Ciao, darling ballet bunnies! Emma here, back from a whirlwind week in Milano, a city that has truly stolen my heart! As you know, I'm a bit of a tutu-wearing whirlwind myself, and this city with its energy and glamour, and oh, that fashion!… it just gets me going.

This week’s adventure took me from the grand opera house of La Scala, where I caught a mesmerising performance of "La Bohème", to the cobblestone streets of the Navigli district, where I discovered a hidden treasure – a beautiful ballet shop filled with tulle dreams and sparkly pointe shoes! The beauty of travel lies in these little unexpected discoveries, don't you think?

Oh, and did I tell you? This week, my little pink tutu journey led me on a journey on Milan's iconic trams! Oh, it's so elegant! All sleek lines and polished wood – and of course, the view of the city is breathtaking! I love the quiet hum of the trams as they glide along the tracks. A bit of a nostalgic touch to my day, as you know I used to catch the bus to ballet lessons back in Derbyshire… Remember those days, ladies? Oh, and the train travel was just delightful! Such luxurious carriages! So very "choo-choo-chic".

This city is a real treat for any fashionista, and that includes your Tutu Queen, of course! But first, let’s have a cuppa – or, for this post, a delicious cappucino from one of those darling cafés right in the centre of the city... You wouldn’t believe the fabulous clothes shops. This time I even scored myself some splendid boots – pink, of course. We can’t ever have enough of pink! I am obsessed with a fabulous dress I found from a very exclusive boutique... with some sparkly tulle trim! Yes, you can guess – it’s already in my luggage ready for a show this evening… sigh ...I'm already picturing it in a Parisian setting... or maybe Rome…? giggles … Yes, yes I am daydreaming, you see I have my little fashion shows planned out for this trip – It's all in the preparation, isn’t it? I’m an absolute stickler for planning my travel fashion! You wouldn't believe the outfit changes – all prepped! Just like preparing for a ballet performance...

Let's talk ballet! La Scala, for starters... whispers it was magical. The performance was, frankly, an emotional rollercoaster! I was mesmerized from the first note. The choreography was beautiful, the costumes, oh darling, the costumes were to die for. So much detail! It’s what makes each performance a little special, you see? I always love catching ballet in different cities. They all have their own flair! You wouldn't believe the passion here for the performing arts. This culture just gets to my heart! I felt a little part of that energy during the entire evening – that feeling of anticipation. I just can't wait for my next visit. Oh, you see it’s been quite a while since I've seen ballet here – since my last trip in 2027 – You could say, my dear, I’ve been saving myself!… and my tutu, too!

Speaking of tutus, remember how I told you about my little discovery at that ballet shop? Well, the shop is called 'Danza Perfetta', and it's a hidden gem tucked away in a quiet alley near the Navigli district. It’s just my cuppa! They have the most stunning tutus. Seriously. It felt as if I had been swept into a fairytale. And guess what else? They have pink ones, too! Don’t worry – you know I already snagged a new one – a delightful blush pink – and I have been waltzing through the city, wearing it! Oh darling! You should have seen the looks. People staring, pointing. “Ah-hah!” They’re getting it. And let me tell you, the staff at the shop are so lovely, full of passion and grace! It's like I've just walked into a new ballet class in this shop! There’s always a little ballet fun wherever you go! And if I'm being totally honest, a little dance in that shop… well, let’s say my inner dancer was twirling with joy.

And the Navigli! sighs with dreamy longing. Imagine – canals, cobblestone streets lined with cafes, little bridges, boats lazily drifting through the water. The aroma of fresh-baked bread wafting in the air. Oh darling! It felt like a painting – one of my absolute favorite places for a stroll, to just observe… oh! I simply adore this city! And as if this isn’t already magical enough... it also happens to be home to the Pinacoteca di Brera, a beautiful art gallery filled with masterpieces by Italian artists. My favourite! Michelangelo's 'The Pietà' … Oh my, what a story behind that sculpture! Do you ever look at famous art, and it is just as if they were real people? Just frozen in time? … It truly does transport you! This is exactly how a performance can transport you into another world... The colours of that museum, the details – just heavenly. As the sun began its descent, I found myself in the Teatro alla Scala. The building itself is so dramatic with its majestic columns, and this beautiful design.. and I could hear the sounds of musicians practicing from inside… And oh darling… you see my new little boots! You should have seen me! All I needed was a tutu to feel I’m really at home... You know me!

