Pink Tutu World: Ballet on Planet Earth (Blog Post #1577)

Wednesday 16th July 2025

Hello, my lovely tutu-loving readers! It's your girl, Emma, back from a whirlwind tour of the galaxy and ready to spill all the cosmic tea.

This week's post is all about my latest intergalactic adventure, landing right here back on Planet Earth! You know, there's nothing quite like stepping off a spaceship after a few weeks in deep space, breathing in that fresh, Earthly air, and feeling that glorious tickle of home on my toes. And yes, my fellow tutudictionaries, I was still twirling in my favourite bubblegum pink tulle creation, naturally!

So, you might be wondering, where exactly did my cosmic adventures take me this time? Well, this week I took a trip to the utterly charming planet of Gliese 667Cc. Oh my, this little jewel of a planet is something else. You've got to see it to believe it – it's like a vibrant, swirling explosion of colour!

But, first things first: fashion! As you know, my style mantra is "life's too short for boring outfits," especially when you're exploring the cosmos. For my trip to Gliese 667Cc, I went all out. Imagine, my dears, a shimmering pink tulle tutu adorned with holographic sequins, catching the light from the nearby crimson-coloured star. Topped off with a lavender space-age crop top that was almost as glitzy as a nebula and some chic sparkly holographic boots with platforms. I mean, it’s a look!

I've gotta tell you, the Gleisens have a fantastic sense of style, they absolutely love bright colours! On this particular planet, every day is like a fashion runway. Just be prepared to see some bold combinations: lime green skirts with cerulean blouses and scarlet headbands. Think '60s mod, meets disco, meets space age - it’s bonkers but in the best way. I have to admit I was tempted to steal some outfits – I think those glittery crop tops could become staples for the rest of my space travel journey.

Gliese 667Cc is renowned for its ballet culture - a truly spectacular sight! The Gleisens perform on stage using gravity defying aerial dance techniques that take choreographic movements to the next level, and honestly? The whole thing was mind-blowing. This intergalactic ballet has got me re-thinking how I move in space – perhaps more swirling, and a whole lot less gravity defying for me at least!

Now, I can't possibly mention space travel without talking about food. Gleisens are amazing cooks - they have a talent for creating edible space oddities like blue cheese-stuffed galactic star fruits and glow-in-the-dark fruit cocktails (which have a distinctly cherry flavour). They've convinced me to try some weird, and wonderful things during this visit. And, no matter what they call it, a fluffy space cake with rainbow sprinkles will always get my attention!

Oh, I have so much more to share with you! It's almost midnight here on Planet Earth, and my blog is begging me to tell you more, but I'm already exceeding my word count for this week!

Keep an eye out on www.pink-tutu.com next Wednesday for more interstellar gossip about the amazing Gliese 667Cc – you’re going to want to get ready for some cosmic fashion, food and ballet delights!

Remember, you don't need a spaceship to travel the galaxy - just a heart filled with wonder, and, of course, a fabulous pink tutu!

Sending you love and glitter dust from the Milky Way,

Emma xx

P.S. If you're on Earth this Saturday, do yourself a favour and head down to your local theatre. We're hosting a "Pink Tutu Spectacular!" for this weekend’s ballet performance – everyone's wearing pink tutus! Think “Derbyshire Ballet and Fashion in Pink,” if you like! This year, my home planet’s famous Derbyshire dancers are stepping out in new glitzy, glamorous outfits and of course I'm creating some amazing pieces, too. Come and get some fabulous, fashion and inspiration, for our show is the perfect opportunity to tap into your inner dancer and unleash your best pink tutu fashion!

I can't wait to see you all there!
