Hello darlings! 🩰✨ Welcome back to Pink Tutu World! It's Wednesday, which means a new blog post for you, straight from yours truly, Emma. It’s such a thrill to be writing to you today from the most magical planet – guess where? That’s right! Earth! Earth! I just love popping back to my home planet, the one that gave me a passion for tutus as deep as the cosmos itself! 🌎
Before we start chatting about this dazzling visit, just a reminder, I post new entries on this little blog every Wednesday. Be sure to check in at www.pink-tutu.com to keep up to date with all my cosmic escapades! Now, back to Earth – the land where it all began…
I landed back in my little hometown in Derbyshire yesterday. It feels SO good to be home! Nothing beats the feeling of the crisp air against your cheek, especially after all those journeys across the Milky Way! Speaking of journeys, I actually travelled here in my little spaceship this time. It was just perfect for a solo journey across the cosmos, even if I do prefer my cosmic-cruiser for long intergalactic journeys with all the mod-cons! 💫 Oh, by the way, for all you lovely Earthlings wanting to know, I managed to secure a sweet deal on a special galactic shuttle pass last month - such a bargain, I tell you! It even came with complimentary refreshments on my intergalactic cruise - an endless supply of those little space-biscuits! 😋
I have been completely mesmerised by Earth since I arrived – it’s all so beautiful. Even the little things like seeing a friendly old lady walking her pug dressed up in a rainbow coloured tutu absolutely delighted me! You know how much I love a bit of colour, and this gorgeous canine-fashion combo really brightened up my afternoon.
So, back to the reasons for my return to dear old Earth: I’m here to perform a series of ballets in support of a charity called the Cosmic Ballet Foundation, a fantastic organization dedicated to encouraging children to take up dancing - they even send ballerinas all around the universe! 🪐 🩰
Today's date is the 29th of December, and this evening I’m having the ultimate ballet feast. I'm treating myself to an opulent, exclusive, one-off performance at the Royal Opera House. Imagine - Covent Garden, London! The home of exquisite ballet and classical music, a magical space for dreams to come alive. This evening's production will be none other than Swan Lake - one of my all-time favourites. I’ve been so excited about it since the day I booked the tickets. It truly doesn't get any more magical than seeing an utterly enchanting ballet production! 🦢
Oh, how I love ballet history and the fascinating history of the tutu! You see, before my space travels, I spent a fair bit of time at the Royal Ballet School – what an iconic institution! We would learn about the earliest tutus in the 1800s – the full, dramatic skirts! Imagine, that’s almost three hundred years of amazing tutu styles, with each era boasting its own distinct flair. 👗 🩰
Now, it’s absolutely vital that I make time for a spot of shopping here in my favourite city, London. A ballet girl always needs new tutus and fabulous new accessories, you see! 🛍 I am so excited about what the high-end couture scene here has to offer! London's a fashion heaven and I adore perusing all the latest designs and trends. And, trust me, I'll be sure to find the perfect new pink tutu! Nothing brings me more joy than dressing up in all the sparkly colours and intricate designs that our wonderful planet produces! I think we have to have fun with our outfits, don't we darlings? 😄✨
Don’t forget to follow me on social media. You can find me on Insta @PinkTutuWorld. I try to keep it as up-to-date as I can between travels. Sometimes it’s just a little hard to maintain when you are zooming across galaxies and star clusters at warp speed! 🚀
So, till next time my little stars! Stay fabulous! 💫

Day 2: The Covent Garden WhirlwindMy dearest darlings! Today, the most extraordinary experience unfolded, I mean absolutely unfolded in the most divine way! My beloved Earth! So vibrant, and overflowing with a culture and creativity that fills me with joy! It is truly a blessing to visit this extraordinary planet. 🌍