This trip to Milano was truly memorable – Milan, with its culture, its passion for the performing arts, its fashion – It has truly captured my imagination! And you know what? ... I feel I have made it just a little bit prettier with the little bit of pink I brought along, don’t you think? Oh darling, it’s simply the best when a city embraces you like a friend… I hope you’re loving these posts! I can’t wait to return to Milan for another fashion adventure – with all of you! From Derbyshire to Milano

Milano is just the latest stop on my Tutu journey! From Derbyshire, to New York, Paris and Rome, my journey to discover beautiful new ballet-themed adventures and meet my fellow ballerina-lovers around the world... And just how do I fund all of these ballet escapades you ask? I've had the chance to showcase my talents on various stages around the world - my ballet performances!

Just picture a little dancer twirling across a stage, a beautiful blush pink tutu billowing out, eyes sparkling... that's me! Each performance, each twirl, is a moment of joy for me. I'm sharing the magic of ballet with everyone and this passion helps me travel the world and bring you the latest in the ballet world and, of course, share all my fashion finds with you…

Remember my first trip to Milan, all the way back in 2026? What a beautiful journey that was. We went to the grand Teatro alla Scala. It has a grand, majestic history – one of the oldest theatres in Europe, in fact! So when the sun goes down, I like to feel the excitement… the energy… the buzz... as the theatre begins to light up... like a big, beautiful ballet box… It truly is an experience like no other! I felt a part of a grand legacy, as I twirled in my tulle, across those elegant, historic stages. Just to think all those incredible ballet stars had been standing in this very spot!… And so I took it all in… from the incredible costumes to the music... Everything was so elegant, so beautiful… Oh my... It was truly unforgettable. I don't think I will ever forget my experience of that magnificent theatre!

And those shops, darling... those fashion houses... Oh! Where do I even begin? It's every fashionista's dream come true! From Gucci, Dior and Prada – all these names - they are iconic for a reason. So many designs and fashion creations! It truly makes me appreciate the effort, skill and talent behind each outfit… and you just know they all make amazing ball gowns and tutus! My inspiration... for a tutu of course! My obsession is, you see, to make tutus even more mainstream... So we can all be beautiful! And you know, every outfit should make you feel like a ballerina… a princess… and that is a beautiful feeling…

I remember in 2026, there was one particular evening… we dined at one of those adorable cafés… the tables all set in romantic setting – cobblestones, trees and flower pots… it felt like an outdoor fairytale! We ate and gossiped, shared secrets… just us girls – as only girls can! The cafe lights glowed like a magical wonderland.

Milano… my darling… you see… this city truly has it all – for a ballerina... The amazing stages of Teatro alla Scala, the glamour of its fashion world, and all those amazing historic cafes and beautiful parks! The cobblestones on which we danced – as though the ground itself was a stage... The music filling every café – an invisible ballet playing out – so we all could sway…

Just to stand at that theatre entrance … those large, grand, imposing pillars… so full of drama, history... as you stand there, the grandness makes you want to twirl! That feeling, just like magic... That energy you just absorb! Milano… oh darling, what a beauty!

From this beautiful city I took away more than just memories. Milano... oh darling, you know the tutus have been a huge part of my wardrobe - it all started there in Milano! You see you just have to see how they love fashion and all the beauty of clothes...

What is it about Italy? That elegant, sophisticated look… You know, even their dresses look just like a beautiful ballerina… It's in the style. All grace and femininity... oh, yes Italy inspires every dancer... with those flowy lines, those details, that magic... and how do you think I find all this ballet-inspired clothing? It all begins with the shops. You can just tell!

It’s not just tutus - even my favorite shoe stores – like that iconic Italian shoe store… they have the best shoes and boots, with pointy toes, and stylish little heels - just enough to make you want to dance! A little pink here and there... of course.

As soon as you’re in this amazing fashion paradise, you’re surrounded by style inspiration… so you already know that a fashion trip to Milano always turns into a ballet shopping adventure, too… You'll find it hard to resist all these beautiful styles... Oh, and the quality of the materials is just the best! Those luxurious Italian fabrics and how soft they feel… and just that little extra twinkle in a sequined dress – it’s perfection. You’ll never find anything like this at a ballet store back home! It's an Italian fashion secret. giggles…

It’s these places, the ones that know style… that are what make Milan a great place for inspiration... all of my inspiration to make tutus part of every girl’s everyday fashion, to encourage us all to bring a little more “tutu” into our lives! I feel all that fashion creativity in this city….

