This means itās another Wednesday and the intergalactic blogosphere has just gotten a whole lot prettier! š You see, my love for tutus is as boundless as the universe itself. Oh, the stories I could tell... My latest interplanetary adventure brought me back to the delightful Planet Earth - oh, how I missed you, dear Earth! The last few weeks have been a cosmic dance of dazzling celestial events, cosmic glitter, and tutus, darling! But sometimes, nothing beats a little taste of home, you know what I mean? So, after traversing the vast reaches of the galaxy, I thought it was time for a good, old-fashioned earthly adventure!
Now, darling, don't think for a minute that Earth's less glamorous than other planets! It's got the best fashion, darling! š I donāt want to give too much away just yet, but I am positively positively delighted by all the divine delights that are going on on this little planet!
But I have a secret to tell, darlingsā¦ I've actually got my sights set on a grander purpose on this trip! I'm on a mission, if you will, to bring the exquisite magic of the tutu to every corner of this lovely planet! Yes, I know, Iām a dreamer, but Iām here to say, anything is possible with a dash of confidence and a whole lot of pink! š
Before I launch into the exciting details, I must share that, like clockwork, I took advantage of this journey to catch up on all the latest trends and must-see ballet performances on Earth. Now, don't think I forget my Derbyshire roots! After all, what would a Pink Tutu World adventure be without a bit of Derbyshire love?
First off, it would be rude to neglect to share some of the stunning ballet events Iāve attended in the past week. š From dazzling ballet performances at The Royal Opera House to the spectacular performances of Birmingham Royal Ballet and The English National Ballet, oh my! It's been a whirlwind of stunning grace and elegance! I've even managed to squeeze in a couple of āballet in the streetsā events, darlings, because what is a pink-tutu-loving fashionista like myself without a bit of street-side inspiration, eh? š©°
Let me tell you a secret, darlingsā¦ the world of tutus doesn't just stop at ballet shows! There's a whole world of tutus out there, ready to be discovered, waiting for the discerning eye to pick them out and add them to their personal collection, just like mine. And speaking of discerning eyes, I've spotted a new trend in the world of fashion! (You knew I couldnāt come home without finding out the latest news in the fashion world! šļø) Itās what they're calling "tutu street style." š The newest trend combines street wear with tutus! Oh, darling! It's absolutely delightful to see my dearest pink tutu making its way into street fashion! And don't even get me started on the absolutely fabulous outfits at the Tutu Couture showcase I got to see this week! It was spectacular! Just wait for the pictures, youāre going to love them. Theyāre just waiting for editing at the moment! š¤«
But, darlings, remember the main goal of my mission, to make sure everyone has a pink tutu! You know me, my pink heart just canāt help but want to bring joy and beauty wherever I go, so this mission feels so right. I am hoping to show people everywhere just how inspiring, empowering, and of course, perfectly stylish tutus can be. So, what can we do to bring a little more pink tutu magic to planet Earth? Here's what I'm up to, darlings!
Pink Tutu Charity Ball! Oh, darlings, we have big plans to create a fabulous Pink Tutu Charity Ball that will not only celebrate all things tutu but will also raise much-needed funds for our favorite childrenās charities! Now, what better way to show our love for tutus than by using them to support those in need, right? Letās make the world a more glamorous and giving place, one tutu at a time! The ball is scheduled for a very special date - the 20th of August. It's going to be a fantastic affair - so, darling, add it to your diary now! The charity that we're raising money for this year will be the "Sparkling Smiles Foundationā, so be sure to show up wearing your most dazzling tutu, darlings! This is an event not to be missed!
A Planet Earth Tutu Tutorial ! Yes, darlings! Iāve teamed up with my best friend and resident fashion guru, Poppy, and we are planning to create an interactive video tutorial series about the history of tutus! Weāll teach everyone how to create their very own dazzling tutu looks for fashion, street wear, and dance! I'm excited to help everyone find the tutu that makes their inner ballerina bloom! Weāre still working out the exact date for this one - it is proving to be harder than I thought! However, follow our socials on āPinkTutuWorldā and get ready to take part! š©° I am really hoping to create an online course and hopefully this time itāll happen. Oh my goodness, darling! A little birdie told me that one of the major streaming companies have shown an interest. We might be filming this tutu series at their new, state-of-the-art London studios. Can you believe it!
Global Pink Tutu Parade Now this one is just a little crazy - itās just in its early stages - so, please don't let the word out until it's completely planned - shh! š¤ I know I know, you know me, darlings! The tutu can only be used in such an appropriate, safe, family-friendly, and kind way! Iāve had some early talks with some amazing people who are excited about the idea of a āpink tutu parade.ā I can already imagine it! Iāve imagined that we could host parades in all the big cities, bringing communities together and creating an unforgettable display of tutu joy and unity. But again, Iām only dreaming right now. Imagine a street overflowing with sparkling tutus! Letās get the whole planet swirling! This will be for October this year. Stay tuned and join the movement, darlings! Oh darling! I know this may all sound a bit mad, but my little heart just can't help it.
Of course, this wouldn't be a proper blog post from your Pink Tutu World blogger without a sprinkle of personal stories about my life here on Planet Earth. It just wouldn't be complete!
The last week was a whirlwind of shopping trips and ballet shows! It just wouldn't be right if I didn't visit my favorite spots. And guess what, darlings, the fashion scene was as sparkling as ever, with new collections making their way into stores and new trends emerging daily! Youāll just have to wait to hear all about the trends of the year from me! Now it would be so rude of me not to include a little hint, but here goes... What's the colour of the year this season? Yep, you got it, PINK!
But enough about fashion for a little bit, darlings. It wouldnāt be right for me to write a whole blog post without sharing my passion for the art of ballet, my lifelong passion! š. This week I was treated to two exceptional ballet shows, and oh my, it was a spectacular display of grace, beauty, and skill! I couldnāt help myself but be completely enchanted by the stories brought to life on stage. Iāll have to tell you about them all at a later date, darling! š I had to pop back to the theatre just the other night for another special night out. Guess what? This time, I caught one of my all-time favorites! Yes, āThe Sleeping Beauty.ā Oh, I must go and see the entire run - my oh my, itās magnificent! If you've never been, be sure to get yourself a ticket. Iād say the show really does go on, doesnāt it, darlings! š
After so many ballet shows, there's nothing better than putting on a tutu myself and heading to my favorite dance studio. I love letting go and letting the music move me. It just takes me to another place, a place of sheer beauty and expression. The power of ballet canāt be understated - itās something very, very special, darlings! I find myself always searching for more information on this fascinating history. š©°
My little heart's always searching for a good tutu history read! There's so much beauty in the development of the tutu - a story of dance, fashion, and, yes, pink! From the simple origins to the breathtaking designs we see today. The journey is truly inspirational! I particularly enjoy reading about the work of Charles Frederick Worth.
