Pink Tutu World: Post #1616 - Ballet on Planet Earth (2026-04-15)

Hello, darling readers, and welcome back to Pink Tutu World! This week, I'm writing from good old Planet Earth, after a whirlwind of galactic travel. I’ve always said, “If life gives you tutus, wear them and wear them with pride!”

Oh, the things you get to see and do in the universe! So, I'm here in Derby, my home town, with my dearest Mum. A cheeky week at the family home just doing ordinary Earthly things – a right cuppa tea in a teapot, Mum's lovely roast dinners with her home-made Yorkshire puddings, shopping, theatre, and a spot of ballet. Of course, my gorgeous pink tutu always gets taken out of its sparkly, velvet tutu box for such occasions. Sometimes it feels like a world away from my daily life exploring new planets, meeting aliens and trying on intergalactic fashion. But there's no place like home, eh?!

You might think “ballet, Earth, shopping!” isn’t as exciting as my space adventures, but there’s no denying a dose of Earthly goodness does a soul good. There's something very grounding and heartwarming about being on a planet where they do real roast potatoes, where you can still get those divine raspberry and cream macarons (still one of my faves, darling!), and of course, where we find the very finest in fashion - and where people know how to put on a proper ballet show!

Anyway, speaking of proper ballet shows, that brings me nicely to my mission this week… A big one, you know, as it's my job, mission, life purpose... I can never quite choose which word suits it best... but it involves, you guessed it... Pink Tutu!

Right, here's the lowdown. I’m hosting a “Tutu Extravaganza” in the city for charity, as part of the “Pink Tutu Goes Global” movement - trying to get people to ditch their ordinary clothes for a little pink twirl! It’s an event to promote kindness, community and positivity… all whilst wearing a pretty, frilly, fabulous pink tutu! Now, this might sound ridiculous but we can all use a little fun, eh?

So far, things are shaping up brilliantly. The stage at the local theatre has been transformed into a sparkly pink paradise (the team here are truly fab), and they’re selling ‘Pink Tutu World’ merchandise: think tutus, badges, tees, mugs and other assorted sparkly, frilly treats for our charity, of course. It’s been amazing seeing all the community coming together - they’ve really outdone themselves in Derby this week - the spirit is so lovely. It’s given me ideas about setting up the same in other galactic communities - why not? Everyone can benefit from a dose of “Pink Tutu World!” Even aliens need some fashion in their lives - especially pink tutus, I think!

*The Tutu Extravaganza… *

Friday Night: We kick off this whole “Tutu Extravaganza” shebang on Friday, 2026-04-18 with a “Ballet on Broadway” show – the most magnificent production here in the city - we have a fabulous mix of seasoned professionals and amateur ballerinas from all over the county – all decked out in glorious, shimmery pink tutus! Of course, I’m leading the whole ensemble! (Cue my fabulous costume, sparkling like a million little pink diamonds)

I have been teaching them all this week (no mean feat when dealing with Earth-lings!… oh how I love my aliens and their quick-witted learning styles!) - and it has been so, so much fun, getting them all in shape for the show! But my dancers - the professionals, that is - are fabulous, you see, and all totally on-board with this “Pink Tutu Goes Global” mission. They love the cause - so much so they've even decided to donate all the profits from the event to our local animal shelter!

On Friday, we have the "Ballet on Broadway" – that’s 10 acts in total, showcasing all sorts of beautiful, ballet dance styles – including an all-girl, “Tutu Twist" of classical numbers like ‘Swan Lake,’ ‘Coppelia,’ ‘Sleeping Beauty’ and ‘Giselle’ with a sprinkle of fun, creative numbers to throw in the mix - all set to some beautiful, iconic musical scores from the movies. It will be one fab show for all!

Saturday Morning: I have to get ready for a little fashion and costume parade for a group of ‘tweenie girls’ - we're making a fashion line to raise money for local charities and animal shelters here, you know? It's all part of my plan to get everyone to ditch their normal clothes and dress up! So the ‘Tweenies will be modelling the designs I have sketched - all ‘Pink Tutu World’ inspired - naturally! - a fab tutu with frilly sleeves, maybe, or perhaps a fun, bouncy tulle skirt teamed with a matching tee. We'll be launching them on my online shop: www.pink-tutu.com (It's amazing, by the way... do check it out!)

Saturday Night: Now for the main event, the big party at the city hall - we’re holding a ‘Pink Tutu Gala Ball.’ It's a huge bash - think hundreds of glamorous folks, fancy dancing, and fabulous tutus of all sizes, shapes and styles. We're also showing the “Tutu Goes Global” short film for everyone to get their ‘Pink Tutu’ groove on!