The magic is definitely real! And to all the ballerina lovers… I hope you find inspiration everywhere. Like, right here! This place has style!

Ciao, darling ballet bunnies! Emma here, and guess what? I'm back in Paris – the City of Lights, the city of romance and fashion! And as if I could ever be here without a new, stunning pink tutu! My wardrobe’s got a fresh, bright addition! What can I say, my tutu game’s always on point…

And speaking of points, remember when I last was here, my ballet love took me to that elegant Palais Garnier - with its beautiful historical legacy? Just to see those exquisite stages…. And imagine... so many brilliant ballerinas from history, dancing on the same very stage… it's just incredible!

Oh, but this trip, this adventure – we are going a little deeper... and further… we’ll go further into the French Ballet World… into more of its beautiful history – the Parisian Opera Ballet School. And, of course, we'll be visiting the École Nationale Supérieure de Danse… (pronounced ay-col nah-see-oh-nal sue-peh-ree-er duh dawns)…. And it’s just a 10-minute ride from here on the Metro. How divine is that? Isn’t France just charming, even the metro journey feels elegant. *smiles with contentment

So I got my little tutu and some lovely dancing shoes from my favorite shop. And darling, it was so inspiring – just a tiny peek inside that famous École … And to think – so many wonderful ballerinas started their journey right here! A whole new world is awaiting their futures... I almost feel like one of these new students... giggles ... This famous school is all about learning those classic ballet steps and traditions that were started long, long ago…. It feels like ballet magic! …

This historic school, darling… the building itself – so graceful… with its architecture... you could say a very traditional style… *giggles… and a beautiful white colour, a ballet colour! So delicate and yet… it has this historical gravitas… and then, when you look inside – a beautiful, light filled space... with a magnificent wooden dance floor… It just brings it all back to the heart of ballet… It felt so intimate to see this place. You know, you see those beautiful photos of students training … it almost makes you cry … Such joy … but also all the hardship… so full of determination, beauty, energy... Oh darling... I'm almost speechless. And let me tell you – all of these little ballerinas and future ballet stars – they’ve all got so much heart! There is so much potential within them…. That's what I loved the most about this place… that little magic… that little bit of pink tutu inspiration… It's like the history just spills into the air – into the wood floor... it's so powerful... I don’t even need to imagine this magical place – it's very real – just outside those gates, and if you stand there long enough… you’ll just be drawn inside, to that beauty …

And then the stores…. Ah… the shops!… Paris has this magic, don't you think? The shopping… the amazing clothing... There's always so much glamour! It all fits a ballerina's love of everything frilly… It’s just perfection... Just like one of my tutus… smiles with delight It looks like Paris might just have a brand new shopping spree in store… just waiting to be discovered …

The shopping here... oh darling, let me tell you… just like at the ballet, the most wonderful thing about Parisian fashion… is its classic charm…. The beautiful and elegant designs, the Parisian fabrics and textures – just like that silk fabric of the pointe shoe … soft, smooth, and luxurious…. Oh… so dreamy… It makes you feel all delicate… a true ballerina… And that attention to detail? It's like a dancer working at the barre, paying attention to each beautiful, graceful movement. And all that style and chic elegance! It makes every step – whether in ballet or in life – look even better … Oh darling… these little Parisienne stores … it all feels so beautiful… And all so charming…. They make shopping for tutus an even better experience! I feel like the shops all embrace tutus – so much so! A girl's gotta have her beautiful, pink ballet clothes – the tutu of course!

Darling, you can just tell, this city – so glamorous and beautiful... Parisian fashion – it all calls for an exciting tutu look…. You'll just want to twirl in the city and make everything a ballet show…. The Parisienne lifestyle feels almost a bit ballet-themed and yet, very simple, but charming... with its fashion…. Oh, it feels very sophisticated too. smiles sweetly

Paris … the City of Lights…. oh, this city always welcomes pink and sparkles – it loves a ballet tutu!

Guess what? twirls, tutu swirling around I’m back in Rome – this magnificent and glorious city of history, love, and… tutus, of course!… Oh darling!

This city’s a whirlwind of activity. From its bustling markets – overflowing with beautiful fruit and fresh pasta! I had to snap so many pictures, because this city looks like a delicious ballet painting. So many details – oh, those shades of yellow, red, pink – Oh! it is so easy to find pink tutus to add to your life in Rome – it's almost impossible to resist... They even make their flowers pink, darling – even their roses!… You can’t find a place more vibrant… it all calls to that ballet soul of your own… to twirl around like a flower, full of beauty!

