Hello my lovelies! 💖✨
It's Emma here, your favourite pink tutu wearing, cosmically curious ballerina, and I'm back from an out-of-this-world adventure, straight from Planet Earth to my keyboard! I can hardly contain my excitement because it's Wednesday, which means a brand-new post for my little corner of the internet: www.pink-tutu.com. This week is extra special as we are celebrating the most fabulous, enchanting, and utterly girly day of the year: 2027-12-08, the day I launched the first ever intergalactic Ballet performance on Earth! 🩰🚀
But before we dive into that dazzling spectacle, let's rewind for a moment to my home, Derbyshire, England. Yes, my journey to the stars began in the most down-to-earth way imaginable! Imagine this: I’m standing in my little flat, surrounded by a glorious mountain of tulle – pinks of all shades, of course – planning the choreography for my next Earth ballet performance. A flash of pink across my monitor catches my eye – an email from Intergalactic Events, inviting me to participate in an intergalactic extravaganza on... Planet Earth! Now, I know what you’re thinking: "Emma, a ballerina in space?" I practically tripped over my own pointe shoes in shock, but as I reread the invitation, it felt more real.
They wanted me to put on a ballet performance for aliens on Earth, during their annual ‘Universal Peace Day!’ Could you imagine anything more fun and fabulous?! They promised to make sure my dance was truly out-of-this-world by providing the ultimate space-age stage and lighting effects, but... there was one tiny snag: they didn’t have a choreographer… or any tutu designs, for that matter! Cue dramatic music and Emma the cosmic tutu queen to the rescue!
I had never performed in front of a universal audience before, but I have always been one to jump at opportunities, especially those that involve dancing, pink, and shimmering tutus! Plus, the fact that the aliens wanted me to be in charge of the choreography meant I had absolute creative freedom! Let me tell you, designing the ‘Universal Peace Day’ ballet choreography was magical. We mixed ballet classics with movements inspired by cosmic wonder, celestial beings, and... a bit of pink tutu flare! I even incorporated elements from traditional alien dances, carefully researched from the galactic internet, to add that touch of intergalactic enchantment.
It wasn't just the performance that was breathtaking – my wardrobe was just as epic! Imagine sparkling tutus designed with space-age fabrics that changed colours according to my movements! My favourite? It was an absolute showstopper - a hologram-style tutu with a giant iridescent pink nebula design that shimmered and changed patterns with every turn! The costumes, hair, makeup, and stage sets all blended seamlessly to create a symphony of celestial beauty.
Now, to the main event – the Universal Peace Day itself! The aliens were absolutely charming! You'd think it would be terrifying performing in front of creatures from different planets, but they were surprisingly similar to us Earthlings, especially in their enthusiasm for the beauty of ballet. They loved my performance! It truly felt like the whole universe held its breath as I floated gracefully, swirling like a comet through space, my tutu a beacon of celestial joy. The standing ovation lasted for what felt like hours, but it was truly the perfect ending to such a phenomenal experience.
The best part of my cosmic ballet journey, though? I convinced the entire crowd to embrace the power of pink! I wore my signature pink tutus with pride throughout the entire performance, and by the time I finished, even the greys, the blues, and the greens were rocking shades of pink. There's just something so wonderfully magical and universal about pink, wouldn't you agree? 💖
Now, onto what I'm loving on Planet Earth:
I'm currently immersed in a world of delightful dance. This weekend I am attending the annual ‘Tutu Fair’, the largest event dedicated to tutu fashion on Earth. Imagine every style and shade imaginable! It’s going to be absolute bliss!
If you’re looking for a truly out-of-this-world experience, make sure to book tickets to 'Alice in Wonderland, on Ice!' at the London Royal Theatre. I saw a sneak preview last week, and it is magical!
Of course, I'm always looking for fabulous places to buy new tutus, so if you know of any, please let me know!
And before I go, don't forget to visit www.pink-tutu.com for exclusive pink-tutu content, including the latest in ballet news, reviews of my favourite stores and theatres, and all things tutus! And while you’re at it, you can browse through my online shop! I have an incredible collection of limited edition, ethically made tutus for sale - a few of them even feature a special "Universal Peace Day" design.
Love, tutus, and a whole lot of pink!💖
