upcoming Events
Hereās whatās happening this month - Iām so excited! First up, there's the world-renowned National Ballet Competition on the 20th, then it's straight to London to see the sensational, critically acclaimed, and wildly adored Royal Balletās production of Romeo and Juliet at Covent Garden on the 24th. Just the names themselves sound so dreamy. And after the curtain calls on those shows, weāll have a great time in the grand theatre lobby talking to all the ballerinas, the performers and designers - who doesnāt love a chat with an inspiring tutu? I'll be sure to post all about my experience so you can share in the ballet fun.
But thatās not all, Iām making a special trip to see a delightful new street ballet dance company on the 27th called Dancers United, who are going to be performing in the newly built ballet arena called āThe Spaceā. They say thereās going to be a really interesting and innovative interactive display using light and sound technology which I hear is absolutely dazzling - all with a twist of ballet, Iām ready for something new, what about you?
My Look
Now, who says ballerina outfits aren't fit for everyday life? My dress today? Well, itās all about a tutu fit for any adventure. It's a delicate pink tutu, with the softest silk ruffles and a sparkly iridescent trim - naturally! I'm wearing it with a sparkly baby pink top that compliments my hair. To top it all off - it's all about the shoes - a pair of silver satin pumps! Just perfect for prancing through my blog post, the high street and to ballet shows too.
