Hello darling tutu lovers,
It's your favourite tutu-tastic traveller Emma, and I'm so excited to share my latest cosmic escapades with you! This week, I've been twirling through the galaxies, spreading a little pink-tutu-powered joy wherever I go. And believe me, my loves, the universe needs more pink! 💖
My Pink Tutu Diary: September 19th, 2029 - Planet Earth
Well, my darlings, after a whirlwind trip to Vega (that whole "can't wear a tutu in zero gravity" thing was a bit of a challenge, I'll be honest) I've landed back on Planet Earth for a little respite. Oh, you can imagine how excited I am to be home! A proper English cuppa and a bit of good old fashioned Derbyshire sunshine... the perfect combination.
It feels a little strange to be back. I must confess, travelling through space does something to your perspective on life. You can't help but wonder about the bigger things – the vastness of the cosmos, the sheer unfathomable awesomeness of the universe.
And then you pop into your local Primark, and you're back in the reality of finding a new pair of pink glitter ballet shoes, because let's be honest, we can never have enough! 😂
This week on Earth, it's all about Ballet & Fashion: I just adore a bit of cross-over in life.
Speaking of crossovers, have you ever noticed how some ballet steps look like they were made for the runway? And how some runway walks have such fantastic elegant steps? It’s all about that fluidity and graceful style. Today I’m celebrating the beauty of both the ballet world and fashion, where glamour and movement meet.
Tonight is all about the fabulous and fabulousness - we’re going to see a contemporary ballet performance at the Royal Opera House in London! This will be an immersive journey of artistry and creativity with live music and a phenomenal display of athleticism. And if the performance is half as good as what’s trending in the world of tutus right now, well, prepare yourselves for an experience like no other.
Don’t even get me started on the clothes shopping. London is one of the best places in the world to find stylish pieces, particularly when it comes to finding those bold and fun pink outfits for ballet class and a night on the town.
Back to the Space Adventures: Pink Tutu in the Stars
But darling, this blog is just a sneak peek of my life. You see, it’s a tough gig being a pink tutu-wearing intergalactic adventurer. Just think of all the pressure I’m under to create stylish galactic looks. It takes a LOT of work, so trust me, a whole wardrobe of the very best pink tutus is essential.
Before we start on the pinkness, here’s the low down: you’ll often see me in a spacecraft, known in our celestial circles as the 'Pink Stardust Cruiser'. It’s my ride across the universe, it’s fully stocked with the finest glitter (for interstellar disco nights) and an infinite supply of pink bubblegum. But hey, you're never too old to be a kid at heart, and this one keeps me going when travelling in outer space! I make sure to add some ballet essentials: a portable barre for a quick workout (in case we are stranded for some time, but it also provides a nice view of space when sitting on the end), and an extensive tutu storage wardrobe, a collection of pointe shoes and ballet class equipment. Plus I don’t travel anywhere without my favourite sparkly tiara. Every good space adventurer needs their sparkly tiara! It’s one of the essentials!
Back to the pink. I believe that wearing pink is a statement in itself, but you have to know what to wear. A few of the hottest pink outfits this season? I’m wearing some wonderful metallic sparkling hot pink tights at the moment – perfect for cosmic events! Of course, it all comes back to the shoes. When choosing a colour for space, I have a few favourite colours. Silver, gold, metallic hot pink, blue or purple go with just about every space look you’ll be needing to look fabulous. Oh, and you can’t forget to make your pink outfit complete with space glitter, pink gems and jewels. Remember, my dears, every cosmic occasion requires some extra sparkle.
I often find myself performing in cosmic operas and ballet concerts, bringing a touch of earth-inspired ballet to the galaxies. It's not always easy to convince intergalactic beings of the beauty of a pirouette, but let me tell you, I always find a way! Just think of how delighted the beings on Sirius were when I got them all involved in a synchronized Pink Tutu Cosmic Dance.
It may sound silly, but it’s a lot of fun! Plus, let’s be honest: what could be more fabulous than spreading a bit of pink-tutu-love across the universe?
*Planet Earth Diary, October 4th, 2029 - Derbyshire, England *
I'm home sweet home and in Derbyshire. It is such a lovely feeling to be home - especially after being on the road for what felt like a lifetime.
A trip to the Derbyshire Dales (as we Derbyshire folks affectionately call it) was a must. Walking along the trails through the breathtaking scenery made me so relaxed, especially as my feet were still sore from performing. But I must tell you, the most magical part of any day in the Dales, are the tutu picnics we have.
It all started as a little game and it became a trend in the Derbyshire Dales – everyone is in a tutu (and everyone must be in pink of course!), grabbing the most glorious picnics and enjoying the stunning countryside. I'll admit, sometimes you see an unexpected sight – like a whole family of rabbits dressed in miniature tutus hopping along, or a fox wearing a pink satin ballet shoe, which is very surreal but fun! You know I always bring my special ballet picnic basket and enjoy a bottle of pink lemonade. But let’s face it - the tutu is what really brings a picnic to life!
I know I sound crazy, and believe me I love it.
And then I realise it is time for my next cosmic ballet performance and I’m ready to get back out there! It’s a big wide universe out there, and there are so many people to reach with pink tutus and ballet, it feels like I have the time of my life!

Keep twirling, keep believing in pink tutus, and keep exploring the universe,
