This week, darling, we're embracing the delights of Derbyshire, a county with so many quaint villages and hidden gems. Did you know that Derbyshire is where the legendary dance hall, the Palais de Danse, was once found? Ah, a true testament to the power of movement and music! I’ve actually found myself pirouette-ing and plié-ing my way through the lovely fields of Bakewell – such an idyllic spot for some al fresco ballet! The gentle breeze rustling through the leaves sounded like a delicate flute solo and the sheep…well, they practically seemed to be applauding my graceful movements!
Let’s chat tutu history!
Now, I'm sure you're wondering about this week's tutu inspiration! Well, let me tell you, it's a real show-stopper! It's a gorgeous silk creation in the softest shade of lavender – think a dreamy sunset over a Cotswold village. I've even added a shimmering crystal trim to make it absolutely divine. Did you know, my lovely readers, that tutus have evolved throughout history, going from stiff and bulky to the ethereal creations we see today? And can you believe, it wasn't until the 1800s that they started appearing in the iconic ballet form we adore! I could talk about tutu history all day long - it's just so fascinating!
Speaking of history, how much are we loving 2025?! This year is practically brimming with fabulous events – and I am absolutely thrilled to be here, experiencing them all. From international ballet competitions showcasing the future of our dance world to exclusive theatrical premiers that are taking everyone by storm…oh my! The art and fashion scene here on Earth has been exploding lately and it's so inspiring! I think the cosmic winds are definitely pushing everyone to dance more and shine brighter!
What is happening this week?
Now, speaking of all things dazzling, darling, let’s delve into the grand festivities happening on Earth today - it’s Wednesday, 23rd April! There's a magnificent theatrical premiere in London – a lavish new production of "Swan Lake" featuring stunning costumes and breathtaking choreography. The press is already calling it a masterpiece, and trust me, I’m all about masterpieces! 🩰
Oh, but the excitement doesn't stop there! Tonight, I'll be enjoying an enchanting ballet class right here in Derbyshire, where the rolling hills inspire some of the most fluid moves I've ever seen. After class, I'll be joining some local artisans at a bustling farmers' market for a delicious supper - they are simply divine! I am so lucky to be here in this beautiful county.
Pink tutu planet - our mission!
This whole trip is all about our little secret mission – the “pink tutu revolution"! Remember, our goal is to bring the pink tutu to every corner of the galaxy, spreading its vibrant beauty and graceful message of joy. Who could possibly resist a pink tutu? And who could say no to a splash of sunshine in their day? My favourite moment this week was spotting a group of local dancers wearing vibrant pink tutus in the Bakewell park. That, my dear friends, is what we’re all about.
And yes, you read that right, it’s all financed through my dazzling ballet performances! Imagine, darling, performing for a spaceship full of aliens, all ready to witness my twirls! Talk about a glamorous side-hustle, right?!
Of course, it's not all about work and ballet, though! After a day of tutus and performances, I like nothing more than settling down with a cup of hot chocolate and reading about the latest fashion trends - because yes, fashion is a big part of this journey! I find a great deal of inspiration from earthly trends!
But darling, you simply must try this new smoothie recipe!
- One cup of frozen berries
- A small handful of spinach
- 1/2 cup of plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup of milk
- A pinch of honey (optional, but always a delicious addition!)
- And a drizzle of raspberry sauce – for an extra pink-tastic touch!
Simply blend these ingredients in your favourite blender for about a minute, until smooth and creamy, and enjoy your delightful pink smoothie!
