Pink Tutu World Blog: Post #1499 - Intergalactic Ballet on Planet Earth! šŸ©°šŸŒŽāœØ

Hey darlings! It's Emma here, your resident pink tutu-wearing, space-faring ballerina extraordinaire! šŸ‘‹ This week, I'm back on Planet Earth after an absolutely incredible intergalactic ballet tour. I’m settling back into life on Earth after my intergalactic escapades, but trust me, there's so much to tell you!

As always, my trusty pink tutu travelled with me – I wouldn't dream of leaving it behind. After all, it’s a symbol of my mission to bring a little pink tutu magic to every corner of the universe! šŸ’–šŸš€

This week, on Wednesday, January 17th, my spaceship landed back on Earth with a sparkly bang! Well, actually, it was a fairly gentle landing - I wouldn't want to make a scene in front of all my earthbound fans! šŸ˜‰

After a spot of shopping for new ballet shoes at Harrods - you just can’t resist the fabulous selection of shoes there! - I settled down for a quiet night in. Let’s be honest, intergalactic travel is very glamorous, but tiring! It does, however, take my mind off how many tutus I have crammed into the spaceship. Who knew my hobby was so hard work?!

It's been such an adventure, and I'm so excited to share it with you! Grab your favourite cuppa (mine was Earl Grey, of course!), and let’s dive into this week's interstellar blog post!

A Ballerina’s Guide to Interstellar Ballet:

It's the year 2024. It's been ten years since I made my first big intergalactic breakthrough. The year I turned twenty, a couple of years ago, I found the secret formula: Ballet to fund my intergalactic ballet travel. I know what you're thinking. How does a ballerina fund intergalactic space travel? Well, the secret's out! It’s a top secret combination of: *planetary tours, private ballet lessons for intergalactic elite, and, of course, selling my original ballet tutu designs! There you have it, the answer to your wildest dreams! šŸ’«*

Anyway, back to the blog! It's hard to believe it's only been six weeks since my last Earth post, because it feels like a lifetime ago! It was an absolutely phenomenal experience, a truly galactic ballet adventure. My spaceship journey started off at Heathrow, I went for a quick spin around Derbyshire first, to check on my Mum, Dad, and little brother George. George had just started his first ever ballet class and it made me so proud.

I mean, don’t tell anyone I said this but my dad wanted him to start rugby - like a typical Derbyshire bloke, that’s how they get on the local gossip column. He'd be chuffed to see George's first dance move, as he'd been doing a lot of jumping! Let's face it, I have the dancing genes and now my brother is starting to make his mark, too! He's so naturally graceful, it’s almost scary… šŸ˜‰

After our quick hello to Earth, my ship was off! My first stop was on Jupiter - can you believe it? Imagine, ballet on Jupiter! Who could have dreamed of a spectacle such as that, where it was just a massive purple swirling world? And all we had were two hours, tops, due to that great big giant storm that’s always kicking up. It was breathtaking, darling.

They hadn't seen a pink tutu like mine before! Their clothes, or lack of them, were quite strange, almost nothing at all, just one of those shimmery skin tight bodysuits like they wear on Star Trek! 😜 Let's face it, these aliens are miles behind us Earthlings - their sartorial standards are a disgrace! I’ll definitely need to introduce them to my bespoke tutu line after my next tour!

Of course, there’s not much room for fashion in an oversized planet! Just don’t take this the wrong way, dear readers! They’re really friendly, but they don't really know what fashion is about - all I can say is there’s definitely an issue with colour coordinating on Jupiter. You would be sick. So I got on with a little tutu and dance tutorial and they were loving it. Their culture's quite strange on Jupiter. Their culture has such different ways of viewing the world.

Next up on the planet hopping itinerary was Saturn. Saturn was a revelation for me, just like stepping out of a painting! I must say that the local ā€˜ballet' is so outlandish. They just use that weird atmosphere as a backdrop to bounce around! They don’t even have real ballerinas, darling! You have to look out for little, sparkly blue, alien-things floating about and they called themselves a ballet company, it's so wrong. And I had to explain that we do it a bit differently, in a nice way of course! It took all my patience to show them that real ballerinas, you know, from earth, have a real technique and are actually able to stand up on their own. No bouncing around here! Just think, darling, they haven’t had a chance to really master ballet with a proper ballet teacher yet. A lot of their fashion's inspired by the local insects, which I wouldn’t be caught dead in! That’s definitely something I won't be trying. šŸ˜‰ They were loving the idea of an all-pink ballet outfit. I actually think some of them really did try to copy the Pink Tutu look at one point. I do have to be kind! So that was a real big ā€œno-noā€ - but they all enjoyed themselves in the end, so that's all that really mattered!

