Hello, darlings! It’s Emma here, back with another blog post from planet Earth! Can you believe it’s already July? Where does the time go? Well, let me tell you, I’ve been flitting about like a ballerina on sugar plums - between planet Earth, dazzling interstellar destinations, and, of course, my beloved ballet studio!
Today, I'm going to tell you about my trip back to planet Earth! I'm so glad I could get a show in! As you know, I’m funding my galactic adventures with my performances – tutus for the cosmos, you could say.
Back on Planet Earth
The moment my spaceship landed, I knew I was back home! It's that special Earthly scent of fresh grass and rain that does it for me, and of course, nothing beats a proper English cuppa! I couldn't wait to see what planet Earth had been up to. After all, the fashion and dance scene here is always bubbling!
I must tell you about my trip, but before that, let's chat about some events going on in my little corner of the universe...
July 31st - A Very Special Date!
So, you’re asking, Emma, why this particular date, why all the excitement, what’s so special?
You know, every year around this time, our planet celebrates something extraordinary… It’s National [INSERT FUN JULY 31st HOLIDAY]. It’s an amazing holiday, filled with fun traditions, yummy food and – I’m not saying it because it’s me – but, the BEST outfits ever!
The entire planet goes absolutely bonkers over pink and glittery things, and of course, I had to participate. We danced, twirled, sang our hearts out, ate delectable treats and the best part? The planet had this amazing pink glow, oh, it was magical!
This year, it was quite an emotional day. I think everyone needed a little bit of joy after that big cosmic event - I'll tell you all about it in the next blog post! Anyway, I put on my most spectacular pink tutu and my new intergalactic cosmic-sparkle crop top, and off we went to celebrate. It was everything!
I do like a good party and believe me, planet Earth sure knows how to do it!
Now, let's get back to the galactic journey. Shall we?
An Intergalactic Adventure
The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind. We were on Alpha Centauri A and trust me, they were really enjoying their newest fashion trend, their metallic turquoise bodysuits with sequins. So, so beautiful! Then, a couple of weeks after, we were off to a lovely star system on the fringes of the Andromeda galaxy for a little ballet festival – you’ve never seen a galaxy look so beautiful from afar.
Learning from the Stars
You know I am all about bringing a little sparkle into the galaxy, but sometimes, I need to take some inspiration from other galactic cultures. I must tell you, my travels make me a better dancer, and also a better person. I love learning the moves of all these wonderful, creative spaceships of dance forms, it's inspiring, oh it’s beautiful, it’s exhilarating… I always get to learn about new fashion styles, new tutu trends, new ballet techniques from around the galaxy. You see, we’re not just on planet Earth. We are in this immense cosmos together!
I have so many great stories, such incredible discoveries, so much information I can’t wait to share… where to begin!
Let’s rewind.
*My Big News! *
Remember a few blog posts back when I told you I had a special surprise up my sleeve for planet Earth? Well, guess what? I've landed my first contract to dance on a spaceship stage for the annual, cosmic fashion week! That’s right – cosmic fashion week! Imagine a galaxy filled with all the hottest designers in the universe showcasing the most unbelievable galactic trends, like futuristic holographic tutus and glitter dust-filled ballet shoes.
Let me tell you, there was nothing like being in front of the cosmos on that grand, glistening stage.
- There were so many people, there were holographic butterflies, stars, nebulae dancing around them in a vibrant space backdrop and it was so exhilarating! It was such a lovely, kind and supportive crowd! It’s one thing performing on a planet but quite another performing amongst the stars, don’t you think?
- There were all these super fabulous people and you could feel the electricity, you could just feel the buzz, you know? It was the kind of atmosphere where you know the audience is hungry for something amazing and you just have to deliver!
They just LOVED my new number! Let's call it "The Stellar Swirl" - a dance inspired by all the amazing galactic formations I've been seeing. My fellow dancers looked stunning! I have to tell you about it in a separate blog. We even had these space cat singers singing opera from planet Fomalhaut, their meows were just delightful. The spaceship lights and effects, well, just phenomenal, a sight to behold!
Let’s talk fashion, my lovely darlings!
Pink Tutus Throughout the Universe!
What have I discovered this time? Well, the good news is my love of the pink tutu has taken hold! This trend has jumped off planet Earth! You know, they say you only get a few chances in a lifetime for an opportunity like this.
I had been promoting this idea that you should just be you. Express your authentic self. Do it your way! So now there are so many, yes so many different versions, the pink tutu has literally taken off. And now they have so many different types. You want to do it? Just go for it! It’s a fantastic movement! So proud of planet Earth! We have definitely made a fashion statement, across the universe. I’m proud to say, my dear readers, my dream of pink tutus on every planet, every star system, is becoming a reality, a cosmic reality! Oh, what an amazing feeling.
Oh, just one more thing. My little sister in Derby sent me an article in a fashion magazine saying that pink has taken off here. There’s nothing new really, I knew this. My heart fluttered and a small tear rolled down my cheek, it was such a proud moment for me. A tiny piece of our world has spread its wings and has reached out to the universe, it really makes me so happy! And so, my mission for this year? Why to travel even further, and spread the love of pink and glitter even more! What will the next year hold? I have a feeling it will be one to remember.
Oh, don't worry I'll share all the excitement with you as we go! Now, I best get back to preparing for my next trip! Oh! Almost forgot. Keep an eye on the "Pink Tutu World" website this coming Thursday for all the newest fashion trends from our intergalactic travels. And remember: it’s ok to have pink tutus as far as the eye can see!
Until next week, stay sparkly, my dearest readers! And remember… always dance your heart out! Love, Emma!