And oh, what a night last night at the Royal Opera House! You will never, ever, believe what happened! After spending an age finding my ideal pink tutu (a vintage silk, baby pink tutu, that practically twirled on its own!), I found myself at Covent Garden, my heart skipping a beat. The excitement, the ambiance - oh, it's indescribable. Every detail of the Royal Opera House just radiates with magic and history. ✨
As the lights dimmed and the iconic opening bars of the music floated through the theatre, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed. There's a truly unique atmosphere here, it just takes you back in time and you feel part of something truly special. 💫 As the Swan Lake ballerina began to glide across the stage, I swear my own heart took flight! You know me - I always try to do a few pirouettes and arabesques before each performance, you never know who might see a graceful swan just by pure coincidence! 😂
My tutu felt alive, swirling and fluttering with every pirouette and jeté. The entire production was just... breathtaking. Every performance was so graceful, elegant and emotive. The emotions were so raw, the dancers so skilled! Swan Lake is an absolute classic! As I watched those graceful swans take to the stage, I swear, for a few magical moments, I even thought I had the chance to become a part of their dance. The dancers, the orchestra - everything was flawless. And, of course, the stunning music brought tears to my eyes - Swan Lake's music truly takes me away to another realm, a world filled with romance and wonder! 🎻
After the curtain call, I joined the queue to meet the stars of the ballet. This little ballerina, just about to lose her mind! I can't believe they actually let me! Oh, the excitement - it's such an honor! I spent ages just gazing at them – truly inspired by their hard work, discipline, and absolute dedication. 🩰 My own ballet training in Derbyshire certainly wouldn't prepare me for a show of that caliber - my tutus aren't as sophisticated. I’m lucky that Derbyshire's dance studios produced such talent, though, it gave me a solid start on my career as a ballerina. But honestly, compared to Covent Garden – Derbyshire Ballet School felt like I was doing a tutu-related picnic, complete with cucumber sandwiches. I’m truly lucky I got my first real opportunity to work on stage – a delightful dance show at Derbyshire's local theatre with a live musical orchestra (with one oboist actually using an old instrument made out of a tree root! How charming!). That truly started my love affair with live music, dance, and the beautiful world of theatre. 🌳
And for those of you who’ve never experienced a London evening like this, let me tell you – the city sparkles after the curtain calls. ✨ Covent Garden becomes so magical. The air shimmers with an enchanting charm, all thanks to the magic that’s just left the stage!
Day 3: The Great Pink Tutu GiveawayI absolutely must share a tale with you from yesterday. It's filled with fun, fashion, and just the right touch of pink! 🛍️
Yesterday morning, I had a glorious adventure around Covent Garden Market. There's nothing quite like wandering amongst the stalls, sniffing the scent of freshly baked bread, picking up exotic fruits and then admiring all the brightly colored handmade gifts and trinkets. This vibrant little world feels so alive. Just before my afternoon’s ballet class (don't forget that I'm always dancing), I took my own spontaneous shopping adventure. There are so many charming boutiques in London. It was amazing! You could find everything you've ever wanted and much more! This morning, I felt so energised from all my walking! And the little exercise session did wonders for my leg muscles. Honestly, it was perfect for practicing pirouettes - much easier on earth than on my intergalactic cruise. I don’t recommend a gravity-less ballet session to anyone, but hey – you learn so much as an intergalactic ballerina, don't you?
