Post #1749: Pink Tutu World: Ballet on Planet Earth, 1st November 2028! 🩰🌎✨

Hello my lovely tutu-twirling darlings! Welcome back to Pink Tutu World, your weekly dose of pink, glitter, and all things ballet! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new post, and guess what? Your girl is BACK on Planet Earth!

As some of you know, my recent intergalactic travels have taken me on some incredible adventures. I've been bouncing between galaxies, performing for aliens with seven legs and three noses, and teaching intergalactic creatures to pirouette with a perfect fifth port de bras. But I always find myself longing for the familiarity of Earth's gravity and the smell of freshly-baked crumpets.

Landing back on Earth this week felt like slipping into a comfortable, well-worn pointe shoe - a comforting feeling that I knew so well, a feeling I can only get on dear old Earth. This planet, as you all know, has a very special place in my heart, even though I have seen more planets than I can count, Earth will always be the place I call home.

Anyway, let me catch you up on this week’s adventures on Planet Earth...

Back to Reality: Earth, the UK and a Whole Lotta Shopping!

Landing at Heathrow airport felt like stepping out of a spaceship and straight onto a catwalk, because my, oh my, the outfits! The styles here are always so much more interesting than anything you find on any other planet, I just love that sense of fun with style they have on Earth, you just can't beat a bit of Earthly flair. And the people! Everyone's smiling and greeting each other. It’s just the warmest, happiest atmosphere, especially after experiencing the slight frown lines on the face of a couple of other planet inhabitants I encountered.

After a very chic chauffeur-driven trip back to Derbyshire, I was welcomed home with a hot cuppa and, I swear, the world's largest homemade victoria sponge! (The space cakes on that last alien planet weren't bad, but nothing can quite compare to a real English teacake!.) Mum had decorated the whole house with a huge pink ribbon, and the cat, who shall remain nameless, was wearing a miniature pink tutu (and not looking very pleased about it - some animals, am I right?).

My Planet Earth Agenda: The Ballet!

But I couldn’t linger too long; I’m an international tutu-twirling ambassador after all. I’ve got a packed agenda: ballet, shopping and of course, delicious food! It's good to be back in a tutu world that knows how to celebrate all the amazing things in life – and by ‘amazing’, I definitely mean ballet!

Speaking of ballet…

I’ve already booked tickets to see the Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. This is just the most perfect theatre in London. And as many of you know, the Royal Ballet is legendary, an institution steeped in history. To watch them perform is just breathtaking. Every graceful move, every perfectly timed gesture - just magical!

After Covent Garden, I’m heading down to Birmingham to catch a production of Swan Lake at the Birmingham Hippodrome. Now, the Hippodrome isn’t exactly cosy, more epic is the word I’d choose, and Birmingham is bursting with energy!

Tutu Shopping, Shopping and… More Shopping

But before I get caught up in the whirl of pirouettes and plie’s, it’s time for shopping! You’d be surprised what you can find in the back streets of London. Oh, I found some absolutely darling pink tutus at Liberty, the department store, they're the ones with the amazing stained glass facade and I think their entire store is based around pink and frills – I must have gone a little crazy in the haberdashery department. I'm not ashamed to admit I practically emptied their pink feather boas and tutu tulle section, as did my little sister; I knew I’d be getting into the right kind of trouble if I let her wander round the London department stores alone.

As you know, a good tutu is vital for any ballerina worth their salt – especially in our exciting little pink world! I can’t just buy any old tutu though.

  • It’s got to be made from the most sumptuous tulle,
  • the right shade of pink,
  • a perfect length for showing off my fancy footwear and…
  • It has to match the outfit!

Of course! So this week I have some gorgeous pieces for you to drool over - and you might be lucky enough to get some style tips as well as a new ballet inspiration! I am posting the whole collection to my Pink Tutu World online store this week and posting a photo shoot on the blog – it’s a little teaser. Be sure to check it out - some new styles with my very own designer touch!

But it isn't just all about London!

I just can't get enough of Britain and I’ve made it my mission to travel across this wonderful country. So my next stop is Edinburgh! And guess what? I found out that the famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival actually features a ballet festival! That’s right! Ballet’s got its own special place amongst the comedians, musicians, and playwrights!

Edinburgh is buzzing - especially when the Fringe Festival is in full swing! The streets are overflowing with artists and performers from all over the globe - I’m already daydreaming of all the shows I’m going to see, all the shops I’m going to discover, all the new tutu-wearing friends I'm going to make. And what I can't wait to experience the famous Edinburgh Castle! It must be an extraordinary sight – the history! I imagine myself twirling through its stone arches, a tutu-wearing vision against the backdrop of a grand, ancient castle. I’m definitely getting the royal treatment, or at least pretending to… and the pink-tutu-wearing queen is ready for it all!

Planet Earth and Pink Tutu World: They're Simply Magic!

Now, I might have experienced more planetary atmospheres than I can shake a cosmic sparkly pink wand at, but I truly believe that there's nothing quite like the magical feeling you get when you land back on Planet Earth, put on a new pair of pointe shoes, slip into your favourite pink tutu and… dance your heart out. This is where it all started, and my pink tutu journey continues. I have so much more to see, to share and, of course, to dance with all of you, on Planet Earth and throughout the entire universe.

Stay tuned next week for my Edinburgh adventures, tutu-twirling beauties! Don’t forget to join me on Instagram and Tiktok, and keep those pink tutus twirling!

Until next time, stay sparkly and dream big!
