Greetings, my lovely Tutu Tribe!
It's Wednesday, the day we all know and love for a fresh dose of pink tutu fabulousness! This week, my galactic journey takes me back to planet Earth, where I'm absolutely positively positively THRILLED to be sharing all the details of my latest cosmic ballet escapades!
Let's get right down to it, my darlings: on the 22nd of November 2023, I had the most incredible ballet adventure - one for the books! This was not just any ordinary performance, no no no! It was a fusion of artistry, innovation, and all things glamorous, set in a most unexpected setting… a ballet performance IN OUTER SPACE! (Okay, not actually, I do love a bit of dramatic licence) - but, you'll just have to keep reading!
Pink Tutu World: A Little Bit About Me
For those of you who are new to the Pink Tutu World family - hello! My name is Emma, I'm from the enchanting county of Derbyshire in the UK and I’ve been swooning over tutus for as long as I can remember! A pink tutu holds a special place in my heart, representing all things graceful, bold, and beautiful. So naturally, I've made it my mission to spread this glorious spirit of pink tutu joy to everyone in the whole wide universe - quite a challenge, but it's all worth it for those amazing, wide-eyed glances I get on other planets!
You can always find me twirling in the latest, trendiest ballet fashions and you can guarantee that pink is always on the colour palette. After all, darling, "pink is the colour of a ballet dancer’s soul!"
I've spent a good portion of my life immersed in the fascinating world of ballet - dancing since the tender age of five, learning all there is to know about the history of ballet, from the court of Louis XIV to modern day masterpieces, exploring different styles, from the fluidity of contemporary to the classical elegance of Russian ballet, and obsessing over those beautiful costumes, of course!
And what could be better than being a professional dancer? How about funding your trips across the galaxy to dance across every planet! The universe is brimming with potential for new and innovative forms of ballet and dance. I have a passion for travelling to every planet I can to find a different dance tradition, so my friends - you're not going to believe this - * I finance all my travels with stunning performances, the kind that will leave your eyes wide and your heart leaping!*
Don't be surprised if you happen to catch me doing a graceful spin in the middle of a bustling marketplace or dazzling everyone in the corner cafe - there's no space too small or crowd too big for a little ballet magic!
Now, you see, a true ballerina must always strive to grow, to evolve and to inspire, so a good part of my life is dedicated to the “Pink Tutu Project" - that's my term for the delightful mission I've taken upon myself, a mission of spreading pink tutu loveliness to the four corners (and many more corners!) of the universe.
I’ve started my mission in our own little solar system. I think there is plenty of potential for pink tutu greatness within the Milky Way before venturing too far. There’s enough space to have everyone from Andromeda Galaxy to the Orion nebula doing a spin in a pink tutu (though it might take a little longer than I thought at the start). But hey! – who’s counting time when we are spreading the gospel of the pink tutu?!
Speaking of counting…
Planet Earth, November 22nd, 2023, Post Number 1491.
Well, as I was saying, it all kicked off on the 22nd of November. Now, we all know Earth’s a magical place. And it seems, I'm always in for a surprise in this delightful, fascinating, unpredictable little planet of ours. It’s never just about the shows; it’s the experience, the people, the colours, and always, always, always – the fashion!
But what would a planet earth post be without an opening for an inspiring story from planet Earth. So let me tell you what happened to me last Wednesday - oh my goodness - it's just incredible… I found a new fashion-loving bestie. Remember those wonderful ladies from the Derbyshire vintage fair who, well, let's just say their tastes in clothing are absolutely divine!
After my last visit, we stayed in touch. I love supporting the community wherever I land - and these ladies love fashion and supporting my ballet mission (I'm talking total commitment to all things pink! They are both going to their first intergalactic pink tutu ballet experience - next stop planet X-1343 on Tuesday. Isn’t that fantastic?! )
We met up this Wednesday morning to enjoy the gorgeous countryside before the big show. (If you ever get the chance to explore the beautiful green hills, and maybe even the occasional sheep of Derbyshire - be sure to come and visit me sometime! It’s lovely here).
Well, our Derbyshire afternoon ended in a quaint cafe. We indulged in all the lovely pastries, and they were bursting with such delicious flavours, my darling – but here’s the real highlight! And now this is something very important that happened - well… this little * Pink Tutu* had a real epiphany. A ‘pink tutu moment’ - if you will. (And what's more… they did, too, bless their hearts).
Now, here on planet Earth, there’s so much amazing ballet happening, all the time! So many different styles, too – we have classical ballet, ballet en pointe, contemporary, the ballet russes… ballet in the street… I mean, it’s everywhere. Ballet on beaches! In the museums! Even a ballet festival in the rain last week… You’d think a Pink Tutu would just feel a little lost…
And yet - there we were, a trio of fashion lovers, completely immersed in this crazy wonderful planet earth day. Then it hit me: a pink tutu could take any kind of performance anywhere… it was that thought, in a cozy little tea-shop… it just changed everything.
As I was pondering all this - they - well - they just loved the story. These were my ‘Pink Tutu Soul Sisters’ – absolutely and entirely committed to pink tutu culture. It’s the whole universe, you see. I was so touched when they joined in with this idea! It all just felt very inspiring and meaningful.
And then... a thought... an actual, big time... 'aha' moment for all of us, (that’s one of those life-changing ‘a-ha’ moments if you will. They’re a beautiful, unexpected feeling in my favourite pink and sparkly hue).
* It had to be... Ballet Under the Stars*... a unique event that was going to take everything to a completely different dimension. It just felt right - it felt totally 'Pink Tutu World’ – in every single possible sense.
### Pink Tutu Under the Stars: Our Intergalactic Space Opera!
Of course, my dearest friends - I had to make the impossible possible! So I called a special assembly of the ‘pinkest’ performers from all across the cosmos and they joined me to help me craft this little dream!