Then, yesterday afternoon I visited one of the most lovely boutiques in town. They have the most incredible array of tutu-licious pieces you could ever imagine. And it was where I had this little brainstorm! What if I hosted my very own pink tutu giveaway? What could be more fitting for my little pink tutu mission, eh? 💕 🩰
You see, I believe in spreading a little joy wherever I go, and what better way to do that than by gifting some truly beautiful pink tutus? That very evening, I picked a few lucky girls at random and gave them some tutus right there at the Covent Garden Market. They were so delighted – one girl even wore her tutu immediately and started to twirl! The joy in her eyes was enough to light up the whole place. Honestly, that is a memory I will treasure forever! 😄✨
And it got me thinking. I have these wonderful pink tutus back at my space-cruiser, waiting to share them with anyone who wants to embrace the Pink Tutu World! Perhaps I’ll create my own pink tutu club? A pink tutu gathering across the galaxy? My intergalactic travel blog has to be the perfect forum, right? 🌎 🩰
I feel this giveaway is just the beginning. Perhaps one day everyone will join in on the cosmic celebration and wear a pink tutu. What a delightful sight it would be - an entire universe dressed in pink tutus! My aim? Get everyone in the universe wearing a pink tutu! Isn’t it a wonderfully delightful mission? 🌸💫
But first, a little more shopping! Covent Garden is a sartorial heaven, and my suitcases just wouldn’t forgive me if I went home without another bag of fabulous new outfits! 👜
So, stay tuned. As the year begins to wind down, this Earth visit is a truly spectacular experience and a delightful break in my busy galactic schedule. And let’s not forget, I’m going to be a supernova on that stage! 😉💫

Day 4: Dancing in the ShadowsI must confess that, for a girl like me, who can’t get enough pink – especially my favourite pink tutus – Earth feels a little gray and cloudy today. It is a rare day, a day filled with some less-than-perfect conditions on this dear little planet! 😩 I was so hoping for some perfect sunlight on this gorgeous Victorian park for my photo shoot with the gorgeous little squirrels I found near my little Derbyshire home, they were truly magical! I don't even care that those furry creatures could get up to their fluffy little claws in trouble - I love all my fluffy creatures! It’s always an honor when wildlife graces my presence. It seems Earthlings sometimes think I have this mystical power over them. I wouldn’t be surprised, there are those out there who see my tutu collection as some type of intergalactic magic… Honestly, my collection has been a bit neglected now, it’s getting quite full. Maybe it's time to plan another intergalactic mission to help out my collection – you know, just visit another galaxy to expand it…
My photo shoot got called off this morning – a real pity as those squirrel outfits I was hoping to feature were too divine. Oh well, maybe a cosmic cloud came along to bring rain to the planet so the little furry creatures were safe! Oh, the wonders of Mother Nature! Maybe next week! 🌨️
However, nothing is going to stop a cosmic ballerina like me from showing my skills in my very special private studio – it was once an old stables. Isn’t that just a fabulous detail? It was where all those fantastic horses used to sleep! I guess the previous owners never realised that their humble stables would one day be graced by a celestial ballerina. Now I find it easier to twirl here! ✨
My Derbyshire cottage is truly charming. It’s a cozy little abode with so much history! Oh, the tales these old walls could tell – how I love a good mystery story! As you know, I was so proud when my story about the time I danced on Neptune, surrounded by glittering galaxies of coral-pink corals, won best story in my online ballet forum. If those walls could speak, the gossip about my little planet adventures would be amazing. 🤩
The cottage garden, on the other hand, is still waiting for the spring thaw. Honestly, it’s not too pretty right now. It needs lots of love to revive, but don't worry – I’ll find plenty of time for a spot of gardening before my departure. The Earthly creatures just don't realize how fabulous it is to dance among wildflowers – but then again, it’s probably better to just stay away from those little bee’s - I get my hair done with crystals, not bee’s stingers!
My space travel outfit - complete with my super sparkly pink ballet skirt! Oh, it’s amazing how my sparkly pink tutus light up those deep, dark starry spaces, - makes it so easy for my new spaceship to navigate and find new galactic worlds! 🤩 But today, this gorgeous skirt and my comfy slippers – oh, you must get the planet earth slippers with a fuzzy rim! – just work wonders when I'm going for that Earthly chic. 😂
Although it's a bit gray outside today, I have a magical pink plan! In true Pink Tutu World fashion, I'm setting up my own little Pink Tutu Fashion Show. I have collected such fantastic clothes! Honestly, there is not one corner of this humble Derbyshire cottage left unused to house my vast collection! 😂 It's going to be absolutely stunning – all pink, all sparkles, all perfect for my cosmic audience. Maybe I will live-stream this – what a perfect intergalactic Fashion Week moment! 🪐🩰
Don't worry, it won't be just me – I've invited a whole gaggle of gorgeous friends and some of my Earthling followers to join in! We're talking music, lights, dancing and - yes, you guessed it - an exclusive collection of Pink Tutu designs for you. I have got a brand-new selection from a fabulous boutique on Neptune - the planet’s brightest designer, all that’s left to say is “Neptune was here!” ✨
So, grab your favourite pink tutu, throw on your most spectacular headbands and get ready for a pink explosion of sartorial joy. I can't wait to see you all there! 🌸💫