Oh, I nearly forgot, the most gorgeous fashion designer is flying over from Paris especially for the gala (and no, it’s not a plane - it's his spaceship - quite something - he said he wanted to fly in with a big, pink ribbon attached to the outside! I told him I'd think it over - maybe it is a bit OTT...) anyway… it is all so fabulous! I must dash - I’m due in a costume meeting! I promise you - I’ll share the results of my mission with you next week. Till then, keep it fun, keep it fashionable, keep it fabulous, darling readers and remember… Pink tutus… They are so divine, it’s an absolute no-brainer! And just look out for a pink-tutu-clad alien taking over your local city soon…

Hugs and tutus, Emma x x

On this day, 2026-04-15:

As mentioned above, Emma is busy getting ready for her charity event. She has been working non-stop - a ballet mistress, fundraiser and designer in one! Emma is up before the crack of dawn each morning in a fabulously-feathered bedrobe - with a matching fluffy slipper to keep her little toes warm, of course - and sipping her daily dose of vitamin C juice with a tiny sugar cube dropped in (only the good sugar, mind!).

On this very special day she is rushing to get her dancers, her fashion students and all the tutu extras in their final rehearsals, whilst trying on dresses, picking shoes, sketching designs and finding just the right pink flowers for the gala ball. It's definitely all hands on deck!

As if she didn't have enough to be doing she has a special guest staying with her, too, and they're taking time out for their favourite pastime... shopping, darling! A visit to Emma's local fashion market to source unique tutu fabrics for her own ‘Pink Tutu’ collections is a real treat. They’ve bought out a load of sparkling pinks, sequins and frills for the next collection. And of course, there are many, many purchases of pink items from the shopkeepers... all in the name of the Pink Tutu cause!

This week’s hot new pink tutu trend - on Planet Earth...

So, I mentioned that Emma’s travelling to Earth has inspired a lot of ‘pink tutu love’ - especially as everyone knows her online and there are big fans all over the world. But, being a fashionable galactic lady of refined style and taste, Emma’s also had an impact on fashion, darling!

A quick check online reveals it’s all about "Pink Power" in the ‘Ballet & Fashion’ blogosphere. Here are the most common key search phrases being used:

  • Pink tulle skirts and dresses (especially paired with colourful, sparkly tees and cardies).
  • "The ‘Pink Tutu’ look (fashion designers are having a blast recreating the ballerina aesthetic.)
  • "Rainbow-hued pinks," "sparkly pinks", "iridescent pinks".
  • Pink velvet, pink glitter, pink chiffon, and metallic pink tutus, shoes and other pink-tastic accessories - especially when paired with pastel blue - it's the perfect colour combo!

Of course, you can also find some ‘Pink Tutu World’ t-shirts and jumpers (look out for a cute little 'Pink Tutu' cartoon character wearing a cute little pink beret, you know.)

You will find these in the major chain stores here on Planet Earth, but check out some independent retailers - you’ll find more ‘quirky, chic' designs and pieces that have Emma's distinctive flair!

The pink tutu is really hitting the headlines, darling, - especially with celebrity stars. The latest pop singer even turned up for a concert wearing one on a big pink platform - a real style statement for the modern-day lady... all with thanks to my amazing ‘Pink Tutu’ campaign, naturally.

But, you’ll find pink tutus, in all their beauty, not only in Earth's big fashion cities but in the smaller, more intimate towns too... I see them in every department store window... even the humble petrol station garage... and on bus shelters! There’s really no escaping this global 'Pink Tutu' trend... it's quite fantastic... really... and very exciting for my cause!

*You go, girl! “Pink Tutu World,” is here, it's now, and it's certainly taking the universe by storm - even here, on dear old Planet Earth. I have the ultimate, fun-tastic dream, darling. It’s all about spreading positivity and glitter - and with the ‘Pink Tutu’ mission I hope that happens all over the Universe. What else, eh? Why wear boring, old clothes when you could wear a beautiful, glamorous pink tutu?! *

I do hope this little glimpse into the magical world of ‘Pink Tutu’ has inspired you, my dears… Next week I’m in London to do a spot of ballets (there are some fab ballet companies there – they love a bit of ‘Pink Tutu’ too) but most importantly, we are holding the 'Tutu Fashion Extravaganza' ... So join us for a pink tutu filled week. It's going to be amazing - stay tuned...

See you all next week for #Post 1617! And please remember… Pink tutus are divine, so… wear them with pride, darling. It’s an absolute no-brainer…

xx