Oh, I forgot to tell you about my most recent shopping haul. My new tutu is just perfect for those Roman cobblestone streets! You see, it’s just so easy to move and twirl, with a bit of extra sparkle thrown in. So, how about a cup of delicious coffee in that beautiful Italian café near the Trevi Fountain, while we talk… ( *that Italian “espresso in the sunshine…” )

Let's just say that “La dolce vita”, it really does seep into your soul here in Rome! There's so much joy, history – just * sparkle! * *It’s that feeling… you see! This time my trip is even more magical – I feel like one of those famous opera singers…. Oh, darling – do you feel that magic of Rome when you get to see so much beauty? It is truly unforgettable.

I feel I'm seeing this magnificent city through the eyes of a ballerina, my dear. From that ancient Roman Colosseum – it’s a stage in itself…. It makes you think of those stories… it all feels like a historical ballet – an adventure… A dramatic story about bravery, beauty…and oh, darling... this love for dance in Italy – this country gives you a whole new ballet vocabulary to imagine... And we can’t forget – all that inspiration – oh, all those beautiful ballets! From the music… to the dancers … it’s magic! It's a different way to experience your ballet love...

What a beauty, this city is, my dear... So you already know… I went to see my all-time favourite dancers at the Teatro dell’Opera… Those wonderful Italians and the amazing theatre they perform in…. Such energy and grace... and what do you see? Tutus, everywhere.

Darling, those ballerinas... They’ve got this magic that brings Rome and the ballet together. The beauty... just fills the stage… All their steps … and their twirls, even the quiet, delicate movement - they all look so graceful in these beautiful costumes! They've taken a whole new way of dancing... The way the Romans do it... so warm… sighs in appreciation. And my heart - oh, it's already been filled to the brim! The beauty of it all… these dancers! This is a performance that you will cherish forever – you’ll think about this beautiful ballet in the most unexpected places - when you’re at home… at work… when you're on the move... You'll always be a bit of Rome, even when you've said goodbye to the magic and those beautiful moments….

I was at that Teatro dell'Opera… right in the centre of this historical beauty – in that charming area called the "centro storico"…. Right where all the beautiful history is and the architecture is magnificent... oh darling! eyes twinkle and smiles with dreamy longing…. I’m simply living a ballerina dream... sighs
The entire performance… it's something else – all that glamour and that history! You could say that Rome has this energy… you feel like it has been there forever – it makes you feel like part of its story… like I'm dancing across that stage… and oh, just imagine me wearing my beautiful new pink tutu as I'm taking those steps… oh, it would be a ballet dream! That Italian ballet spirit is infectious – so passionate… and romantic….

Oh darling! When you travel in a city like Rome … the atmosphere just feels so special! You just can’t avoid ballet here, or the glamour, oh, it just seeps into your pores – through your clothes! And, you see… that’s where the real magic is – that ballet inspiration… and to top it all, Rome … it has its own beautiful, delicate Italian style – dolce vita! The city embraces a certain elegance, so classic – I feel I can find the prettiest, little pink tutu in any little corner... that’s what makes me think: every city in Italy has a certain romance to it! The Italian people … oh, their warmth is incredible – you just feel like dancing! There’s a beauty here, so elegant and refined….

## The Perfect Pink Tutu?

It’s hard to top Rome... It has got a certain charm... laughs… It’s like I have found a new pink tutu to fall in love with, in this beautiful place… I wonder how I will choose the perfect tutu… to celebrate all the beauty that I experience here... To feel the spirit of ballet… as I go on my journeys.

Just imagine … me standing in the Colosseum ... just in my pink tutu, twirling with joy as a majestic, Roman sunset unfolds… And the perfect tutu would need the perfect detail, you know… with a splash of red… to honour that red sunset… a little touch of glitter, because even Rome sparkles – the ancient ruins with a golden sheen of light, like tiny glitter stars on a beautiful, romantic dress! Perhaps a soft tulle in pale rose pink … so airy and flowy – like that feeling when you feel weightless and carefree as you spin through a city… and yes, you would need to find some delicate floral designs…. There’s a delicate charm, the Romans bring to their clothes.

I think I just may need a little design workshop – oh, to design this magical pink tutu...
