Pink Tutu World: Ballet on Planet Earth - Post 1560

Hello darlings!

It's Wednesday, and that means another exciting week has come to a close and it's time for your weekly dose of Pink Tutu World!

This week was all about
well, what else but ballet, tutus, and travel, of course! đŸȘđŸ’« But this time, with a touch of intergalactic glamour!

As you know, my passion for all things pink, tutu-fied, and fabulous is unwavering, and what better way to explore this than through the vastness of space?

So, after a whirlwind of tutu-making, ballet class, and performances across Planet Earth (you all know how much I adore showcasing my artistry in front of an adoring audience), I packed my cosmically pink suitcase, twirled my way onto the space station, and jetted off to...wait for it... Planet Earth! Yes, darlings, this week I went home!

You wouldn't believe the excitement back in my home county of Derbyshire! Everyone, and I mean everyone, was clamouring for a glimpse of their local pink tutu girl returning home, and I felt so very much loved. The Derbyshire folk are wonderful, so warm and down to earth (pun intended!).

Now, a trip home isn't complete without a few quintessential British experiences, so we (yes, I went with my dearest darling mum, who's practically a pink tutu guru herself, always offering the best advice, bless her!), embarked on a fabulous little escapade! Here's the itinerary in all its pink-tastic glory:

The Itinerary

19th March: Arriving in Derbyshire

My return home was truly magical. The moment I touched down at East Midlands Airport, I felt a rush of affection and nostalgia wash over me. I could practically hear the little English fairies sing their welcome home song!

The moment we got out of the car and arrived in Derbyshire, we were met with the most picturesque view. The rolling green hills and charming quaint cottages - it felt so heartwarming and peaceful, a far cry from the shimmering metropolis of planet Xylon!

We checked into a quaint country hotel in the picturesque Peak District, complete with a sprawling garden and a delicious homemade afternoon tea! (Don't even get me started on the scone with jam and clotted cream - swoon!).

20th March: The Royal Ballet in Nottingham

We couldn't stay away from the enchanting world of ballet, could we? After all, it's in my DNA! We headed into Nottingham to see the illustrious Royal Ballet performing Swan Lake! Now, Nottingham, for those of you who haven't visited, is a bustling, historical city bursting with charming pubs and adorable tea rooms. After we settled into our stylish boutique hotel, it was time for a tutu twirl, literally, to The Royal Concert Hall. The performance was breathtaking. Seeing the Royal Ballet dancers leap and twirl, bringing Tchaikovsky's score to life, was such a profound, joyous experience.

Later that evening, we went to one of Nottingham’s most elegant restaurants. You know, sometimes the simplest things are the best, and my choice was to have my favourite, a beautiful lamb chop with seasonal vegetables.

21st March: Derbyshire Museums

We woke up to a morning brimming with sunshine, so my darling mum and I went on an adventure to explore the beauty and history of the local area!

Our first stop was the breathtaking Chatsworth House, a sprawling stately home steeped in history, with a sprawling garden where the iconic Chatsworth Flower Show happens every year (although it was sadly too early this year). But let me tell you, darlings, that house has one of the most impressive art collections you'll ever encounter! It’s so regal, with grand staircases, intricate dĂ©cor, and elegant artwork from the likes of Rembrandt, Rubens, and even Canaletto.

Afterwards, we enjoyed a lunch at the local market, stopping by to say hello to some of the locals and indulge in the freshest produce Derbyshire had to offer! (It has to be said, those Derbyshire pies are heavenly).

Our last stop on this historic tour was the charming town of Bakewell, the home of the famed Bakewell Tart. We enjoyed tea and the local sweet treat - definitely worth the visit, darlings, it's a treat to savour.

22nd March: The World of Shopping!

Of course, any trip home would be incomplete without a bit of shopping. I spent the afternoon browsing at Nottingham's shopping arcades and discovered a hidden gem - a charming vintage shop filled with fabulous, retro-inspired pieces.

I've got to say, though, shopping in England is quite different from what I experience in some of the other galaxy stores! The atmosphere is much more relaxed and the sales ladies were all delightful, providing personal tips and suggestions with smiles.

23rd March: Family Fun & The Ballet Shoe Workshop

There's something truly magical about visiting family. My dear nephew, James, is a total darling - always eager to learn a new ballet move. He was a very quick study and it wasn’t long until he was twirling across my kitchen with his tiny little shoes and a sweet pink tutu I picked out for him. I made him a promise that the next time I visit, we'll learn more ballet together - maybe even he can join me in a performance!

The day was also full of laughs, cuddles, and, of course, more delectable home-cooked food. It was a feast of culinary delights! I even managed to convince my family to wear pink tutus! đŸ©° They look fantastic!

However, the most important thing I did was take the time to give my ballet shoes some TLC! You see, a ballet shoe’s life is not always an easy one, but with a good clean and some fresh tape, they are good to go for another whirl or two!

And for the big finish to my week, I took part in a fantastic ballet shoe workshop! It was so inspiring to learn new tips and tricks for keeping those shoes in tip-top condition. It's an art form of its own, darlings. Believe me! I'll be sure to share some of the secrets with you soon in a separate blog post.

24th March: Departing with a Tutu Twirl

All too soon, it was time to bid farewell to Derbyshire. After a quick cuppa with my dearest mum and nephew (it's a British thing, you know), I boarded the spaceship, a touch melancholy but buzzing with new memories, ready to bring those Derbyshire vibes and the essence of England’s delightful spirit to all the galaxies I’m going to be visiting.

My last goodbye was done with a big ol' smile and a grand tutu twirl - because a pink tutu makes every occasion, even leaving, more exciting.

And, darlings, guess what?! There are some big plans coming soon for Pink Tutu World. We’re going to be collaborating with an exciting fashion brand. (I'm keeping my lips sealed about the details - I don’t want to spoil the surprise - but let's just say, pink is the new black in the universe!).

I hope this week’s blog has inspired you to spread your wings, chase your dreams, and twirl your way into a little bit of pink happiness.

Until next week, keep dancing and keep your tutus pink!

Love,

Emma đŸ©°đŸ’•