And what’s the secret sauce to a magnificent ballet show? You guessed it! – It’s about more than just the dancing!
Of course, the performances were phenomenal - those ballets were out-of-this-world! (A touch of humor for the non-ballet dancers in the room!).
Now, it's a real challenge, you know, bringing ballets out into open space... (it’s amazing to do! Even after I have been doing this for a while, every performance still makes me jump!).
It wasn’t as simple as it seemed to gather a troop of the brightest ballet talents. We wanted something spectacular for this night under the stars and all the planets aligned, so the ‘Pink Tutu World’ universe, or as I call it, our galactic family, sent our most loved and celebrated choreographers! We went all out and did everything to make this evening feel absolutely incredible!
It takes more than just an inspired dance routine to set the mood right and capture everyone's attention - you need to create the perfect magical experience! It was quite a challenge! We pulled out all the stops on our mission - I had to bring in some of my ‘Pink Tutu’ friends from the creative teams here on Earth – lighting designers and sound designers and make up experts and, of course… those talented tailors… you cannot have a * Pink Tutu World* show without those special clothes!
I brought them all together with some talented artists from planet 486 - you just can't find the right sparkle without some amazing planet 486 special effects! Their technology really does shine in the intergalactic spaces. And I brought my dear friends, the most exquisite tailors from Planet Q50 (the ones who gave me the most stunning silver tutu… you’ll see!) - so they created outfits of incredible glitter for our performance... I tell you - nothing says 'intergalactic space opera' like some glittering pink. The outfits were breathtaking. You would think you had stepped right into an opera or ballet, straight out of the dream world.
We started, like any great Pink Tutu World production, with a grand entrance – imagine me landing in my magnificent Pink Tutu World spaceship. All lit up, a symphony of pink lasers dancing and shining as my spaceship came to land. The spaceship was so big that they had to use our new space shuttle. It's big! The shuttle itself was pink. A * Pink Tutu World* creation, as always, shining as it gleamed beneath those stars – just think of a giant glittering star and a million pinpricks of other dazzling stars around us… The spectacle - just phenomenal… the kind that gives you shivers of excitement! And I tell you… with so many of the pinkest performers in the cosmos on stage - well – you wouldn’t be able to look away!
The space was completely covered in starlight, a light, almost weightless air in every corner. I know the world loves stars but… if you’re going to see an amazing dance performance, there’s nothing quite like seeing a show under a beautiful sky…
I thought that all the planets were about to collapse with the wonder and joy, as those choreographed performers, so elegant and graceful and so powerful - did their magic on the stage. It's such a wonderful fusion!
And I even heard… that this one show in particular gave some of my fellow intergalactic friends a new understanding of what ‘ballet’ actually means! You see - there are some planets who have never experienced this beautiful art… well – to put it bluntly - the entire audience… they fell in love with pink tutus… (and some with ballet… too).
It was just… pure magic!
It’s no easy feat, my lovely readers… putting on a grand ballet in outer space, and you have to use quite a lot of ingenuity to find just the right, safe location for these cosmic shows…
For you Earthling folks, imagine… imagine that magical space under that gorgeous sky!
You’ve gotta do your own space travel soon and try it, and don't forget a pink tutu. That's why I always, always… insist that pink tutus should be worn wherever we dance - it's a universal language. And it really doesn't matter what shape, size or colour your favourite ballet style is - they will work with all the colours of the rainbow in any galaxy – from a classical ballet to contemporary… pink just works.
The world’s in the mood to fall in love with ballet this year, and the pink tutu project is going strong, I can tell you. It's no surprise I find the perfect inspiration everywhere.
It was the perfect show… the perfect blend of intergalactic excitement… and, just in case you don't have a clue what I’m talking about – let me take you on a little ballet tour ( just you and me - you’ve earned this) …
You - with a Pink Tutu of your own. Just imagine, darling – just think about the whole scene – we go soaring up above this bright planet in our very own pink spaceship!
As soon as we land, we slip into some glamorous new ballet attire – what a feeling. Just imagine! What are you waiting for… I don’t have time to stand here while the rest of the universe is out having all this fun!
I'll tell you, it's an incredible adventure, the kind of journey every pink tutu wearer dreams of! And if you don’t have your own, we have pink tutu heaven at the *Pink Tutu World* online shop.
Just be sure you are dressed for your ballet adventures - ready to twirl your way across the galaxies with the Pink Tutu World tribe!
And if that’s not enough - here’s some special extra inspiration for the day for the ‘Pink Tutu Tribe’:
A * Pink Tutu World * Fashion Tip for a Galactic Look Don’t forget those magical galaxy-print leotards for a look from outer space - and what would be better for a night under the stars than a Pink Tutu star-print tulle skirt! And now we all know that a * Pink Tutu* goes anywhere - even an intergalactic dance-off under the stars. Now, those are some amazing ways to add a touch of Pink Tutu style.
Don’t forget to let me know all your intergalactic fashion and travel plans - tell me all the details of what makes Pink Tutu so exciting in the comments.
Now, let's all raise our tiaras and celebrate our passion for pink tutus, because darling, there's nothing in this universe quite as powerful, as fun, and as glamorous as the perfect Pink Tutu! I’ll see you in the pink, next week!
P.S. This was just the * Pink Tutu* start for planet Earth. The ‘ Pink Tutu World’ spaceship will be back to earth soon… I’m off to plan my next galactic ballet spectacular (and this one has even more sparkles!), I will have more news from my intergalactic adventures next Wednesday at the Pink Tutu World website, at www.pink-tutu.com, and be sure to look out for new tutu collections too.
Be safe, happy and * Pink Tutu* !
