Milan's streets are positively buzzing with life and colour this week, and you bet I'm soaking up every stylish moment. Speaking of colour, my outfit today? Think dazzling pink tutu with layers of tulle, teamed with a crisp white silk top and delicate gold jewellery. The perfect combination for strolling around the iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, dodging the throngs of tourists and marveling at the breathtaking architecture.

Now, let me tell you, the magic of Milan doesn't just lie in the fashion or the history – it's in the air! The Italian zest for life, the delicious aroma of espresso wafting from every corner, the joyful chatter echoing off the cobbled streets, it all adds up to a sensory overload that's simply divine.

This trip has been a dream come true for my inner ballerina. Not only is Milan renowned for its fashion houses, but also for its prestigious ballet companies and world-class performances. On Tuesday, I had the absolute pleasure of attending a dazzling performance at the Teatro alla Scala. It was an enchanting spectacle, from the breathtaking choreography to the captivating music. You could practically feel the energy and passion in the air as the dancers soared through the air with elegance and grace.

And oh, the costumes! I was especially captivated by a shimmering, midnight-blue tutu – so full of life and character, it had me itching to take to the stage myself. The design was exquisite – flowing, graceful, and truly magnificent. It reminded me that tutus aren't just pretty frills, they're artistic masterpieces that add another layer of magic to any performance.

Naturally, I couldn't resist picking up a few new treasures for myself, including a gorgeous lavender tutu with delicate hand-sewn flowers. Can you tell I'm in love? I simply can't wait to wear it during my next performance back in Derbyshire.

No trip to Italy is complete without indulging in its legendary culinary scene, and Milan is no exception! I've been treating my tastebuds to delicious Italian delights – from creamy risotto to heavenly pizza and fresh pasta, there's something to satisfy every craving. I'm particularly smitten with the authentic gelaterias tucked away in charming alleyways. Oh, the divine symphony of flavors – strawberry, pistachio, chocolate… each bite transports you to a sugary paradise!

As you all know, I'm a huge fan of exploring new places and discovering hidden gems. Here in Milan, I've been embracing the charm of tram travel. Gliding through the city streets, soaking in the atmosphere, and admiring the fashionable passers-by, it's a truly captivating experience. I can't resist snapping photos of all the eye-catching street style I encounter. Milan truly is a fashion lover's paradise, where every day is a runway show!

But it's not all about high fashion and couture here. You can also find fantastic bargain buys at the local markets, filled with unique, quirky, and stylish finds. You've got to check out the vibrant food markets – bursting with vibrant produce, colourful spices, and mouthwatering treats. My favourite find was a stunning vintage scarf, perfect for adding a touch of Parisian flair to any outfit!

Now, as many of you know, my mission in life is to inspire everyone to embrace the joy of tutus – a touch of whimsy, a symbol of creativity, a reminder to always twirl! And let me tell you, the response in Milan has been overwhelming! The locals seem to adore my signature pink tutu and are embracing my mission wholeheartedly.

Yesterday, while having my usual latte in a trendy cafe, I struck up a conversation with a group of young Italian women. After a few minutes of chatting about ballet, guess what? One of them confessed to having a dusty, pink tutu tucked away in her wardrobe! She told me she'd been considering donating it, but now, thanks to me, she was thinking of dusting it off and giving it another whirl. It just goes to show, darling, tutus can be a reminder to tap into our inner joy and never let go of our creativity.

And speaking of dreams, I must admit, my trip to Milan has been an absolute whirlwind of delightful experiences! However, all good things must come to an end, and it's time for me to return to Derbyshire, my beloved home county, and the many excited little ballerina students eager to hear all about my adventures.

I can already imagine the delight on their faces as I share stories of my time in Italy. It's those smiles and the joy they get from exploring the world of dance, however big or small, that make my job so rewarding.

My upcoming week is jam-packed, as I gear up for a grand showcase with my ballet school – a mix of traditional classics and modern contemporary pieces, showcasing the talent of the students, both big and small! It's always so heartwarming to witness their passion and dedication, reminding me why I fell in love with the art of dance.
