Post #1624: Tutu-tastic Adventures in the Cosmos! 🪐🌸

Hiya lovelies! 👋 Emma here, back from another intergalactic escapade and buzzing to share my latest adventure with you! 💖 It’s Wednesday, so you know what that means… it’s Pink Tutu time! 🩰

This week, I'm whisking you all away to the vibrant world of ballet, style, and stellar voyages! Buckle up your tutu straps, babes, because we’re taking off to Planet Earth for a real adventure! 🌎🚀

So, as many of you know, I live my life in a perpetual state of tututitude. It’s not just about the dance, although, don’t get me wrong, I adore ballet. It’s about expressing yourself, channeling your inner diva, and embracing all that glitters. ✨

Now, back on planet Earth, June 10th 2026, will see me gracing the stage of the iconic Royal Opera House in London. Talk about a dream come true! 🥰 I’m beyond thrilled to be performing with the world-renowned Royal Ballet - I’ve been a fan since I was a little ballerina-in-training back in Derbyshire!

This particular performance is extra special. You see, it’s a reimagined staging of the timeless classic Swan Lake. Not your typical black swan/white swan scenario, though. This production will be bursting with pink! 💖 The dancers will be sporting specially designed, uber-sparkly tutus, and the entire set will be bathed in a soft, magical pink glow.

Think delicate ballet steps, twirling tulle, and the ethereal grace of a swan - all amplified by the sheer power of pink! 💕 It's going to be a magical spectacle, guaranteed to have you reaching for your own tutu and leaping for joy.

Tutu History

But it’s not just about the dance. I’m also utterly obsessed with tutu history. Did you know that tutus, those whimsical wonders, weren’t always a mainstay in the ballet world? They’ve come a long way since their humble beginnings! In the 18th century, the dancers just wore long skirts, kinda bulky for pirouettes and all! 😮

Then, came along Marie Taglioni - a real legend! This revolutionary ballerina wanted a more graceful and flowing style of dance. So, she and her costumer created the first short tulle tutu! 💃 Talk about a game changer! That groundbreaking piece paved the way for the iconic, tutu designs we see today, from the Romanticism-era wispy tutu to the 19th-century classical tutu we all adore. And of course, there’s nothing like a modern-day designer tutu with its innovative patterns, vibrant colours, and oh-so-dramatic flare! 🤩

Fashionista Adventures on Planet Earth

As I always do before any big performance, I’ll be embarking on a shopping spree, naturally! The planet Earth has some of the most amazing shops! 🛍️ Just imagine, endless rows of glittering fabric, the soft rustle of silk, and the vibrant colours of satin, it’s a dream come true! 😍

You just gotta know what shops to check out for the best tutu finds. I’ve found my favourites right here on planet Earth! My favourite boutique, Ruby's in Soho, London is an absolute treasure trove. It has a vibrant collection of sparkly and fun designs that make every ballerina’s heart skip a beat! 🥰 They even have these gorgeous sequined tutus! You bet I’ll be buying a few new ones to take with me.

Then there's Lace & Twirl, tucked away in a cute cobblestone street in Notting Hill. It's like stepping into a vintage fairytale! ✨ They have some seriously special one-of-a-kind tutus made with the most intricate details - you’d think you're wearing a piece of art! 🎨 And for that classic look, I always check out Dance & Dream in Covent Garden. It has the perfect blend of elegance and traditional flair.

My Spaceship and Planet Earth

After a few days in London, I’m hopping on my spaceship, the Pink Galaxy! (She's an absolute beauty, covered in pink sequins, you guys should see her! ✨) I’m off to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Yorkshire! This part of England is famed for its stunning, rolling hills and charming villages, the perfect place to unwind and recharge before heading back out into the cosmos.

On a side note, I just love travelling by spaceship! There’s a certain freedom to zipping across the cosmos at supersonic speeds, a true cosmic joyride! It’s amazing to see Earth from above – the different continents, the blue oceans and the clouds... so picturesque! 💙 And it gives me such an appreciation for how vast the universe is, reminding me to embrace all its beauty.

Of course, all this galactic touring has to be funded. You’d be surprised at how much energy it takes to keep a pink tutu spinning, let alone explore the entire universe. I’m funding my adventures by, you guessed it, performing my heart out at spectacular shows! 😍 I recently landed a role in a dazzling production of The Nutcracker at New York City Center – talk about a glamorous trip! I got to experience the holiday season in all its magical splendor, from the glittering trees to the decadent treats. It was just pure fun!

Pink Tutu Goals: World Domination (in the most loving way!)

I gotta tell you guys, my dream is to see everyone wearing a pink tutu, across the universe! 🌎💕 That’s right, I believe in the power of pink, the magic of twirling, and the sheer joy of expressing ourselves!

Sure, some people may find the idea a little wild, but why not bring some sparkle and joy into our daily lives?

And believe me, wearing a pink tutu will open doors to adventures you wouldn’t believe. Trust me, I know! 💕

Now, I’m off to explore another galaxy – stay tuned for more space travel tales! Until next Wednesday, darling!

Love always,

Emma xx

P.P.S. If you are in London for the Royal Ballet show, let me know and we can catch up for a dance, or a little pink tea, or perhaps some shopping… after all, who can resist a sparkly new tutu? 😉 💖
