#PinkTutuWorld Ballet on Planet Earth on 2025-09-10

Hello, darling! It's Emma here, back from my latest whirlwind adventure! Can you believe it? This week I'm back on dear old Planet Earth, writing this from my quaint little cottage in Derbyshire (which is currently looking incredibly chic thanks to my new rose-gold tutu-inspired wallpaper – more on that later!).

You know I always try to spice things up, and this week's adventure has me positively giddy! This week saw my journey taking me across the vast cosmic expanse to the breathtaking Planet Earth, specifically for a once-in-a-lifetime event: The prestigious International Ballet Symposium on the History of Tutus! Oh, it was positively magnifique!

After an exhilarating intergalactic flight aboard the Stardust Express, we arrived on Planet Earth on the 10th September 2025, landing at the iconic and utterly fabulous Spaceport London, a place I must say is just brimming with the most delightful space-age fashion.

From there, we took a sleek and streamlined hyper-train to a dazzling location nestled in the heart of Derbyshire – the Tutu and Toile Gallery, a haven for all things sartorial and beautifully curated with an incredible collection of historical ballet costumes! I almost fainted at the sight of a Marie Taglioni tutu – I mean, you just had to see its sheer delicacy and perfect execution. I’d love to recreate a design based on it for a future collection.

Now, the International Ballet Symposium was something else altogether. There were so many eminent tutuologists – brilliant minds all gathered to discuss the history of this beautiful, elegant garment. From the 16th century's elegant bell robes, to the revolutionary Romantic tutu – all meticulously detailed and dissected! We heard talks on how tutus transformed through different eras and cultures. It was like stepping through the annals of dance history, and the intellectual discourse was frankly, a total delight.

Of course, what's a visit to Earth without some serious shopping? I was absolutely delighted to find the Cosmic Tutu shop on London's iconic Oxford Street. Their selection was exquisite, darling! I scooped up several glorious, oh-so-sparkly creations - I can't wait to try them out at the next intergalactic ballet competition! (There’s always something going on, you know. Space ballet is very popular and is such a blast to participate in!).

As usual, my visit wouldn't be complete without a theatrical ballet performance! I had to catch the The Tutus of Times Gone By – an absolutely brilliant spectacle at the grand Covent Garden. I could not believe it when I recognised my pink feather boa in one of the costumes, from last year's collection. Oh, how delightful! It just goes to show that anything is possible with the right sparkle and a little je ne sais quoi.

While I'm always so happy to immerse myself in the cultural richness of other planets, there's nothing like the warm, friendly atmosphere of dear old Planet Earth. And, you know, you simply must be delighted by the way the humans here have embraced the "Pink Tutu Revolution!" Everywhere you look there are adorable people dancing, skipping, twirling – you name it! They’ve really been spreading the tutu gospel!

I am beyond thrilled at the progress made towards achieving my universal tutu dream! The human species – always eager to express themselves - are making an excellent effort! It's truly inspiring to see how the spirit of grace and creativity can shine through regardless of size, shape or cultural background.