Venus:

It really wasn't all so rosy though. My trip to Venus was awful. It was absolutely roasting. Like an oven in summer. All this sunshine on the surface was way too much, it did all go down well in the end - a full moon was in the sky and we got a brilliant show and it looked really good on our photos, but getting the ship there in the first place - oh darling - what a complete nightmare! My dear pink tutu was, in its usual style, shimmering brightly and attracting a bit too much attention! All I heard from my spaceship team was "it's burning. The pink fabric is burning!ā€ I thought my tutu was going to turn to ashes, dear! You really can’t beat a true British tutu. It will get you everywhere, in fact - they nearly turned me back and we didn’t get to do a proper rehearsal either. So disappointing. Anyway, the show did happen in the end and a whole other planet had discovered Pink Tutu! šŸ’ƒ

A Word On Tutus:

Of course, when we’re talking about intergalactic travel, I must mention the tutu. As every ballet girl knows, no outfit is complete without it. A tutu is a symbol of passion and grace - it really is a true representation of my mission, so of course, it comes with me, always. In space, however, you really do have to think out of the box when you’re picking your costume. There’s always a dilemma: What’s suitable? Will it tear on arrival? Will it blend in? Will it get soiled? Or worse still, lost?

Thankfully my Pink Tutu World designs have proven a real hit! They are designed with a lot of sparkle, but even more importantly, durability and resilience! You can’t go out there looking like some kind of delicate, high fashion flower. 😜 It has to withstand the turbulence of my spaceship, and the extreme changes in climate and of course, the hazards of landing on different planets! After all, I can’t spend my time looking for the nearest haberdashery on every new planet that we reach. It’s also hard finding pink material on other planets, it's hard enough as it is to find it on Earth. That's a secret I’ve managed to keep close to my chest for so long. šŸ˜‰

Fashion and Intergalactic Travel:

Well, this isn’t a space travel blog; it’s a fashion blog. So I need to talk about fashion. Every single week it seems to get bigger and better! The intergalactic fashion shows are something else and as for my clothes, let’s just say I am one fabulous traveller.

One of the challenges I find as a traveller is finding stylish outfits for my intergalactic voyages. I’m constantly thinking: what’s the right outfit? What’s the most flattering shade of pink? Will the space suit make it all blend in too much? Does my make-up match? How much do I pack? And how many ballet shoes do I need?! The pressure is on for me, darlings! You are looking at your number one style influencer - no pressure then! You really need to get on your ā€œA-gameā€ and be fashion ready, whatever planet you land on! 😜

I don’t want to sound big-headed, but I know, with the right shoes, anything’s possible - that’s why I pack two ballet shoes for every single show! You’ve heard me say it so many times before. The more ballet shoes I can take with me the better. You can't have too many ballet shoes! You do want to stand out, and make a real style statement, don’t you? So of course, a good tip from yours truly? Don’t be afraid to mix things up a bit! The ultimate tip? Mix colours. Go bold. If you feel good, that radiates out - confidence goes further than anything else in my experience. And if you can’t trust the Pink Tutu World fashion advice, who can you trust?! šŸ˜‰ Don’t take that the wrong way. It’s been a rollercoaster! There's not much space, darling! You want to feel comfy. It's quite hard getting it right!

The Next Mission:

My next mission: to get everyone in the universe wearing a pink tutu! And guess what, I’ve only got eight planets left to tick off my list!

Who knew I’d love this job so much, but you know me, always in a pink tutu. Can't wait to share my future experiences with you. Keep an eye out for new blog posts here on Pink Tutu World - every Wednesday! Don’t forget to send me your stories of dancing, fashion, and travel to pink-tutu.com! šŸ’–

Catch you all next week, darlings.

XOXO

Emma ✨
