Hello, darling dears! It's Emma here, your friendly neighbourhood tutu-wearing travel enthusiast, and I'm back with another #PinkTutuBlogLondon! This week, I'm taking you all on a fabulous trip to the heart of London!
Train Journey Bliss!
As always, I decided to embrace the romance of rail travel for this trip. From the beautiful Peak District countryside, my train journey was filled with the warm glow of early morning sunshine, catching glimpses of the iconic English landscape, and - of course - a lot of time to practice my pliés and pirouettes in my bright pink tulle tutu. My current favourite is a gorgeous layered design with sparkly sequins. It's a true head-turner, and it perfectly embodies my motto: 'Embrace the pink, twirl your heart out!'.
London Calling!
Upon arriving at London's iconic Kings Cross Station, the buzz of the city instantly filled me with excitement! This trip is all about exploring London's incredible theatre scene and delving into its vibrant fashion district, and of course, seeing some iconic sights. I'm so glad I packed my favourite rose gold crossbody bag for a stylish, yet practical way to carry all my essentials: phone, lipstick, and, of course, a pink feather boa!
The Theatre Magic!
The first stop on our London escapade is the West End! My Friday wouldn't be complete without a performance to inspire me! Tonight I’m catching the latest rendition of "The Phantom of the Opera" at Her Majesty's Theatre. I just adore this classic musical! It's truly breathtaking to experience the opulent stagecraft, costumes, and the hauntingly beautiful melodies. I am dying to see how they've modernised it while staying true to the iconic story. It promises to be a night of musical enchantment!
Shop till You Drop!
Now, no trip to London is complete without a shopping spree ! My personal favourite shopping destination? Covent Garden! From luxury boutiques to quirky independent stores, the variety is overwhelming. The colourful stalls, the buzzing atmosphere - it's a sensory overload that gets the creative juices flowing!
Fashion Inspiration Everywhere!
Oh my goodness, London is a fashion capital, just strolling along Oxford Street inspires my creativity! Today's look: I'm rocking a stunningly pink A-line skirt paired with a vintage floral blouse, topped with a stylish tweed blazer. I adored the contrast of feminine and sophisticated, a perfect look for a day of exploration! A sprinkle of blush-coloured glitter across my cheekbones, and my look was complete!
Taking In The Landmarks!
After indulging in a spot of afternoon tea with delicious scones and clotted cream, we decided to visit the London Eye. It's a landmark that never ceases to amaze! We were blessed with a beautiful day, so we enjoyed breathtaking views over London, with Big Ben looking particularly grand!
The Tutu Tour!
After our breathtaking Eye experience, I embarked on a little 'Tutu Tour'. My mission: spreading the joy of tutus to everyone I meet! My tutu is an ice breaker, people smile instantly! They all seemed to be charmed by my bubbly enthusiasm and I even got a few folks twirling with me !
Ending the Day with Style!
My final evening was spent indulging in the finest of Parisian cuisine at a beautiful little bistro in Soho. I went for a delicious duck confit, a real treat after a busy day.
What I learned today:
- Evenings at the West End are always full of magic and surprise!
- London has some of the finest clothes shopping in the world!
- Tutus can really make people smile, you can't beat spreading happiness through twirling!
- London never ceases to surprise and amaze me with its blend of history, fashion, and vibrancy!
