Hello darling Tutus, and welcome back to another Wednesday whirl of my adventures! It's me, Emma, your very own pink-tutu-wearing ballerina, fresh back from the glittering, stardust-sprinkled cosmos and raring to share my latest spacefaring shenanigans!
This week, my lovely darlings, has been a real whirlwind of cosmic chic! Remember my post last week about that breathtaking show on Beta Centauri? Well, after that performance, the interstellar demand for my tutus was off the charts! And as everyone knows, where thereās a demand, thereās an Emma on a spaceship, bringing the pink-tutu magic.
I must admit, there was a touch of drama when my ship, the āTutu Express,ā encountered a space-dust storm on the journey here. *Cue the panicked sighs from the fellow dancers who I was travelling with. "Ooh," I shrieked, "Not space dust - that's our enemy, Emma." Thankfully, it was nothing a little celestial dusting powder and my trusty pink space tutu couldn't fix. Problem solved, glitter restored, and on we continued!
And you know me, dearies! It wasn't just a trip, it was a full-on, all-out cosmic fashion extravaganza! I even spotted some truly stellar celestial styles! A sparkly space-sequined leotard over on Gamma Draconis, and a fabulous pair of celestial-inspired slippers, all done in an array of colours inspired by the nebulae. Talk about some fabulous outer space fashion, you wouldn't believe it!
Anyway, after a whirlwind tour, I'm back here in Derbyshire, England - my Planet Earth - all snuggled back in my humble, yet utterly fabulous, studio space. But, darlings, don't you worry! This doesnāt mean the adventure is over!
A Little Reminder About The Magic of Pink Tutus
I know some of you darlings are still hesitant about pink tutus. You might think, āPink is a little bit too much. ā Or, āSurely I canāt pull it off in real life. ā Nonsensical, dears! Pink tutus, my darlings, are magic! They have the power to transform! The power to inspire! The power to remind us that life is a stage! Donāt be shy, try on a pink tutu. Let it transform your look, your attitude, your *very essence! Youāll see - thereās a pink-tutu queen hidden inside us all, ready to shine!
Speaking of shine, itās a big one, my darlings! Today, May 24th, is my birthday! And as an extra treat, we are going to Celebrate at the National Ballet's Summer Ball. Yes, the biggest social ballet gathering in the entire UK. Youāll never guess whoāll be making a grand appearance ā the world-renowned dancer, Olivia, herself will be our guest! And Iāve got a brand new pink tutu picked just for her. You wouldn't believe the new cosmic patterns it has - I've never felt so creative You all know I love my big shows, so Iām off to find a show stopping extra outfit for the event - donāt worry, youāll be seeing a very special blog post about this all next week. I'll be sure to capture it all for you in full, pink, tutu-tastic detail.
For now, dearies, keep your eyes peeled for your nearest pink tutu - be it here on Planet Earth, or on the moon, or wherever the universe might take you. Until next Wednesday, keep twirling!
Sending you loads of love and twirls,
Emma
Planet Earth Diary - Special Post-Birthday Bonus
Hello Darlings,
It's a little after-party from your favourite pink tutu blogger. The Summer Ball has gone off with a bang and now it's time to give you some behind-the-scenes details and photos!
Remember, that show-stopping pink tutu I'd picked for Olivia? It stole the show! There was quite literally, a pink fever for all things ballet and I was delighted to receive all the praise for the show-stopping costume! Olivia, as I always say, has got style and she wore my tutu with so much charisma and panache, it literally brought tears to my eyes, dears. She certainly has no shame and isn't afraid to rock the look. Can I ask, why do people try to shy away from the tutu - don't let them stop you - the tutu, the costume, is magic! They say its not a look you'd see on the high street, that's nonsense! All it takes is a little bravery and a whole lotta confidence. Olivia was even sporting one of my custom tutus when she made the announcement!
Now to catch you up with everything else about the Ball. Firstly, I did say the social aspect would be something, and believe me it was spectacular! There were some incredibly influential figures from the world of dance present - even Lord Derval from the Ballet of the British Isles was there. I bumped into the head of a major dance college by chance in the VIP lounge too and had the absolute pleasure of talking all things tutus and future fashion for dancers.
Here are a few of my favorite things that made the Summer Ball truly magical this year:
- The Show: This yearās dance performance, based on the story of Swan Lake but with an innovative twist of technology and projection mapping was breath-taking! The sheer talent on display left everyone spellbound! Thereās nothing more special than seeing some true stars of the ballet world do what they do best!
- The After-Party: It wasn't all about tutus and ballet shoes! We finished off the night with a proper, decadent party that even my cosmic voyages couldnāt top. It was like a ballroom dream come to life.
- The Pink Tutu Vibes: Of course! It wasnāt officially a Pink Tutu theme this year but honestly - there was a sense that every outfit, every style, every dancer, was going to show off some aspect of pink and tutus. And there wasnāt a single tutu, not one, in sight without a hint of pink in there. You might not see it but trust me, you feel it in the energy. Even the after-party, all those big shots and important dancers, you could see them feeling it, loving the feeling of being a ballerina even if they hadn't danced in years. The energy just resonated from every direction.
It truly was a special evening, dearies, and I can't wait to show you everything in photos - check back tomorrow when Iāll have them all up! For now, though, itās time for a well-deserved sleep. A night with a pink tutu, you never sleep quite as well after such an energetic, exhilarating evening! But tomorrow, I'll be fresh and ready to tackle the new week, with even more tutus to make and cosmic stories to tell.
Until then, darling Tutus, let your inner pink ballerina shine through!
Much love,
Emma
